  4. Very much doubt we'd take a nominal fee and lose him now. Next to no chance of replacing him in January and he's too important. Whilst I'm certain he will go I don't think he's in such a rush as to leave us this month either.
  5. There was a nicotine patch advert on tv last night. The whole premise was it fulfilling a New Years resolution, with the woman claiming her life has changed dramatically for the better because she carried out her New Years resolution of stopping smoking. This was on the 6th January, so not even a week.

  8. Cheers. My diet is currently high protein/low carb to aid weight loss but might not be the best for running. I also have a protein shake after every run/gym workout. I'm doing a run 3 days a week (1 of which is interval training) and 3 days at the gym, with gym focus on weights and HIIT. I'm hoping the combination of the two will see the fat burn come in as well. Will continue to monitor weight loss/composition over the next month or so and see how it goes, also conscious that lack of fat burn could be due to Christmas indulgence.
  9. Nah I’ve accepted that long runs will diminish muscle, it was more that I still have plenty fat to shift. I am losing weight but I’m keen for it not ‘just’ to be muscle but also fat.
  10. Nothing you’ve said is wrong, it’s just not particularly relevant to what I asked. It’s fine, I’ve moved on with my life.

  12. Wouldn’t say it was stinking but i will never understand folk who go to a restaurant and ask for a bowl of pasta with cheese mixed through it.
  13. Yeah I think I’ll have to accept muscle loss and that’s fine, it’s just that I’m still carrying too much fat and don’t want it to prevent fat burn. I’m splitting my time between running and gym/weights/HIIT so hopefully that will work long term.
