Where did you hear that? Thought he seemed quite happy with us playing at this level but could understand why he'd want to leave. -

I've heard the same. I'm not against some folk making a bit of noise but I'm not up for some wee old firm fannies coming in and making an arse of DFC. -

I remember someone sat shouting abuse at Gribben the entire game, he got sent off and gave the finger in the direction of the home fans. Said p***k then went running towards the steward to complain. Who the f**k does that? I still see him and his larger sibling floating about at home games. Unfortunately the horrendous abuse he received at the hands of Gribben wasn't enough to put him off. -

Is it just me who has nae clue who this character is? There's an old boy down the front row (usually sporting a baseball cap) who generally spends the majority of the match giving the linesman pelters, is it him? -

Aye it's a weird one. Maybe it's a cryptic type thing as if to say 'we know you know therefore we're updating you to let you know that we know you know' without directly mentioning the stadium. You know? -

Players I'd be happy to let go come the end of the season: Ewings (keep Grindlay as backup but doubt he'd want to stay) Smith Shug Murray McDougall Agnew (unless he's happy to stay on as backup) McLaughlin (again would be happy to keep as backup) Prunty (his best is behind him, does f**k all when he's brought on these days) Plus all your other nonsense such as Phinn, Ronald etc. -

Exactly. The 'us and them' attitude is created by all the mystery surrounding Brabco and their refusal to interact with fans/make themselves known. Surely if their motive was to have the club sustaining themselves at Championship level and fighting for a promotion play off spot they'd want the fans to know who they are? I certainly would if I were them. Why shouldn't we be suspicious of the whole situation or the owners intentions/motives? Mysterious owners who remain anonymous to the supporters and chat in the local rag of selling our stadium for the valuble land it sits on with very little coming from the club itself. I wouldn't be fooled by how well we're doing on the field because if Barbco cared a jot about that they would be taking the plaudits right, left and centre for our current situation. -

Time to start asking questions about this pish. It's an absolute joke we are seeing this in the reporter and the board haven't uttered a peep. I'll be chaining myself to the turnstyle this Saturday in protest. Completely naked wearing nothing but my Ian Murray mask. -

Even if we had Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez turning out for us all you old boys would still claim that they couldn't lace the boots of old Cruncher McKay, One Eyed Jimmy and Biscuit Barrell Broon. Get yourself down and see what all the fuss is about! Best team we've had in decades playing in modern facilities perfectly suited to the clubs needs. -

Aye, think I'll take a gander down. Hopefully there's no arse clenchingly cringeworthy questions such as 'can you wave at us when we're at away games Ian? We're your biggest fans' -

I'm confident Kane will stay. Even if May leaves (which I doubt) he wouldn't be ready to step up as a first team regular at that level. Half a season with us will benefit him massively. As for McShane, not a chance. Seems to have seriously lost his way and by all accounts has been terrible at Hamilton. -

Just asked the very same question on the match thread. Must be at least 2 or 3 years -

Fingers crossed we can keep him then. Murray was quoted as saying it could depend on St Johnstone holding onto Stevie May during January, any word on potential bids for him? Best of luck to Smith but I'm glad to see Murray has released him thus freeing up a wage for a defender. Would like to see his namesake leave with him due to his clear fitness issues. If we manage to secure another defender then there is no real need for us to hold onto Scott and we may need to reinforce the bench if he gets any bigger. Phinn is another I'd be happy to see the back of. We should also be looking to send young McKerracher out on loan, from what I've seen he looks a cracking prospect that's wasting away sitting on the bench week in week out. He'd really benefit from some game time which disappointingly isn't likely to happen with us. -
The East Fife Thread
Bring Back Paddy Flannery replied to King Kebab's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Apparently Kevin Smith is on his way to East Fife after agreeing to terminate his contract with ourselves (not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere) Really didn't impress at all and after a couple of games at the start of the season we moved to secure Nish as it was clear Kevin wouldn't cut it in the Championship. Did play a blinder against Berwick in the cup so maybe dropping down a league is what he needs. Decent pedigree and reckon there is a player in there somewhere but unfortunately we never seen even a hint of it (Berwick apart). -

Reid is a good player who suffered from the Morton effect this season. Someone who can cover both full back and centre back would be ideal and at 27 he's not exactly past it. According to Wikipedia he recently spent some time on trial at Coventry so not sure he'd be keen signing on as back up in a part time squad. My preference would be Barry but really cant see it happening. -

McNiff was nothing more than distinctly average when he played with us, never really understood the fuss over him. I would be seriously worried if we had to resort to playing him. Anyone claiming Chizzy was a hero or should be anywhere near our current squad is merely jesting. Character yes, football player no. -

What's the deal with the Lennox Herald's dreadful coverage of Sons games/news etc? The defeat of Hamilton last week should have been all over the back page but all we got was a tiny square in the top corner. Infact we've not had the full back page for a long time. A singular page inside isn't really good enough when we used to get about 4 pages, pull outs etc. Lets petrol bomb the b*****ds. -

If a CB reads the game well they don't need pace. Graham is our most consistent performer IMO, a player we couldn't do without. He's also a fantastic captain who never stops encouraging and talking the team through games. -

Aye, it beggars belief. If you thought he was bad at pre-season wait til you see him now. Proper belly jiggling when he runs material. He must have been comfort eating during his recent injury. -

Would be nice to get an update on Agnew's injury. Murray needs to get a new striker and defender in regardless. If Graham or Barry get injured were snookered, Scott Smith is in absolutely no shape to be playing at this level. I'm still not convinced Barry will stay after his loans up, the travelling sounds like a bit of a nightmare. -

Finnie was semi decent with us but I certainly wouldn't be comparing him with the likes of McCarthy and McArthur. Utterly miles off that sort of standard. If we signed him he'd be nothing more than backup to McGinn. Waste of a wage IMO. -

Wouldn't waste a wage on Finnie tbh. Wouldn't touch McShane either, he's been shite since he signed for Accies.
