  1. Interesting for me to read how many of the top 60 were from Hong Kong (i lived there for 10 years until last January) - for a 'city' of only 7 million people they have a huge number of millionaires. Anyone who wants to start a campaign to distribute the world's wealth more equally/fairly could do worse than start there. China isn't even at the races when it comes to unequal division of wealth compared to Hong Kong.
  2. I'm no economist but I'd guess that if 99% of the wealth is shared by 1% of the population then that 1% are effectively recirculating the world's cash amongst themselves.

  4. 24 rich husbands must've died last year then! As for your question...they're not in the top 1% and that's all we need to know.
  5. Would hope PH will only bring somebody in if it's going to improve the squad, otherwise agree with above. Keep the dosh for next season's squad. And we have the Spanish guy possibly coming.
  6. The back seat is further from the engine, so less heat to melt the ice compared to front seats. Much more likely explanation than the probability your gf prefers shagging in the back seat.
  7. 3 or 4 years ago they couldn't give green cards away, 'qualified' applications well below the number available.Ex- Wife got one no problem (She's Scottish) and If i'd decided to go would have been no problem. Could be different now with the economy picking up. Pissed off I didn't go now after reading last para!
  8. Every continent and country that begins with an A also ends in an A
  9. Pretty much all Americanisms... Current 'favourite' is the phrase "I don't love it"
  10. Would say working abroad is a great experience but depends 100% where. USA is so big it's not easy to generalise but my experience is it tends to be soulless. Had the chance to go but stayed in Hong Kong for various reasons. Now in the Philippines but not working. Much depends on your plans with gf also. On balance, why not give it a go...you can always come back. Unless they shoot you but that's unlikely!
  11. Hope they also mentioned Celtic haven't won a game since beating the bottom team.
  12. In the mood now... 1- People who don't think a queue applies to them. Was in tax office yesterday, got ticket and waited my turn. The number of people who interrupted the 1 staff dealing with queries- unbelievable. 2- Shop staff chatting when a long line of customers waiting at cash desk. I kid you not, was in department store last week, long line waiting to pay. Yet there were 4 or 5 groups of staff dotted around the store chatting. Some even 'hiding' behind displays playing on phones. Livid! What joys will today bring? Moany faced auld duffers thread for this pish?
  13. The world is a truly fucked place if women seriously consider this type of surgery. Beyond belief that anyone would care what their pussy looked like. Airheads IMO.
  14. Had the same problem for 8 years! Eventually moved to both eyes...needed injections and pills to stop. So bad it kept me off my sleep, which of course made the problem worse. Only stopped about 2-3 weeks ago...fingers crossed.
  15. Australians. Been in Asia past 11 years do met a fair few other British, Americans and Australians. Must say, most of the English are ok...except when it comes to their international team. Still, gives ample opportunity to take the pee every 2 years! Americans in Asia tend to be pretty well educated and are also ok - most can laugh at the sheer madness of their own country. Sometimes the women can be a little "off." Now Australians. I swear every one of them must be working for their tourist board. Without fail, they will tell anyone and everyone how feckin' great Australia is, how we'd love it, how we gotta go etc. Strange thing is, if it is so great, why don't they live their? Someone once described Australians as a nation of people on their way back home. Agree with this. They tend to he shitebags too as an aside. Just my opinion.
  16. Father O'Reilly gets sent out to his first Parish after being ordained. First night he decides to pop into the centre to check things out. Almost immediately he hears a whisper "Blowjob only 20 quid." Being a priest and young and very naive, the young priest rushes ahead. Almost immediately same thing "Blowjob - 20 quid." Now feeling extremely embarrassed, the young priest decides to go back to the church. Next night, feeling brave, he goes out into the centre again- same thing. Off back he goes. He repeats this every night until Saturday, and decides to talk to Mother Superior about what's been happening. Betroot red, he says he has something delicate to ask her. Go on, ho on, she urges. Plucking up courage, he stutters "What's a blowjob Mother Superior?" Unbuttoning her habit, she replies "20 quid Father, just the same as you'll pay in the city!"
  17. The 'Dead Donkey' raffle scam.
  18. Mr X is pretty much spot on there, as far as my understanding of Employment Law goes. For information, an employer must be seen to be acting reasonably in making such changes and, if there is a business need, then it's possible to change working hours (even for long-standing employees) providing consultation takes place and due notice given - up to 12 weeks. The only slight change I'd make to Mr X's answer is that the employee could also claim summary dismissal if they felt the change was significantly unreasonable.
  19. I'm pretty sure the club would be aware of the rules...????...possibly the definition of eligible is the question? He was eligible to play subject to international clearance - not suspended or cup-tied. It would seem wrong to stop a guy playing through an administrative matter that was cleared up by the time the game was played. Then again, this is Scottish football!
  20. 2/10 for the Aus quiz...ah well, leaves plenty scope for improvement rest of the week... P.S. forgot to say, knew 1, guessed 9 - badly!
  21. Absolute pish...we are getting healthier and medicine is improving as we speak yet alcohol tolerance is dropping...beggars belief! I'm on 4-5 bottles a day Mon-Fri and 7-8 on Saturday so, basically I shouldn't even be typing this post 'cos I'm dead!!! And on the positive side it's San Mig Light - 100 calories a pop- so my coffin will be positively lightweight when i do pop off. Anyhow, just realised that the limit is in the UK...I'm living (or should i say dying) in the Philippines so I'm not covered...cheers!
