  1. Does anyone have any experience with Office Angels, or similar? I applied for a job through them and I've now been "invited to register", but it's a temporary job and I was really hoping for something more permanent. Is it worth following this up and seeing where it goes, or are most people's experiences negative? Thanks.
  2. It'll be a nice change for them to do their *** hating from the beach instead of Nando's...
  3. You should be thanking the forum for saving you from looking like a mental. Two spaces!?
  4. Looking for a job is bloody depressing. I work part-time at the moment and I do have the option of going full-time where I am, but I think I'd rather cut off my own eyelids, so I'm looking for any other full time work now that I've graduated. Something office-y, nine til five, you wouldn't think it would be that difficult for someone with a degree to at least get an interview! [/complaining]
  5. Agreed. I'm not a season ticket holder, I'll more than likely be at every home game this season, and it makes perfect sense that season ticket holders get priority on tickets.
  6. Presumably it was the amount of tickets ACA actually had on them at that time, rather than the full Rovers allocation.
  7. Any idea if we can buy tickets for the Celtic game on Saturday, before we play Airdrie?
  8. Just seen a Facebook photo of the ugliest baby I've ever seen. This one looks like John Paul II as he is now.
  9. It really bothers me when somebody has a dig at a player for losing out in a footrace to an opposition player who's faster than he is. Pace is like height. There's f**k all you can do about it. Nobody shouts at a player for losing a header to a guy who's a foot taller than him. Lack of effort I can entirely understand, but when someone is clearly busting a gut and loses out because he's not quick, it boils my piss.
  10. Smith was out wide right and cut inside before crashing a shot past the keeper at his near post, for his goal against Hamilton.
  11. I hadn't heard that before, that's excellent! Worth remembering that Turnbull Hutton has a business degree from Harvard. You don't get those in boxes of Frosties.
  12. Is that definitely the deal, a straight swap of our young lad for their fella on loan? Surely it's just two deals that went through on the same day, or there are unreleased terms that redress the balance in our favour.
  13. If you've had Sky for more than 3 years it'll cost you £40. Ring 08442414141 when you get a chance. Tell them you're aware it might cost you to have an engineer sent out (and then they won't hang up on you) and they'll do what they can to sort it. If they can't, they'll book the engineer.
  14. Jason Holt is on the bench at Anfield tonight. Wonder if he saw that coming when he was farmed out to the Rovers nine months ago...
  15. I don't think he ever "sponsored" a stand. His name went up on the Railway Stand as part of some deal or another. Egotist.
  16. I think the most significant aspect of the Rovers sans-Baird is that we've now got our "number 9", Brian Graham, playing furthest forward as an out-and-out striker. John Baird, who I remain a massive fan of, covers a lot of ground during a game, and while it has its many benefits, it often means that when the ball breaks inside the box, Baird is in the midfield or down in one of the corners. He's like a one man equivalent of that Spanish formation at the Euros, when they played with a load of attacking midfielders and no "striker".
  17. It won't be Casa, or any other free agents if you believe the radio. On Open All Mics last night, Allan Preston (I think) said that he knew who it was, and he'd been speaking to "the manager who's trying to get rid of him". I can't remember if he specifically said it was an SPL manager or not. I was surprised at the negative way he phrased it, but I don't think it was necessarily deliberate.
  18. "A guarantee salary is nonexistent when you start your own business." I think Marvin Andrews might've run out of Bible quotes...
  19. I've had my new Samsung Galaxy S3 for a couple of months now, and somehow (I honestly have no idea, I just picked it up) the screen is cracked. It still works fine, but it's a pretty big fecking crack. What's the script with getting this sorted out? A quick Google suggests it might be bloody expensive, but surely it's just a case of replacing the "glass"?
  20. The Expendables 2 is the film the first one should've been. Some great lines and action.
  21. I know I'm now complaining about it here and that probably makes me just as bad, but there are three things on Twitter that are guaranteed to have me reaching for the "Unfollow" button as quickly as possible: Asking for RTs. Replying to "celebrities" with completely banal stuff like "Lol I know mate!" Mentioning how many people follow you, or anyone else. Nothing worse than "Oh, looks like another two of my followers have disappeared. Must be doing something wrong!" I'm now unfollowing on principle on that last point, regardless of who it is.
