  1. A group of masked fans stormed the main stand at pittodrie last night in protest at letting this title slip away to such a rum club. It is said Peter leven was apologising to fans in his office for such an embarrassment. Barry robson has left the country in disgrace until the anger dissipates.
  2. Do people still listen to off the ball? If they’re desperate to have some output that is clickbait trolling stuff then replace off the ball with a shite phone in show like talksport or 606 on 5 live. Let them get their wee social media clicks, then let the adults listen to the stuff about football on a Saturday afternoon.
  3. That depends on what date it is. I could end up being at soft play with my daughter or if I’m lucky I could be on a weekend away with the mrs.
  4. Happily missed this today with the wee one. Well done to Dundee, some return to the big league and decent side to watch.
  5. 100%. Distinctly remember at the PAOK home game thinking ‘he’s played really well here, what’s he got up his sleeve…’
  6. Depressing that it’s difficult to picture us winning a home game with Dundee but that’s where we are. Suspect if we manage it then the only thing standing between us and the summer holidays is a morale sapping and meek defeat to Celtic at hampden. Hooray.
  7. Yeah agree, suspect his mistakes being so high profile over shadowed a lot of the good he did. In fairness, I never thought he was bad. Just that his mistakes were so costly that we couldn’t necessarily afford to persist. Definitely changed my view on it now. If we could bring in one or two quality centre halves beside him we’ll be considerably better.
  8. ^^^ realises this is in fact pretty much done and had to squeeze in one last crack about how long it’s taking.
  9. The old firm coverage is ridiculous but I think there has to be a reasonable acceptance that most of their readership will be old firm fans and the reference is just a way to draw them into reading the story. I was watching some EFL highlights at the weekend and a goal was scored by Joe Nuttall. Likely mean nothing to you but the name rang a bell so I googled and turns out I was right, he made two appearances for Aberdeen back early on in the mcinnes era. The only reason I googled him was a very passing association with Aberdeen. That mindset is all they’re leaning into with it and I don’t think it’s that unreasonable a tactic.
  10. I hope he keeps it up. Unfortunately there will be folk who will hate that about him.
  11. Worth saying to anyone who’s been on this thread saying contacting their club is pointless - it’s clear the clubs aren’t happy with VAR and at the very least want change to its implementation. Get your club told what you really think of it. Increase the pressure.
  12. No no, after being raging that we weren’t pursuing Neil Lennon 2 weeks ago, he was saying last weekend that it would be ‘the final nail in the coffin’ if we failed to land Jimmy thelin. Im sure he knows what he meant by that in his head, but either way he’ll be mightily relieved I’m sure.
  13. Aberdeen being shite isn’t really relevant to you still being raging over a marginal refereeing decision from back in August.
  14. It doesn’t sort anything. It looks like it’s ‘probably’ offside, but it really isn’t the point.
  15. That really doesn’t wash given how often we’re told that camera angles and perspective skew what we see on telly and that we just need to trust that VAR always gets offside right.
  16. statement is good but I’d actually say it’s the wrong incident to call for VAR to be removed. If you accept that technology has glitches like the Hawkeye system failing then you’d think it would be easy enough to have a strict protocol saying if the system isn’t working, don’t fucking guess and then lie about why you haven’t released the evidence of the decision. it isn’t something that actually requires the removal of VAR. The removal of VAR is a broader point about the impact on the game and the problems of which it solves none of. That decision on Saturday at livi took a good 5 minutes after celebrating what seemed like a winning goal. And for what?
  17. In all seriousness that is absolutely farcical way of making the decision and explains a lot. That decision took fucking ages on Saturday and turns out they’ve ultimately guessed in the end. Mental stuff.
  18. Bad news is I’ve got the semi final, good news for you is @kingjoey is doing this weekends game with Dundee.
