Highlights - the standard of our defending is abysmal. Have yet to see how Tena and Neill are better than the centre backs we released. In the past few games they have been badly out of position and failed to get in front of their attackers. Can only improve or we are in the mire.

Thought we were lagging badly behind other teams but that brings things into perspectave.

Still no signing news but he hopes to have a couple of players in place for the Partick game next Saturday - seriously a week to go and we only have a squad of 14 players which includes 2 keepers and 3 defenders. Pre season plans going really well then.

Bomber saying in the Falkirk Herald he is looking at 3 more signings. Experienced centre half (any rumours?), a striker and one other. I presume / hope this is in addition to the 2 loanees, whoever they may be.
The sound of silence is deafening. A week to go till our opening friendly and a bare squad. Surely there will be announcements tomorrow,

"Interesting tannoy announcement, after reading the teams out, the man on the mic said “If you think Stenhousemuir can kick Real Kashmir’s ass, give me a hell yeah!” There were no replies. "
Please not another season of this nonsense.

Briefly raised at Stenhousemuir AGM last night. Proposal very sketchy at the moment with little detail regarding payments etc.The initial proposition was all teams could submit a Colts team but the powers that be unsurprisingly had no answer of where a second division colt team would play if promoted from the lower league. Obviously they do not anticipate anyone other than the bigot brothers competing. There had also been some talk of introducing a Div 3 for the unlucky replaced teams to play in! Someone also asked why would you vote for something where you could be the replaced team and lose your status which is a fair point. Board asked who was in favour of it and were met with no-one for the idea. Hope they take that on board.
At the moment it all appears very vague which in all probability means that the powers that be will try and force it through.

Opinions differ about Gilhaney - basically failed to live up to his potential. I felt he was lucky to get a second season, missing from the team for almost all of the first 3 months of this year. McCormick no real surprises there. Let's not dwell on the past or past it but look to the future.
McGuigan hopefully is one of many on his way in. Will be interesting to see who, having been offered terms, stays.

Was considering buying a season ticket this year but I think I will opt for Sky Sports subscription instead - they seem to care more about people. Cannot believe with just over two weeks of the season to go the fans are being given no information at all about signings or season ticket details. The site is being updated but the important things do not seem to matter. If that is how they intent treating the fans then I for one will vote with my feet

Noticed we have a pre season game against Ayr on the 2nd of July
Where did you see that about? Only update on our site is the announcement that the league fixtures will be out today. We are still showing last season's squad as well.

Berry and Kieran Miller would be a good hardy pair in the centre of the park. Greg Fleming's brother has expressed an interest at coming to the club. Don't know if Bomber will fancy him or not. May depend on the loan agreement with Celtic re McCabe.

Could be tempted but not seen them since the 80's. Do they still play some good old space rock?
Xmas show in london was a classic and included Utopia, Motorway City, Assassins, Born To Go, Masters of the Universe and Lord of Light.
Go to You Tube and have a search.

Hawkwind at ABC on 15th April in support of their new album " The Machine has Stopped". If it is anything like the Xmas gig in london it will be a stonker.

Did Bomber not say he was going to be more open with information and I thought arrangements were getting put in place for the information to come from the club through yourself for distribution?

What's happening with Jon mcshane?
He apparently has left the club and is going to be going to Australia. Once again the supporters have been left in the dark by the club. There has been no news about Smith and Sumners either which is not surprising but hey we have been informed about buying shares, callendars and other merchandise for Xmas on several occasions.

I've seen return flights to Kansai from Edinburgh KLM as low as about £495. It's a quicker route than Turkish and leaves in the morning coming back and arrives same day, Turkish leaves late at night and arrives around midday next day. KLM will also soon be operating 787s to Japan, previously it was fairly antique 747s.
Went with KLM last year and their service was crap. Drink choice was whisky, vodka, wine or beer and in flight entertainment was really poor. If these do not matter too much and they are cheap enough why not?

Top man! I saw them a few times in the early 80's....once with Ginger Baker on drums!!
It was 35 years ago last week that they played Scotland with Baker on the Levitation tour. Great drummer but a C*** of a man.

Heading down to London on Sunday to catch Hawkwind in concert - will be about 70 times I have seen them now.

First side of Misplaced Childhood is a triumph.
Personally I much prefer the second side especially Blind Curve. Also a big fan of Grendel and 3 Boats Down From the Candy.

Can't help wondering that if there is insufficient evience for a criminal case will the females involved consider a private prosecution.? (lower degree of evidence reuired in civil case) If so wonder what would be said if they saught crowd funding to help them fund their legal teams.
