  1. Some save, that. Brilliant delivery from Craigen. Not many left backs who can deliver a right footed cross like that.
  2. Am I imagining it, or is the camera a wee bit more zoomed in than last week? Feels claustrophobically close when the ball is on the nearside touchline. Strong start from Arbroath. Jason Thomson and James Craigen are a brilliant pair of full backs, from technical and attacking points of view. Hopefully there's defensive inexperience from Craigen that we can exploit.
  3. Good to see Musonda make the bench. Doubt he'll get many minutes today, if any at all, but his place in the defensive pecking order could have a massive bearing on our season.
  4. I'd never considered a David McGurn managed Raith Rovers before, but now I realise it's all I've ever wanted.
  5. That's the number of users who used three exclamation marks to punctuate mundane statements in the chat box.
  6. "Quick lads, better hobble this player or else we won't be able to *checks notes* get all three points in a Betfred Cup group stage game that we're already winning."
  7. Let's no' be silly now, that was an nailed on a penalty as you'll see.
  8. I think the team was picked with a stronger Hearts side in mind. Getting players closer to Manny in the second half made all the difference. A lot of positives to take from that, especially if Duku's injury isn't serious. That team will score goals in the Championship. If Musonda is better than either Davidson or Benedictus, we might even keep a couple out, too.
  9. That's an excellent goal from Craig Wighton. A sentence I didn't think I'd ever write.
  10. Serious enough that they took absolutely no chances with him. Looked like either his knee or his thigh that was giving him the issue.
  11. I hate to think how this game would've gone if the SFA didn't have it in for Hearts.
  12. Utterly delighted to see Vaughan back on the park. Going to be at least a couple of weeks before watching him running around stops being like watching a toddler play with a handgun, though.
  13. Has the standside linesman given up? Missed a ball clearly running out and then just dodged two consecutive decisions. Injury to Manny. Brilliant. Good thing we've got loads of other strikers we can rely on.
  14. Well, then. That's quite the substitution. Taking off the one centre half who isn't a bawhair away from being sent off. (Dictated by fitness, I imagine. We know Nando has had hamstring issues already this pre-season.) Manny Duku! What a finish!
  15. I haven't seen any of the replays so I'll take your word on it. I wouldn't. At no point is Bene's arm fully extended, and you'd have to be using a very generous interpretation of the evidence to say the ball hit it.
  16. Incidentally, Michael Stewart is right. I'd you're giving that, you've got to send Benedictus off. Referee making it up as he goes along.
  17. First of all, I'm not sure that's a foul. But he's definitely outside the box.
  18. Someone get Aidy White a box to stand on. Edit: And a set of clippers. It's time, Aidy, give it up.
  19. He's very lucky that Reghan Tumilty didn't react there. With this madcap refereeing who knows what the difference is between absolutely nothing and a red card. This high line looks increasingly like a mad idea. Mendy not really outpacing noted speedsters Davo and Bene.
  20. Brilliant work by Manny Duku. Wee bit more technical ability on show than we saw on Saturday. Very encouraging.
  21. I like to think this is a Paul Smith decision while McGlynn's in no position to stop him. And what a decision it is. Cannot wait to see how he gets on. And it goes without saying that seeing Vaughan's name back on a a teamsheet is just a delight. It can only really be a 5-4-1, with those players. Lot of onus on MacDonald and Tumilty to provide the width.
