  1. From the fans with no self awareness I hope it does haunt them. Singing at the last game between us about the Loons going down now we still have a decent chance of the good playoffs while they’re still in real danger of the wrong playoffs.
  2. One bit of good news is I’m sure Nditi is half way through a two year contract.
  3. Congratulations to Stirling Albion very worthy champions. Definitely showed way more quality than any other opposition I’ve seen at Station Park this season.
  4. Brechin for me as it’s unlikely the Loons will escape League 2 this year we could at least have an Angus derby again. As for who goes, I’m not that bothered, may not be a disaster for Elgin as they’ll have far less travelling to do, Albion Rovers, it could be a disaster for them but I’m ambivalent towards them. I couldn’t care less if Bonnyrigg go back down.
  5. There are two things I’m confident of today, the sun is shining and we are not getting relegated. I’m not confident of a result today, obviously I’m hoping for one, just not confident. That said, I’ve been thinking since McKinnon came in that we’ll have one of those weeks we create a lot and for once put the majority of them away, today would be a good day for that. Apologies for droning on, obviously feeling a bit nervy….
  6. Friday evening is a crap time for a final especially if you’re travelling.
  7. Yes, the last times the Loons were in the final we were away at Alloa on a Sunday (2015), then away to Peterhead on the Saturday (2017 or 18?). As an Annan supporter you should know as you were in the playoff final last year after defeating us in the semi.
  8. Just looking back at our results and under McKinnon we are as follows: Played 18, Won 9, Drawn 6, Lost 3, Points, Points 33. Given it’s a 36 game season at that rate we’d be hypothetically finishing on 66 points, that would surely equal first or second place. Oh for having Ray in all season.
  9. Sorry about that Rovers Ben, I suspect I know exactly who was behind the sectarian comment, he’s a big Rangers fan and I’ve heard him shout a few Rangers things recently.
  10. It’s far from over, recent results show that every team is capable of beating every team (with the obvious exceptions of Dumbarton beating Forfar and Forfar struggling getting anything from Stirling and East Fife) as a Loon I’m hopeful (not confident) we’ll make it into the top four at full time on the last game and would want Stirling to be champions for two reasons, we wouldn’t fear Dumbarton in the playoffs (not saying we’d necessarily beat them but do seem to have their measure) and Stirling Albion, from what I’ve seen, are the strongest side in the division. Stirling Albion obviously have a points advantage and a game in hand but slips can happen, all to play for but league positions at the end do not lie.
  11. I wasn’t there so can’t really comment but a mate of mine was and said the Stenny groundsman said the ball was definitely over the line.
  12. Comments like this from someone who, as far as I can see, doesn’t display a “My team”. Seems to be he is in football terms like his sex life, all alone…..
  13. Easton was very frustrating in my eyes, he has an abundance of skill and flair but all he wanted to do was hold onto the ball and try and beat everyone twice, he wasn’t what you’d call a team player, I coach 11 year olds that are more mature.
  14. If he plays more than 15 minutes for Tranent then he’s doubled his playing time for the season. We were quite hopeful for him at Forfar but it was an unmitigated disaster. I wish him well though, if he can somehow avoid injury he’ll be great for you.
  15. Watching this the Dumbarton penalty looks very soft to me
  16. Not a bad thing, Sparky’s played his part in steadying the ship and performed much better than some naysayers had predicted. Not a long term solution but happy to see him stay for the rest of the campaign then see where we are.
