Jamieson and Buchanan look like a great pairing and we now have a decent keeper. Re the comments about Wedderburn, I felt that hardly anything went through him and as a result we moved the ball a lot quicker than we did last year.
Referee was a complete joke and some of the Forfar comments about us diving are a bit much considering the amount of holding and pushing the incompetent ref let you away with. In all it was a good competitive much and these are the talking points that make the game interesting.

I find the idea of tipping mad, especially when they are carrying out the most basic function of the job they are paid to do. In the last year I've had one takeaway delivered and have not been in a pub where the wait to be served has been over a minute so not even like I can use it to my advantage to 'queue jump'.
Not long back from USA cruise where everyone and their uncle wanted a tip. Took my cases to a porter with a trolley, he took them from me and placed them on the trolley then asked for a $5 tip. Needless to say he got F**k all. Bar staff on the ship were great and were rewarded several times.

Scottish Passports and Citizenship - yeah really important when the country is struggling. Pity nothing about how to sort out NHS problems, eliminate the need for food banks, solve the high drugs death rates or any of the other important issues we face.
Still in cloud cuckoo land.

The threshold to get someone remanded is massive now unfortunately thanks to the guidance issued via CJ reforms. It used to be that someone who for example abuses their partner, assaults them, they’d be kept in police cells to appear at court the next day, but now the instruction is that this must only happen in minimal circumstances, a presumption of them being released. That half a day was a great buffer to get support services like rape crisis, womens aid, social work hermat gryffe etc involved to help that person escape the abuser, that window provided a very safe period for the person.
Aware of how difficult it is nowadays. Old enough to remember utilising Sec 2 Crim Just (scot) act 1980 on many an occasion. In a lot of incidents it gave valuable time to involve other agencies or give the victim time to seek other help/assistance. Changed days and it appears not for the better.

The under 25 thing and the loopholes in the snp’s criminal justice reforms are genuinely one of the worst things to have happened to the criminal justice system in recent times, hopefully with a crime as heinous as this the punishment is befitting, the fact he went to trial will count against him at least.
The person who raped Amber was on bail for commiting a rape a few weeks previously. Had he been remanded then she would not have been raped. Another life ruined for the good of the accused.

An appalling crime but let's see how the under 25 scenario plays out.
Given the circumstances of what happened to Amber our society is truly f***ed

your way off with this. every interview naysmith says hes wanting to bring 2 or 3 in so the money is there. the interview after saturday he said he doesnt want to bring just anybody in. as neily said, i hear a deal has been done on the costs of the trip any way
Not way off - now appreciate that the trip is sorted and financed but if we had been paying the money for it ourselves that could have been used for a higher caliber player.

I'm also going to assume we're working on a smaller budget compared with last season.
While the trip to Jersey may be good for team building I cannot understand why , when the squad is so small and lacking in areas, that the money being spent on this trip may have been better utilised in strengthening the squad.
At the moment a couple of injuries and a suspension never mind someone under performing will leave us badly exposed. Hopefully there will be some quality added before the opening fixture.
Had high hopes for this season, can only hope they are not going to be dashed again.

Missed it as well due to medical issue - gutted. Were we really good or were they rank rotten?

B & M although they state that this is time limited on match days. Asda is probably best bet just a couple of minutes from the ground

The big question is will be playing this as a friendly style match or being competitive? There has been a tendency to use these games as final preparations for the league. Can feel a bit of a rip off to pay good money for what in effect could be a training style match.

The wife's car was booked in for its MOT today. Took the car down and the garage is closed for the day due to a funeral. I'll phone tomorrow to rearrange.
So, quick question - if the garage cannot take the wife's car this week, is there another garage in the Falkirk area anyone would recommend?
Muirhall Motors - Muirhall Rd Larbert. Have used them for years and they are reliable and honest.

Sounds like Useless is thinking of booting Fergus Ewing for voting against her

Shouldn't it be the dozy bint who made a complete arse cake of the policy who suffers the consequences for it, or is that just me?
Obviously shows that Harvie is Useless's puppeteer. Thinking about ditching one of your own, who had the common sense and credibility to see that Slater is absolutely useless and voted against her, is absolutely unbelievable but again shows that the SNP are merely sheep without a mind of their own and can only play follow the leader.

Update for anyone's future reference
Put claim into BA and sent off all the receipts, reply came back asking if I was claiming off my insurance. I told them no and they agreed to pay back £430 which arrived in my account today. Totally surprised they paid so much.

Slater survives vote of no confidence.

Didn't really pay much attention to them but I am sure the away strip is white.

The new strips were shown at the recent meeting re the B teams. Do not think there will be a fan vote.

From what I can remember on the talk at Stenhousemuir about the proposal I am sure that it was mentioned that a Company had been set up for the Conference League proposal and that certainly Doncaster was on the board and possibly Maxwell as well. Whole thing stunk.

Years ago someone informed me that he was nightshift and could not sleep during the day because his neighbours dogs barked constantly when left alone. I advised him to pet the dogs and give them some laxative chocolate. Neighbour comes home and finds his house covered in shite. Soon got rid of the dogs.

Haven't seen the fixtures but would quite like a wee trip to McDiarmid Park, never been before.
Were you too young to have been there on 5/11/95?

Stenhousemuir -vs- Stranraer (Saturday 16 September 2023)

Great performance and good atmosphere.
Great to see the club trying to attract younger fans by issuing free season tickets, however they need an area of their own, or put then in the terracing. Before kick off they were all over the place climbing on seats and basically sitting where they wanted. Petty yes but annoying. In a similar vein we should have a sign up directing away supporters to the other end of the stand as again they just sit where they want ignoring season ticket holders seats.
