He’s actually been spoke about a number of times when we had a vacancy, given his links to the club and his success overseas. It was always suggested that he’d not be looking for a pay drop etc coming from the top flight MLS. He’s alluded to the fact that it’s dream to manage his boyhood team, but also stated that it’s a way to build a profile in the U.K. market which is hard to break Into From the Far East and North America. I think more Falkirk fans than you think were well aware of him. Some would have known him personally when he grew up here and others when his name came up on the outside of earlier management vacancies.

Bit of a bummer that we were ahead but more training sessions won’t do us harm. Just make his role redundant and if we want a senior / Director level appointment similar to it redefine the role to what we need. whatever Holt is doing it’s not working - unless the objective is to ruin the club.

Why does it need to be Holt as DoF though? The role isn’t the problem it’s the incumbent.

Nah I think the price goes up with demand. If you are offering to pay 1k a week to someone on 800 say, and they are otherwise happy to move they won’t f**k themselves out of 200 a week by being greedy looking for say 1200. They’re either happy with moving on terms we want to pay or not. Different dynamic when there are other options which is the card any agent would play anyway. Sorry but my client is being offered 1100 somewhere else has more legs in it than.
