I’m just trying to get my breathing side of things right so I wouldn’t go at a high pace. I had my second run a couple of days ago, the same distance and went a minute faster using a slightly lower pace. I’m still trying to get the smokes out my system so I would suggest 15-20 minutes or maybe a little more if you can manage.

I went for my first proper run in about 6 years this morning and by Christ I’m unfit. It ended as 2.92km in 15 minutes 20 seconds. When I was 17 I was out at least four times a week and my PB for a 10k was around the 49 minute mark. Not looking to get to that level just yet but I’ve entered the Cumbernauld 10k in September so if I can at least finish that then I’ll be happy. Time to chuck the smokes in the meantime.

Given that we basically have a weekly corner in a Sunday newspaper running the same patter every week for employing him, there’s little doubt in my mind it would be more mainstream. Not just at the start; the abuse he’ll get week in week out at grounds will keep it current. As for the price, if Goodwillie can fire us up this season then that for me is worth whatever transfer fee he would garner now. Otherwise what’s the point in having him (or any other sellable asset) if we’re going to place money over domestic success Would be a pointless existence.

Get to your GP ASAP if over the counter stuff doesn’t work. If your eyes are watering then you’ll need the eye drops - it was that bad for me that it became pretty much unprofessional trying to work whilst wiping tears from my eyes every thirty seconds.

I need the nose spray, tablets and eye drops. It works a treat though, have you seen your GP?

Lamont, Cogill and Boyle would be terrific signings although I doubt it’s possible unless Project Brave can come into it and deal with the wages side of things. Blair Currie is split in opinion from what I’ve seen - I’d be happy for him to be number one again. We got a better goalkeeper on in Kyle Gourley and he stepped up so I wouldn’t be disappointed for BC to continue in goal. Obviously McStay is a massive call and if he signs for another year it would be a magnificent piece of business. Him and Grant are far better than league two so that would be a massive coup. Hopkirk, I don’t remember him, but the signs are he’ll compliment our attack well so happy to have him on board. Rumsby, obviously Danny sees something in him so got to give him a chance to see what he can do.
