I think you’ve pretty much nailed it there. The current squad mixed with the old system gave us virtually no goal threat. Three ‘industrial’ midfielders behind one striker who either isn’t mobile, stays outside the box or doesn’t have the instinct of Rooney. It doesn’t really matter how good the delivery of the wingers is in that instance. The 16/17 team as you say had the perfect balance from midfield to front. Then add in a more potent threat from shay Logan, set piece threat from Taylor/considine, and a top keeper behind them. I miss that team.

I’m the opposite. Like you I could clearly see he was a quality player but he’s had me seething this season at how good he’s been.

Glad to hear it, although I think we both know that the musings of FF isn’t really a barometer for the sanity of a normal human. Although I suspect the outrage on FF stems from the narrow minded view that winning an OF match is the be all and end all of Scottish football. I am good though cheers, enjoying a wee break from the football actually to focus on other things, mainly my own health.

He wasn’t fit and he could’ve done more but it’s not nonsense. He’s clearly a better player through the middle and we never gave him a chance there. Not that he ever did much to justify it.

Tried some clothes on this morning that I haven't fit into in about two years and although slightly on the tight side, just about acceptable to wear for the day. In terms of footballing cliche's, it's like having a few new signings.
