Recently? I was told this by a guy who had seen a letter from the hospital sent to an employee last week. Said employee was in the administration side, perhaps it didnt go to patient facing staff.

It doesnt seem to have gone to other NHS facilities in the area, or at least not to the wifes one.

Yesterday the Grandson's nursery had a case of covid and she was told that she would have to isolate for 14days. No issue with her ward but fortunately the isolation was later rescinded but cannot remember which dept rescinded it.

Dont know of this is Forth Valley hospital specific, but apparently their staff have been told even if a member of their household tests positive, they should still come to work until they develop symptoms

Not the case. Daughter has had to isolate a couple of times because someone close to her has had symptoms.

I still think of myself as how I did when I was in my early 20s. I dont feel old. I still feel like a daft laddie who is mixing in the adult world and doing adult things.

I have a pal who is now 60 and he says that never goes away.

Exactly the same and some of my friends agree with this. Only issue is brain thinks it is in it's 20's but body firmly reports it's in the 60's and that is a pure b*****d.

IIRC they don't smoke the lobster meat as such, but smoke the shells separately then allow it to infuse from there.

    Fucking tremendous whatever they do

The lobster shells are smoked for 17 or 19 minutes then the meat is put in to infuse. Absolutely standout dish.

  5. Was at the Andrew Fairlie in Gleneagles and had the Degustation menu - absolutely outstanding. Pricey but for a special occasion and given the current situation only the second meal out we have had in 6 months.

  6. Really nice looking house but you talk about your neighbours and privacy and with the amount of glass that is in that house you would have to be careful where you built it. Getting an isolated plot of land would be ideal but whoever sold you the land may suddenly see a goldmine and sell other plots close to you.  I presume as well that the glass is well insulated or you could have horrendous heating bills in a bad winter.

Any sign of SNP’s Mr Mackay yet? Has there ever been a bigger example of cowardice in Scottish politics than this?

Still managing to claim his expenses for accommodation in Edinburgh.  Allegedly claimed over £300 for 10 days when Parliament was only open 1 day.

However as a current MSP he is entitled to claim an "Edinburgh accommodation provision" and there is nothing to say he must attend parliament to claim it.

Is he holding constituency meetings or is he still shunning them?

Looks like they are counting Xmas Day and New Years Day as part of your 30 Day entitlement

Finish 18th and they are saying back on 4th january

Looks like they are counting Xmas Day and New Years Day as part of your 30 Day entitlement. Throw in a couple of sickies if you feel grieved.

    Question for people on here

I get 30 days holiday a year. This includes may day plus september weekend and then a two week close at christmas. This year boxing day falls on a saturday so i asked the question about getting an equivalent day back and was told that this is irrelevant due to the way we close down.

    Is that correct?

Depends when you close and start back. You should have 10 working day as holidays if you work Mon - Fri. Count them and you will be able to check.

Clubs would struggle if distanced fans are allowed back. In Scotland at least, clubs have sold pretty normal levels of season tickets and not many will be able to take PATG on top of that number.

By the time you take into account all the admin work, organisation and then additional matchday costs in terms of raw cash flow, you’d probably be struggling to bring in any extra income. If hospitality bars and catering could open, you might just about manage, but the knockout blow could be if the SPFL prevents selling a live stream in the UK since there’s fans in the stadium.

Not all clubs are the same either, so you could have say Queen’s Park or Airdrie with capacities far too big for them happy to let anyone in, but Dumbarton or East Fife really struggling to accommodate even distanced ST holders. Common sense solution to me would be a ST only crowd regardless of capacity, live stream available for those who don’t.

Not that any of this is happening this season.

As a season ticket holder I would be more than happy to pay another £5 or so towards the costs if allowed back.  However that is not going to happen with Sturgeon and I hope she thinks she can ride the storm and backlash if and when clubs start to go down the toilet. Absolutely crazy we can go to the pubs and mingle in the street afterwards but not have limited numbers at the football especially in League 2.

  11. In the build up to a major terrorist trial a number of years ago myself and a colleague walked into the designated prison area with the component parts of a gun secreted about us. We were searched and scanned and permitted entry.  There was much embarrassment when we went into a room and assembled the gun and caller the searching officers in.

They’re decommissioning the SEC hospital. Clearly the “second wave” can’t be worrying them too much then

Worth every penny it cost. Why on earth were the covid patients not sent there and the hospitals utilised for routines procedures.

Heard a figure of £67 million to build, run it and decommission it - surely that cannot be right. Due to close April next year I think.

  13. Apparently 1 of the arresting officers was a Special Constable.  Will depend who searched him and where the gun was concealed but after finding the ammo I would have thought they would have carried out a more thorough search in the van. I would, however, imagine that 2 officers have a huge guilt complex at the moment which will probably never go away.

  14. Christophe has hit the nail on the head.

After it failed to show on our site it took a bit of time to find out where it was being shown and to be frank it was a waste of time.  The camera failing to follow the ball, no close ups of incidents and I fear the judder may be caused by the wind and if that is the case wait until the wind is really blowing.

If that is the best we are going to get then so be it but I cannot see many people paying good money for such poor quality. I was of the opinion that someone was operating the camera and did not realise that it was AI.  As Christophe says a man with a camera has to be a better option.

  15. I have stuck by the rules for the previous 6 months during which time I have rarely seen friends, relatives and grand kids. I have been furloughed during this time and expect to lose my job next month.  I do not drink in pubs and have 5 couples who are close friends who we see at each others homes but only as 2 couples. We have only just started meeting up in the past month.

As far as I am concerned we pose less risk that going to the pub for a drink. I can see the problem with big house gatherings but surely 2 couples together does not pose a problem.

Really interested in what comes out today. Can see problems with people adhering to the rules if they are too drastic and widespread though.  Had they been more stricter with those breaching the rules earlier we may not have been in the current situation.

  16. 5th November this year is the 25th anniversary of our Challenge Cup victory.  I know we had a 10 year celebration in the Dobbie Hall but wonder if the club had anything planned for this year but if so it will probably be curtailed by the virus.  Instead they may wish to consider bringing out a DVD of the game or some commemorative  shirts or the like.

Anyone got any knowledge of what may be in the pipeline?

Advice needed please. Getting a new camera, budget of £340 (broke my Sony, got insurance pay out).  Been looking at the can eos4000d. Any good??

Have you considered secondhand?  Some decent buys to be had on Ebay, etc if you do your research and are happy to take a chance.
