Is this the best thing for us?

He's a level above in the Scottish Premiership and was a joy to watch but we'll be back to square one in May when he leaves for good.

I'd much rather look to bring in someone with a view to next season.

You could argue he could be the difference in an outside chance of top six however.

    Thank you.

Let’s concentrate on this season a bit more 1st.

    Fiercely Dundee.

With no football for a few weeks I still feel like spouting some pish about the Dees:

With the shoe in player of the year Owen Beck gone which cunto can now step up and take the prize.

Front runner is McCowan at 8/11 who has been a match winner for us. I've been calling for him in a 10/Central role for a while as he clearly had vision above the norm. Didn't quite have the pace for the wing which a competent manager finally seen. Just needs to step up against better opposition IMO.

Shagger Shaughnessy at 2/1 has shored up our defence and been a huge improvement on total horseshit like Sweeney, Gomis, Ibsen Rossi, Ryan McGowan and Fontaine to name a few over the years.

Boateng at 14/1 has had a competent half season but would need to add goals/assists to pip on of the other two.

If you're looking for major odds then Bakayoko to have a goal filled second half of the season to build on a relatively okay start is a 33/1 punt.

Carson to wipe away a shaky month or two and build on his good start with an Oliver Khan inspired 2024 50/1.

Cant think of any others and fair play to McCowan after being Mr inconsistent for too many seasons.  He may well get a move for some dough in the summer if he keeps his form up.

    Thank you.

Shaughnessey for me. Although Beck has been our best player so far I’d say Shaughnessey would be a bigger loss. He’s so key in how we’ve defended. Another great signing by The Doc.

That's just the way the bigot brothers work ...some smaller team unearths a quality young player and they just have to fucking have him ..it's as if they just let other teams do the scouting for them..c***s I hate the both of them .

If only we had a decent tv deal to compete with the c***s.

Oh dear. If the sole issue was ‘negative football’, I don’t think we’d support St Johnstone at all. Callum Davidson wasn’t hounded out for his negative football. He was hounded out for being a narcissist whose stubbornness would have destroyed the club if he was allowed to continue as manager.

    Thank you.

That’s enough St Johnstone pish on here thank you. We could’ve give a f**k about your club. Only our own 👍

Whoever at Burnley who was meant to be helping him develop.

Michael O'Halloran was the same when he joined us. Must be an English league thing where they see a wide player with pace and dont bother teaching them anything.

Ahh right I thought you’d knew the coach’s with what you’d posted.

Na mate, we had already sounded out and signed a player for his position, one for the long term.

I wouldn't listen to too much of the pish ludo and Random are spouting, they clearly don't have a fucking clue what they're talking about.

    Long time no see Tam!

Sounds like a poor signing then. Think he'll be more of a squad player for us tbh. We’ve got ample cover in the meantime in both wingback areas with the players still at the club until we strengthen later in the window with either the return of Beck or a new left footed wingback.

He can only be a bigger success for us than Marcel Lewis has been!

On the plus side, Docherty's track record hasn't been too shabby so he'll either prove his worth or be nowhere near the team- like Lewis.

For a signing that'll likely cost us absolutely nothing, it's fairly low risk!

Agreed that it’s low risk. Having only seen him once and have seen how Docherty sets his teams up I’d be surprised if Lamie’s fit he doesn’t come in at centrehalf and Donnelly moves to leftback.

McCowan’s been exceptional for us this season, wonder if he gets moved to wingback until we get a more defensive minded player to play the wingback position. He could definitely play there.

He broke through at 16 or 17 in Ireland and got his move to Burnley off the back of that.

Hes been shafted by their coaches though as he genuinely has no idea what to do on the park, and his first touch is abysmal for someone at an EPL level club.

I genuinely thought he'd be back in Irish (and still do) when his Burnley contract expires.

Who’s the coach’s that shafted him. Wonder if at 16 he knew how to play anywhere on the park.

    Calm down pal.

In recent weeks, Levein opted to use a 16yo at rwb over Costelloe, and winger at striker over Costelloe. No player can be written off after 12 games on loan but the fact is that the current manager opted not to use him.

Wonder if Levein got wind of us signing him. He was involved in our scouting network apparently whilst still at Brechin.

Is it? Hes been pretty attacking with us, and we take a huge amount of risk on the ball trying to "play football" through midfield rather than hoof it.

He played LWB for us once I think, but I wouldn't say you do it often as he has no idea where hes meant to be.

Hes very much a blank canvas. Its as if nobody has ever told him what position he plays so he just shunted about everywhere and has no idea what to do anywhere. He just needs told "this is your position, work on it" by someone to stop him wasting time.

He must have idea on how to play somewhere. How can somehow who doesn’t have a clue where to play manage to become a professional player and still under a full time contract into his 20’s?

Boy’s been very, very lucky by the sound of it.
