  1. Huh, referees don't have absolute power here? I think you'll find when it comes to the decision on whether a pitch is playable or not they absolutely do.
  2. The point is the pitch was inspected to ensure it was playable on Thursday and then covered to protect it from the weather until Saturday morning - that seems like a sensible thing to do. How do you know Tannadice would be playable if Dens isn't? When was the last time a game went ahead at Tannadice but not Dens? We both know the answer to that so moving to Tannadice when Dens has been declared playable seems illogical. Of course, had the ref. declared Dens unplayable Thursday then that would have opened up a range of options but he didn't so we are where we are. Which brings me back to the question - do Dundee have the authority to overrule a Grade 1 ref and declare the pitch unplayable regardless? I doubt it.
  3. I'm going out on a limb here and suggesting that the condition of a pitch 2 days before a game is more relevant than 8+ months earlier. You didn't answer my questions.
  4. The pitch was declared playable yesterday by a Grade 1 referee. Would you suggest Dundee overrule that judgement and go ahead and make alternative arrangements. And, are you sure they have the authority to do so?
  5. Having scored a hat-trick of OG's before that, I assume?
  6. Perhaps she was making a midnight snack for young Austin to celebrate her upcoming birthday?
  7. Cash...and safety from relegation guaranteed.
  8. I'm not sure why it's artificial excitement rather than just excitement (which you yourself say it provides).
  9. I'd like to think it was no more than pure coincidence that certain photos were available that contained kids without 'complex needs' rather than it happening by design. I guess it depends on how many such kids we're talking about as that will influence judgement on how coincidental it was. The alternative is the school and or photographer are a bunch of heartless arseholes.
  10. All my years of going without plastic straws up in smoke in one delivery!
  11. That lower one would be a 10/10 if it wasn't for the Bukta badge being in grey. Still a 9/10.
  12. I have a Japanese student and she and her husband were in an adoption process. They were given a particularly difficult 5-year old boy and basically called it a day after a couple of visits. So, the likelihood of this kid getting a good match next time is probably even less now. No negative towards the couple or the kid but the system doesn't seem set up for success in many cases. That said, fair play to anyone stepping up to the plate.
  13. It's only that far out if you're heading South from Scotland to Wales - it sounds like you were going the other way (settle down Kenneth).
