This sounds promising, have many of the issues you do. Do you have the link to purchase one of these (exact model)? 23 quid is a fucking bargain if it works?

Edit. Found one and bought it...

    Post the link please

An inversion table or just they clip on moon boot things?

I've always had thoughts of getting a table but sceptical if it'll actually be worth it.

The layout of my stairs means that I can grab the upper floor then move down a couple of steps causing me to "hang". Basically the weight of your legs hanging stretches your back. In my case cheap but effective.

  3. Had a bad back for over 40 years and have learned to live with it.  Used to take painkillers but when on them could do anything but worried about what damage I was causing.  Stopped taking them and if you moved a certain way and got pain your did not do that again.

Moderate exercise and hanging down stretches it. Swimming is also good for relieving the pain as the water takes the body's weight.

My lease is ending on my Mazda 2 and it is time to upgrade to fit the family in it. I'm hopefully going to look at Kia Sportage and a Volvo XC40 in the next couple weeks. Any opinions? My knowledge of cars is basically the colour. 😂

Leased an XC40 in December and can honestly say it is the best car I have had. Plenty of room for the grandweans, plenty of space in the hatch and a comfy drive.  Had to wait 5 months for delivery but John Clark in Edinburgh were great to deal with.

  5. Started of with a secondhand Nikon Nikkormat FT3 and then progressed through the Canon range - A1, T90, EOS 10, EOS 450d and finally bought my current 7D when I was in Japan at a huge saving.  I used to have a full range of lenses as well. My EOS 10 and lenses got stolen and I was pissed off and stopped for a while and used a compact but the bug then returned and I bought the 450 before upgrading to the 7D.

As I mainly use the camera when on holiday, along with a camcorder,  I currently only use a Tamron 16-300 for its compact size and versatility. Not the best of lenses but it serves its purpose. Have thought about investing in decent lenses a few times but  find it hard to justify them given that I do not use the camera as much as I should and also the limitations of their size when traveling.

  6. And the saga continues with another email received showing that again they have changed the time of the flights. I know we are in difficult times but someone within the organization either does not have a clue or is taking the piss.

Let me ask you this Tynie, i think you seem to share my own views that the Scottish Government have made a c**t of this, see in May next year, could you honestly bring yourself to vote for the SNP?

This crisis has given Sturgeon the chance to run her "Nanny State" but there are lots of questions will be asked after this is done and dusted.

We have a Health Minister that is incapable of answering a direct question and is always keen to defer them until she gets her lackies to provide an answer for her.

We constantly heard that there were difficulties with bed blocking in hospitals but along comes this virus and they can miraculously empty the beds, but let's not test anyone or isolate them before placing them in homes. Look at the number of deaths this has caused.

The lack of PPE is/was inexcusable.

The PPE that arrived at Prestwick but could not be distributed because there were no labels on the boxes. Surely someone could have opened them and marked what was inside them.

Initially failing to sack Calderwood and then having to get her to resign when public opinion went against them.

Testing is another joke - promises that care home staff etc would be tested on a regular basis has just not happened and testing is no where near reaching the alleged capacity they have.

This has been the perfect solution to their failing school policies and they will use the virus as an excuse whenever criticised.

Exactly the same with the pie in the sky 1140 hours for nurseries. Again it was unlikely to be met but they have the perfect excuse again.

The lack of action against Derek Mackay.

Salmond has still to have his say.

Not including the long running issues with Trans identification, and the hospital issues QEUH and the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.

And the sad thing is come election time they will sail through again because there is no viable alternative.

I'm not opposed to two-year contracts but Kieron Gibbon's was with us on a two-year deal and he was rubbish.

This is the gamble that you have to take. I understand why we have 1 year contracts but it does little for the continuity of the team.  I think the reason we have offered a few players 2 year contracts is the fact the forthcoming season is a great unknown. When will it start when will it finish?  We need to do enough to stay up this year and then really concentrate on the following season.

Not a lover of Munro, although you cannot fault his commitment,  and it will be interesting to see who plays next to him,  but what we have signed so far looks a decent base to build on.

Why are we all obsessed with splits? Most leagues in Europe dont and they are happy enough without having constant tedious reconstruction talks.

16 team leagues 30 games. No meaningless games as playoff fixtures for European/promotion/relegation places.

Make up the shortfall in league games with champions league style Scottish Cup. Another guaranteed 6 games.

No old firm 4 games but tough titties!

If that is the problem have a Sky Bigot Cup involving both cheeks over 2 legs and then you have your 4 games that all Britain is desperate to see.

  10. Having submitted a request for a refund and made alternative arrangements I received an email from them yesterday stating that they had changed my flight yet again. This time back to the original flight!!! Unbelievable. At the moment it looks like a sum of money will have to be written off.

  11. While being furloughed also received a letter regarding annual leave;

"....... is exercising it's right to require employees to take annual leave at a time it decides. subject to the appropriate statutory notice. This notice period is twice the length of the annual leave being imposed.  As such, we will require you to take a minimum of 75% of your annual leave entitlement by 31st August and during this holiday period you will receive your full contractual pay."

Probably does not affect many people as the majority take their annual leave in the summer anyway.

  12. Currently closed, will speak to them tomorrow and see how it goes  Will go down the line of had a contact for that particular flight and they have breached it.  At the end of the day had expected to forfeit this money due to holiday being cancelled although this flight was not included in the holiday.
