I think that is a very valid point Fraser , we seem to come across as a very friendly club off the field and many players have mentioned that in the past , we have 5 players this season who have moved into rented accommodation and the only contact they have with any other player is the on field training sessions and then home to empty houses , must be tough for them ( along with any other teams who have players in similar position )

Good post , also take into account that under McCalls 34 games we had a settled team who had played together for a good majority of those game , where as Kerr has mainly had to gel a practically new team in around half of his reign , yes we have not performed to our capabilities at the start of season but can see some green shoots beginning to come through , if you look throughout the league with the exception of Hearts and Raith Rovers I think most teams have underperformed at various times so far

I tend to disagree with you on this point , a number of players along with McCall mentioned numerous times last season that the fans drove them on to win tight games , yes it’s the same for all teams but some fans give more vocal and encouragement support more than others , so who’s to say we would not be in a better position

No , the fans would not have transformed them into better players , Kerr gave them their chance and after failing to perform on a regular basis he took them out the team , good management there , gave them their chance and react accordingly

Who’s to say how games would have gone with a crowd in the stadium ! I think along with a large majority of fans I have spoken to that results for most teams would be different if they had fans there cheering them on ,

I would be astounded if Kerr is not Ayr United manager next season , he needs a chance to show what he can do with no Covid restrictions

You are totally correct in your assumption, at the time it was thought like you say he would get very little playing time due to the 3 players you mentioned and he would be better playing with Ipswich U21/23 side , I remember at the time Kerr saying that he showed up very well in training but that position was not one we were concerned about at that time

Covid testing completed by Ipswich weekly so believe he is up to date

They replaced Ross Stewart before he left That’s the reason they signed Jordon White from Motherwell on loan , I would be astonished if he went to Ross County

I would say just speculation on here , there is no talk at Ayr of him moving, if he had not scored 2 goals yesterday you can guarantee that any talk of him moving would never have been mentioned on here
