It’s not that cheap for a 3G pitch booking in Ayrshire , we can book a grass pitch for around £25 per game , when we ( not Ayr United) then go to 3G it’s £75 ( that’s concession price full price is £100) for a school pitch as you need 2 hrs and if we use Cambusdoon we pay £81 , that’s for adults cheaper for kids

What about the all playing staff must be Covid tested to allow games to take place , how could any team with such short notice get tests completed sent away and results returned , I get Covid tested every Tuesday at work and don’t get results to at least Thursday/ Friday

Not humanly possible , no games to be played until new guidelines are met which entails all players and back room staff being tested , clubs only made aware at 11am yesterday, so no possibility of getting results back today ,

More likely be Wednesday/Thursday ,that’s when we completed them up until it was no longer required

I may have picked this up wrong but I thought all clubs were giving money at start of season from the Hearts beneficiary, was that not meant to contribute towards carrying out Covid tests ? If clubs spend that money on other things then they should not be complaining too much about now having to fork out for tests

Very strong argument for non tested leagues to either test or take a break , I think government will ask the football authorities to seriously consider a break very soon
