  1. As suspected, that is very, very silly defending for the winner. All the number 19 (?) has to do is knock the ball away - in any direction of his choice - with his head. He's got all the time in the world. He could actually just stand stock still and the ball would almost certainly bounce clear. Attempting the overhead kick is madness. I suppose these are the kind of silly mistakes that creep in after six months or so away. For the penalty, it's less clear cut than I thought at the time, in as much as I think Manny goes down a wee bit easier than is strictly necessary. Or, to put it another way, if he'd been desperately keen to stay on his feet, he could've managed it, particularly having seen the evidence of him ragdolling a couple of defenders about at other points. That said, it's still utter stupidity from the defender. The ball's going nowhere, I have no idea what he thinks he's doing putting his arms up around Duku.
  2. Manny Duku - deadly from three yards. Never in doubt. Would need to see it again, but the decision from the defender to overhead kick the second ball clear there looks very silly indeed.
  3. Wholeheartedly agree. It's a fantastic service. From a technological standpoint it has been absolutely seamless for me this afternoon, but more than that, the quality of the output is excellent. The amount of effort that's gone into the whole operation is very apparent.
  4. Judging by the head in the hands, I don't think Duku knew he was offside there. The failure to get that on target is... not a great omen.
  5. As Hank predicted early on, after that early run the East Fife defence dropped and made sure Manny always had to run at them rather than with them. Unfortunately, the domination of our midfield in the subsequent space never materialised. Credit to the Fife midfield for that, I suppose.
  6. Armstrong's not exactly having a great afternoon. Don't think that justified a booking (especially with what's just gone before!) but he'd lost the ball there with just a daft short pass to Tumilty that was never on. Tends to be the way with Armstrong, doesn't it? Has had as many games like this as he had standout performances. I've always given him the benefit of the doubt because he's struggled to get a good run in the team. Hopefully this is just him settling back in.
  7. Jesus Christ, Davidson. Nearly killed the boy. Can't believe the referee has let that go. Deserved booking for Tait, too.
  8. Good direct running from Ethan Ross. Good hold up play a minute or so later from Manny Duku, too. If we can get those two combining...
  9. Jeezo, Manny Duku. I wondered just how quick he really is, and on that evidence - ludicrously quick.
  10. So, in which minute of the game will Scott Agnew score today then?
  11. I agree with you on that eleven. Musonda, Spencer and Ugwu will all be big shouts for a starting place, but with the injuries they've had (and still have) the starting line-up almost picks itself. And Vaughan too, of course.
  12. I suppose they might have to somewhere like Cliftonhill because... where else will you put them? But if you've got a viable alternative, it makes sense to use it. That previously linked article is interesting, if sounds like Hibs didn't even consider using the away changing room. In other, not shocking, news... Falkirk look abysmal at the back. In a stronger League One this year, I'm not convinced just having a decent frontline will be anything like enough.
  13. I'm guessing Stark's will be the same. If you can't get both teams in the tunnel at East End, there's no way they'll both get into the Main Stand in Kirkcaldy.
  14. Is there some sort of "room" in that stand behind the goal, or are Falkirk just set up in the concourse? I suppose they've maybe thrown a couple of space heaters in, but that can't be the most comfortable of set ups. Far from the only ground that'll be like this, right enough.
  15. Completing the nippy wee b*****d hat-trick with a handball in the box. Should've been a penalty.
  16. It's a brilliant cross from Morrison, really deserved a goal. I thought he'd gone too early, he had the chance to really go at the left back, but the ball in was inch perfect.
  17. £15? It's £9.99. Aye but if you pay extra you can get that feeling of smug superiority that normally comes with sitting in the Main Stand.
