  1. Annual confirmation statement showing shareholders was published on companies house on Monday. David Smith has the 3rd highest amount of ordinary shares which comes to 4.53% and Lachlan has 57.88%. Noticed the Honest Men Trust have 2% although I've not sure if they even still exist.
  2. If Ndaba does sign then as a left footer he'll be a straight replacement for Roscoe. Kerr has shown he either, doesn't feel Muirhead or Baird are capable of playing on their weaker side or that he just prefers the balance a left and right footer provides. Either way hopefully it would be an upgrade on the current defence.
  3. Since I doubt he was intended to be a starter I'd agree with you. Can't be easy changing positions every couple of games although a regular run at RB could be ideal to really judge him. Up until last month he had been a regular, Was then benched for a game (where his replacement was sent off) and returned the next week before being benched for the Scottish Cup defeat. Seems like Reid wants 4 or 5 experienced signings for them this month so hopefully he isn't one of the ones being replaced and can kick on for the rest of the season.
  4. Not writing Ecrepont off but if he can't hold down a regular place in this current Albion Rovers team then he's not the answer to our current problems other than being an extra body. Unfortunately he's not kicked on as much as Josh Doig and Josh Reid both of whom are are playing in the Premiership and are now ahead of him for the Scotland U19's LB spot. Miller was reported as a two year deal here https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/former-celtic-youth-michael-miller-22480043 so wouldn't get your hopes up. As for Ness I'd pass as no doubt he'd get injured in training and would never play a game.
  5. I think recruitment over two windows hasn't been brilliant although it is tricky and I expect in his time here too McCall would have more misses than hits. No of course I wasn't implying he was exempt from criticism but he is our top scorer and also has the joint most assists in the team. He would be the player I'd build the team around in that number 10 role however my issue with a left footed player who isn't particularly quick playing right midfield is the least of Kerr's worries right now.
  6. Unfortunately based on performances when you offer them to players like Michael Miller and Joe Chalmers (+ a fee) it becomes more of an issue than a benefit. I agree that we want to stabilise ourselves as a Championship club and try and build something but realistically our only sellable asset in Luke McCowan is out of contract at the end of the season. No idea how likely he'd be to stay if Premiership clubs were interested.
  7. Although it became hoofball with him in the team I wouldn't disagree . He certainly had a work rate that Malley lacked although skills wise Malley was the better of the two. However not sure Drinan was so impressive that Kerr needed to hold out all summer for him. If that's the style he wanted to play then Anderson was never a like for like replacement and it was clear he didn't know how to get the best out of him.
  8. Think Kerr's job is made more difficult if he buries the current players and is then unable to replace them in this window. Last January he brought in Gillespie, Drinan, Tiffoney and Malley (and although hard to judge with the shortened season) none of them were particularly great. Anyone brought in this month are unlikely to be match fit straightaway if the 3 options are young players on loan, people who have been free agents for a while or experienced players who aren't getting a game.
  9. Had he stayed Harvie would have been ideal as the next captain as on the pitch he was up for a battle and also a good talker. Watching the current team they appear quite quiet although It's possible this is just how it appears on TV since you don't pick up as much as when we're actually at the games.
  10. In terms of a drop in performances 15/16 was worse where as in 16/17 we were consistently terrible. You were close, we had 15 games without a win in the league until we beat Raith (Stevo as GK game) and also finished without a win in 7 that season.
  11. Had McCall stayed last season I’m not sure he’d have done much better than Kerr. We always started the season well and then we’d gradually get worse and he bailed on us before it could happen again. I did compare the first 18 games against the final 18 games in each of McCall’s four full seasons and we were worse in the second half of every season. The worst was 18/19 when in the first 18 games our PPG was 2 and in the following 18 games it was 1. Unfortunately for Kerr his managerial career has only been during the months of Oct-Mar so he’s not been able to benefit as much from a decent playing surface however the style of play he has adopted has not exactly been a great watch.
  12. McCowan might be more suited. Breakthrough was as a No. 10 and playing central would save him having to cut back on his left foot every time he runs down the right wing.
  13. You do realise they have to finish in the top 4 for that to happen?
  14. The league was always going to be tight this season with less matches and playing without fans. Outside of Hearts most teams are of a similar standard and I’m not sure anyone has put together much of a consistent run. Curious to know if the people wanting Kerr sacked genuine think we’re in danger of being relegated or have fan expectations been raised that much in the last couple of years that even a mid-table finish is now unacceptable.
  15. Worth remembering that when he was on the half time show David Smith said the club had budgeted for fans being back in by now and that recently himself and Tracy had to redo the budget. You actually have to question what advice clubs received from the SPFL, SFA, Joint Response Group and the SFA’s Chief Medical Consultant and if it was suggested that fans would be back by now and if so why they thought that would the case. Clubs won't be full of medical experts so if they've budgeted based on advice from the governing bodies then you can't exactly blame them. However if no guarantees were given and clubs have gambled on predicting when the pandemic would be over themselves then that's on them.
  16. However he was the idol of Romeo Filipovic who did turn up at Ayr
  17. 8.3 is the only one I see that suggests someone could play for more than one team. However most of the rules are written in such a long-winded way it can be hard to work out what some mean.
  18. Given the number of times in the last 8 years he's ran back to manage Troon I doubt he had any real interest in us A cynic might suggest his intention was to buy as much land in and around the club to further his own business rather than really benefit the club.
  19. For Saturday with Smith/Cameron cup tied and Reading/Sinisalo(?) away on international duty hopefully Walsh can make the bench to boost the numbers.
  20. That's true and he's too far away in the second half. @No_ProblemoI think this might be a reason. It's from when AUmedia first decided to do a live stream for overseas but jumped the gun announcing it without testing first.
  21. It’s going to be hard for him as he’ll be compared with Harvie’s second season rather than his first. Excluding his header assist last week I think overall he’s been fine defensively. Hard to criticise his attacking game since he’s not been able to build up a partnership on the left. If he can get a run of games with Walsh or Zanatta ahead of him then I’m hopeful we’ll see that side of him improve.
  22. Baird should be doing that job since he's captain. With Muirhead suspended now it's not like we can even change things up for next week. Would argue the fact Baird's even captain highlights we don't have many leaders. St Mirren fans said he was better with an experienced partner. However as long as Roscoe has a left foot I expect that'll be his partner. Despite Kerr claiming he had planned in advance for Bell possibly leaving I think a left sided CB should have been a target if that was the case.
  23. The season we won the league we blew a 2 goal lead and lost 3-2 at home to Forfar. Goals that day were 75, 83, and 88 minutes. At that time they were bottom of the league and had only won 3 of 18 games. As for this season on the park we probably lack leaders when you consider in the last 2 seasons we've lost Higgins, Rose, Shankland, Adams, Docherty, Harvie, Geggan, Bell and Kerr himself. If we had some of them playing today they'd have been encouraging each other and demanding more from the players around them. Didn't see that today.
  24. I got an email that they'd taken payment which had went into my junk folder.
  25. Not that I know of, it's a young player. I guess some would have been accused him of scoring an OG against Stirling Albion in pre season on purpose.
