Sorry, slightly off topic- but has anyone seen the fucking state of this article: https://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/fp/no-dundee-derby-sees-dark-blues-coffers-take-hit/

What it omits to say is the The Rangers replaced Utd last season and Hamilton's win at the expense of Utd is mitigated somewhat by Hibs replacing ICT.

Contrast this with the Courier's article boasting about Utd's budget being largest in the Championship and their financial situation not being as desperate as "reported elsewhere" (presumably by themselves in response to the auditor's report). I don't believe DCT has an agenda against either team but they do themselves no favours with shite like this.

I saw that last night and just laughed. The journalist was George Cran who has written some pish about us this season but that article takes the biscuit. Our finances like every other team will increase with the subsequent departure of a Inverness and arrival of Hibs by probably 2000 paying customers per season.

Pity that hasn't registered with George.

Ohh where do we start :whistle the filth got pumped fae the Accies and are STILL DOON.

Must ask some of the dayglo infiltrators on here if it feels like being relegated 2 years on the trot....

oh and we're just waiting on Dundee Hibernian being liquidated for a 2nd time. :whistle

Based on the fact that Dundee seemed to have bounced from mess to mess in the last few seasons.

Much like the situation with Stevie Mallan and the £60k bid last season, it's hopefully all a bit pie in the sky and wishful thinking. There is very few clubs in Scotland who can afford to take another full time club's manager with two years to run on his deal.

How many years ago are you basing the "bounced from mess to mess in the last few seasons" comment on? Certainly isn't since Keyes and Nelms took over.

Anyway if Dundee do intend on making Ross manager it will happen. Ross will just resign leaving us free of a compensation payment and him free to take over the reigns at Dens.

Draper would be near the top of my list as would Meekings. Fyvie is a good shout but surprised to see he's out of the picture at Hibs. Jones is an unlikely one but I'd have him in a heartbeat.

Those are largely signings above our pay grade I reckon though.

None of them will be above our pay scale.

Jack Ross wouldn't come I don't think. He's got more chance of managing St Mirren in the top flight after next season than Dundee with he players he'd be left with.

    Stop it!

New season, new group of players. Plenty of comings and goings over the next 8 weeks or do.

I remember being thankful we still had Hemmings and Stewart towards the end of the window. Particularly Hemmings. When he was through on goal you knew he was going to score. His composure was excellent and I thought he would carry us this season as I expected Stewart to go to Rangers. Losing Kane was unexpected and ultimately the major part in how shite our season has been, imo. We've created plenty of chances and we've had opportunities where we've been through on goal but lacked that composure to bury chances. Especially early in the season. f**k knows what happened to the team mentally but we seemed to get worse and worse as the season wore on. I think we just have a bang average team with no leaders. They all hide and lack the ability to go up a level to win a game with an extra bit of class. The sad thing is I can't remember us ever having players of the calibre of Hemmings and Stewart for many years and I can't see us digging up any gems like them for years either.

Spot on. Said at the game on Wednesday that if we had Hemmings in our side we would've be in a lot better position. For how well Haber plays in holding the ball up and winning most stuff in the air his finishing is criminal. I wasn't at the game today but went to the other 4 games since the split and Haber's missed at least 5 very, very simple chances in these games alone.
