  1. A very slim chance, indeed - there's, arguably, a bigger chance of one of the other 41 teams going bust and saving us that way. Any volunteers? Please? I'd suggest Sevco/Rainjurz, but then they'd just get parachuted into League 2 - again.
  2. I was going to type something negative, but I need to heed my own advice here; the time to point fingers and blame and get angry is on the evening of the 18th. The slimmest of chances remain - a turnaround of massive proportions that you couldn't ever get me to bet on. Yet, we shall see. I wish the boys, John, and Yano all the best. I would fancy a result, if only to make sure that Johnny Harvey and his gang of Facebook warriors will hold no illusions of doing a better job had they remained in place.
  3. I claim no credit for this modern reimagining of the classic zebra;
  4. Lad is a bad choice of word on my part, but then English is far from my first language. I've seen both Norwich and Shef Utd play on a fair few occasions and I think both can surprise next year - especially given Stuart Webber (who masterminded Huddersfield's promotion) will continue to helm Norwich' technical department as sporting director and United's approach to playing from the back. I rate both of them higher than the 17/18 Cardiff and Fulham sides. Fair point on me kicking the -ism hornets' nest in this particular thread, but I've seen that card pulled on Twitter a fair few times this morning - very similar to Hughton's dismissal at Norwich.
  5. Hot take; firing Hughton is absolutely the right decision. Brighton were teethless in the second half of the season, 3 wins in, what, 20 matches or so? Firing the lad now stops the rot and gives a new manager a full off-season to prepare for what will be a very tough 2019/2020 season (Norwich and Sheffield Utd are seriously good and won't wildly spend money like a headless chicken and go down in flames like Fulham). Hughton did the exact same thing with Norwich in, I think it was 2012/2013, yet they kept him on into the next season until it was too late to avoid relegation. It's a brave decision to let him go now, after securing safety and the semi final in the FA Cup, but it's Brighton's best bet, really. Cue all the asshats who will now cry racism or something of the like on Twitter.
  6. Are County continuing with them? Loved the 18/19 home shirt to the point of buying it in the Xmas sale. Edinburgh City signed with them last week, increasing their market share even further. Juventus' latest meanwhile looks as bad in action as it did in the promo shots. It launches with the tagline 'be the stripes';
  7. Either way, Sean B., Kyle, and Ryan, Adrian, Jack C., Andrew, Craig, Jordan, Boab, and Dougie, Lewis, Cameron, Ross, Declan, Sean M., and Jack O, Calum, Ahmed, Grant, Daryl, and Ousman. John and Yano. Do us proud today, boys; everyone is behind you - no one will blame you. Go on and show the world what they were missing back when JH was manager!
  8. Come to think, who tae f**k is going to finish last in 2019/2020 if Berwick Rangers are down in the LL? I imagine the bottom half of the league is rooting for us today.
  9. I love me a good bit of hummel but I'm not sold on the white sleeves for Montrose - even if they've had them previously (most recent use was in '99). Tranmere meanwhile wear this uninspired piece of shit (same template as Chesterfield, Plymouth, and Luton as seen previously in this thread);
  10. I'm not sure why we are even discussing this, bit pointless and everything's been said a fair few times over previously. Brora lost, for whatever reason, Montrose stayed up and are now a shining example of what Berwick Rangers should aspire to.
  11. Yeah, see, I don't think anyone on P&B in their right mind thinks Cove will lose the play-off - no reason to bust that line out then.
  12. Just having a rummage through the Wikipedia page for this season, the absolute state of being involved in four of the five mtches called out for high scorelines, with us on the receiving end three times;
  13. Fair points, all of which I find sensible. Nonetheless, the only point of reference we have is East Stirlingshire and, for one reason or another, their attendance figures are down. Speaking on purely personal terms, I will always prefer squeaky bum seasons in L2 with the odd 7-1 over solid top of the table football in the LL, purely because Berwick Rangers (and any club other club for that matter) should always strive to play at the highest possible level.
  14. I know, it's more that I foolishly forgot our own position for half a second there
  15. I was gonna say 'why aren't we on the list', but never mind. For what it's worth, Aidan McIlduff (DF), Jack Cook (DF), Grant Rose (FW), Daryl Healy (FW)
  16. And none of the 'big' clubs played Champions League football for the first 50, 60, 70 years of their existence (or got millions in tv money), yet now rely on the annual continental windfall to survive. It's almost like, I dunno, times change and clubs along with it based partially on what level they play at? BRFC will have to tighten their belt massively in the event of relegation and it remains to be seen whether casual fans, who are used to and spoiled by league football, will come back for consecutive years of Lowland League football.
  17. I suppose I should rattle out a final post before the game at Balmoral; perhaps on the off-chance that the players read it, or to try and unify the fans on here (again, welcome to all the new BRFC-supporting members). The position the club are in right now has been coming for years, albeit at a rather excellerated pace this season compared to the downward trend that was evident in 16/17 and 17/18 - previously it seemed unthinkable to finish so far behind the other 9 teams, with part of that coming down to the presence of a poor Cowden side (who have improved tremendously) and East Stirlingshire. The boardroom troubles and appointment of Johnny Harvey are the leading causes of our complete self-destruction this season, and with Albion Rovers getting their shit together and deciding not to function as a safety net, it is only natural that we are where we are now - just like how Cove Rangers, no matter what people may think of that club (oil money, blabla), have reached the play-off final on merit. Nowhere in the above have I mentioned the players, because none of them (none of you, if you read this) are at fault. A fair few stuck by the club through the off-season after another disappointing campaign, a fair few were brought in by Robbie Horn at the start of the season, and then a fair few were recruited by Johnny Harvey; despite these varying backgrounds, I strongly feel that every player has given everything he had in him, in often very trying conditions. We were well short of a competitive budget in the summer, got battered in the cup group stage and some of the early matches despite promising results v. both Albions in the division, and then had Horn leave us. Johnny Harvey was brought in, got the budget Horn should have gotten in the first place, but for one reason or another, it was not meant to be - exactly why it didn't work is irrelevant now. What is relevant is that the players, our players, showed fight every match, even if they ended up well-beaten by superior opponents and/or streaks of misfortune. Despite this, all of us on P&B and a fair few on other social media have been rather negative throughout proceedings (for which I certainly can't blame anyone), which is not what our players deserve; rather, they should have received nothing but appreciation and encouragement for the shifts they have put in on the pitch. What I hope to articulate and espouse now, then, is that we, as fans have and will back our team, our players, unconditionally. I've no doubt the black and gold faithful will be out in full force at Balmoral, and especially at Shielfied to the point of drowning out the Cove fans in terms of both number and sound. Sean B., Kyle, and Ryan, Adrian, Jack C., Andrew, Craig, Jordan, Boab, and Dougie, Lewis, Cameron, Ross, Declan, Sean M., and Jack O, Calum, Ahmed, Grant, Daryl, and Ousman. I know you can do this, together with John and Yano and everyone else at the club, as a team - as proud and fearless Berwick Rangers. We have failed eachother at some points during the year, but we've now 180 minutes to save the season, to save the club from what will be years of Lowland League football. All of us will shout and scream our hearts out for you, as you take to the pitch to fight 'til the final whistle. You are all troopers for having gone through our shite season, now go on and take this chance to become heroes. No one will blame you if we go down, but no one will ever forget you if we beat Cove.
  18. Ajax have never had a third colour on their home shirts in this capacity, at least not in living memory. Which is actually incredible when you think about it, what with kits being swapped out annually.
  19. Painful; Ajax would have been the home team in the CL final and worn this. Bad timing of the launch now, and it looks like shite; black does NOT go on an Ajax home shirt. Period. It's different for the sake of being different, and rpelicas retail for 89,95 Euros; that's just over 77 Pounds....
  20. Absolute shithousery from PSV here; a 'thank you mr. sponsor' shirt, honouring their horrible sponsor (for it is not Philips) by fleecing fans with a limited edition one-match-use shirt that is really just an off the peg template. I expected better from Umbro
