@SlipperyP on holiday. Taking a sabbatical. Back as normal next week. First look at P&B all week as the wife and kids fell asleep early.

Got a call from a Nottingham number I didn’t know but answered anyway. Someone from India representing some green energy company (I think. I’m on holiday and a few beers in by this point). He starts his script so after a minute I interrupt and say “look let’s cut to the chase. Bring me the contract and we can have a few pints, a bite to eat and shake on the deal.” He starts his script again so I repeat with the addition of “I’m an old fashioned guy. Shake hands, pay cash and have a drink together.” He hung up.

4/10 for Thursday and Friday. On sabbatical next week. Back the week after. Spending next week in the sun celebrating my latest wooden spoon.

8/10 but had I read the first question properly it would have been 9 and if I’d gone with my first instinct rather than try to second guess myself at monopoly it would have been 10.

Vent long and vent often pal. Sometimes these posts can be enough to release the stress and tension you’re feeling. Here is a safe space and (not me personally) there are a few who have suffered similar and will offer advice, support and words of comfort. Keep your head held high because hard as it is you’re doing a great thing.

Full of overpaid mercenaries who don’t know the value of the hard work it takes to get here. Won’t miss them to be honest. Prefer it back among the honest pros.
