  1. Tam, if you get promoted you might want to invest in a couple of ballboys. It looks very public parky to see the goalie disappearing over the banking to fetch the ball. And while you're at it gat the council to build another block of flats to block that big space the wind howls through.
  2. Nice to see people taking advantage of the reduced admission price. The extra fans made for a better atmosphere.
  3. Thirteen matches, that's some ban. What did he do?
  4. Results have been working out ok for us whilst we have been inactive, but Elgin must have a good chance against Annan tonight with them having had that tough cup tie against Rangers.
  5. I was looking forward to watching Swinglehurst kicking lumps out of these pampered ibrox prima donnas but sadly he wasn't picked.
  6. You can't bring players in without moving players on I guess. Clarke never got much of a chance under Ross. Wish him all the best.
  7. You could see Hutton had played at a higher level, but he didn't have the legs anymore.
  8. Great bit of business for you guys getting Jamieson fixed up . Did Alloa just let him go? Surely not, but then again Barry Ferguson
  9. You're right about the ref. He is hopeless and easily conned. He was useless refereeing div 2 games, but that hasn't stopped him moving up the chain . The next lot coming along are no better.
  10. Well, that's that. Didn't want to jinx it by saying so beforehand but I felt that this was a really pivotal game. Win and the team's above us might start getting nervous but there was nothing in that performance to worry them. I lost count of how many times we simply gave the ball away, including from all of our throw ins. The draw would have been a fair result but somehow you knew what did happen was going to happen. What has happened to the controlled possession football we played in our first few games under Ross? This new striker will need to be a combination of Joe Jordan and Alan Shearer to get us out of this.
  11. Stenny were missing Thomson and O'Reilly, and it showed. Once Jamieson went off they looked vulnerable at the back as well. Thought Wedderburn was their best player. Still not too sure about leaving Liam Buchanan out but you couldn't argue with the performance today. If we can show that attitude and application every week we might get out of it yet.
  12. Surprised to see Stirling letting Dylan Bikey go always thought he was pretty decent, he would certainly add some pace to our front line. Forget that, seems he is homesick and heading back to France.
  13. He was still fuming at the end but luckily his teammates calmed him down.
  14. We are playing better than our results have shown so maybe we will get a bit of luck for a change. Barr will be a miss of course, but our problems are at the other end of the field.
  15. You can't fault the players for effort. Even with ten men they never gave up. Referee was diabolical, the sfa seem to have an endless supply of them .
  16. Eighteen games left and I reckon Cowdenbeath would have to win eleven of them to avoid finishing bottom. Not impossible but we would need some quality signings who would have to hit the ground running.
  17. Merry Christmas to all you Cowden fans out there, I think we all know what to ask Santa for.
  18. Pretty well summed up by Nelly. I know Liam Buchanan has been a bit off the boil recently but I think not starting him was a mistake. You could see the difference he made when he came on.
  19. We are definitely playing better under Ross than we were latterly under Bollan, but as we know from bitter experience once you're down there it's so difficult to get out of it. A missed penalty and a goal chalked off for not very much are just typical of what happened before. Makes Wednesday's game even more important Nothing else to do except keep the faith and get right behind the team.
  20. ls everyone too cheesed off to bother commenting on Saturdays game? Travelled 150 miles in pouring rain only to miss the first goal as I was too busy watching Mullen and the Stranraer no 2 having a stand up fight in the middle of the park. Mullen's temperament really is a problem Second goal took a big deflection and was scored while Craig Barr was off getting treatment. Here endeth the excuses. Same team as finished last week but not the same performance. Give the manager his due, he took Hutton off at half time, swapped things around and we were the better side in the second half, but you never had the feeling we were going to get back in it Hit the bar and squandered three half decent chances. It is vital that we improve our finishing. Ross Clarke is about the only player who hasn't had a run out under the new boss. I imagine there will be some changes come January but in the mean time we have two home games we really must get something from
  21. I suppose the manager needs to see all the players in action before deciding on his best formation. Our possession football frustrated Forfar and kept them at arms length for most of the game. Once we were undone at the set piece the game was up, for we carry zero threat up front. Taking off both strikers when we were two nil down seemed a bit bonkers but the game was done by then
  22. Didn't help that McHardie was given a free pass by the ref to boot him up and down the park. From the moment of Mango's mysterious departure we looked vulnerable, particularly at set pieces Building from the back is preferable to Bollan's hoofball but it does run the risk of losing possession in our own half. Whether we have the players with the skill and movement to make it work I don't know. In a league where, apart from Kelty, everyone is capable of beating everyone else, I reckon we will need to win half our games to avoid bottom. It looks a big ask at the moment.
