  1. They dont care Stanley..... A lot of this is still driven by bitterness. They are still raging at those around them that took the leap and moved on,ruining the "grade". One of the Whitburn committee men has just posted something to back up what I've just said... I am delighted that we're going senior and feel the EoS would be best suited for us but that decision will lie with the committee or the WoS/EoS..
  2. Strathspey were added purely on a geographical basis, which I can see why the HFL let them in,as it's a Highland club and they already had plenty of shire/moray clubs. IMO, BoD would have been a better shout than Formartine,no argument about Turra getting in,great set up at the Haughs. Cove rangers probably weren't wearing any idea of BOD being an HL side at the time of the last applications to join the HL !!!
  3. There is still a question mark over Fauldhouse,Stoneyburn,West Calder and Bathgate. Spoke to my contact from Harthill this morning and he said most or all of the above and Armadale where enquiring about the WoS. That may change after the news that Whitburn are heading east... As for the sunday mail patter above(yawn),I dont read it or any other paper, not interested in any drivel they have to say.... My contacts are all involved with clubs.
  4. As I said that may be changing as talks are ongoing between the WoS and EoS on boundaries. If its getting done for the West/East then it will get done at a lower level for South/North.. I do have sympathy for Tayside clubs as they hav been left out in the cold, some sections of the EoS dont want them and the same go's for some teams in the HL.... Talks are ongoing between the HL,NCL and NRJFA,niall from St.Duthus has been keeping us up to speed on Fitbanorth. Sooner or later the Tayside question will hav to be answered but it should be north, there is a boundary already there in the Tay (borderline clubs n/a).
  5. As for ATFC,I think it's a wrong move but I'm not in control at the Volly....
  6. I've been talking it up because I am in the know sweetheart......,not 2nd guessing it.... Harthill are borderline,so not a problemo, just like Luncarty. You are the one who has been advocating Tayside involvement in the EoS. The pyramid is already unbalanced as it is,without flinging Tayside clubs south and unhinging it even further.....
  7. Lol,aye probably CZ,the key word in my statement is "borderline" not miles over the border.
  8. Yeah used to look forward to watching Whitburn vs the BU's 8 mile, same buzz at the games as they were against Lithgae. May be a bit of time before we see it again but you never know a cup game may match both sides together!!
  9. As burnie says, talks are ongoing between the EoS and WoS regarding boundaries,as it is a bit unclear. For me,I have no problem with Harthill going into the WoS as they're right on the border, infact I haven't a problem with any club that's borderline going one way or the other,as happened with Luncarty. I work with and am pally with one of Harthill's committee men. To be fair to Fauldhouse and Bathgate they've been quiet on they're feelings,Bathgate hav got bigger issues!! With the obvious exception of Harthill, it seems to be Armadale Thistle that seem to be the most warm towards a move westward.....
  10. Agree Gordon,Lithgae and Whitburn games used to be brilliant, always big occasions and a real buzz about them back in the day. Yeah hope so,Central park is looking braw now, renovated shed, new changing rooms, wee seated stand, new signage, new terracing on social club side of ground. Only really needs floodlights now
  11. Absolutely delighted that my hometown club have finally took the leap.....,looking forward to attending an EoS game at Central park when we can!!! Glad it's the EoS too !!
  12. Whitburn,Pumpherston and Livingston United have all applied for the EoS
  13. A big part of the West Lothian clubs courting the WoS is because of this Tayside clubs in the EoS talk........ Yeah they dont fancy Coldstream,Hawick or Tweedmouth but that's about it,as far as the EoS is concerned, they may have once played Tayside clubs in the east juniors but they want nothing to do with them now.....
  14. Totally agree Alan,as burnie said, darker forces at work in the background. Harthill may get in and they are a borderline club which works in there favour, the other 5 or so not so sure.....
  15. My contact is involved with Harthill. Travelling is the no.1 driving force for the WoS application and yeah a trip to South Ayrshire is they're prefered furthest trip compared to the Borders. All the clubs involved (5) are in constant contact with one another,as for Bathgate Thistle, they still have other issues to sort out. It was one of Kilwinning's representatives that spoke to HRJFC about a WoS application.
  16. Personally I have no preference in what league Whitburn end up,just delighted they're finally making the move!! Traditionally it should be the EoS but if they're closest rivals are all moving to the WoS then I can see why they may go west..
  17. He's wanting someone else to run the club, the decision of EoS or WoS will ly with the new committee. West Calder talking of EoS,Fauldhouse going WoS..
  18. A wee update on the remaining West Lothian junior clubs......,apparently Stoneyburn and Armadale are joining Harthill in applying for the WoS,while Whitburn are still undecided. Bathgate are in a bad way,mr.napier wants to go but so far no one has came forward to take the reins. Livi and Pumphy heading for the EoS..
  19. Oooh, getting personal are we sweetheart No I got you alright, same as I got your millionaire pal BJ and all who follow or who support him, even though him and his pals keep shafting the vast majority of them...........
  20. Even more pish.... Justify the poll tax, justify the thousands left out of a job, justify our communities left in tatters and who are still trying to recover yrs later, due to a party who simply cannot and do not care for the ordinary man or woman in the street... So when has your political stance became so ingrained with what football team you support for so many that wear blue??? It's like a box ticking exercise for so many of the "peepull" now, anti indy...tick, right wing views....tick, anti catholic...tick,anti snp....tick, tory loving....tick, pro orange order...tick and so on..... Tick all the boxes and you can be one of the peepull.........tragic stuff but absolutely hilarious at the same time..
  21. He's not welcome anywhere near the toni mac,so scrap that idea .....
