Come on our second goal was a thing of beauty. The overhead flick from Strain followed by neat one 2 play was a joy to watch. Yes your defending was poor but that was a good goal.
I wish you a good season but you offer very little up top.
I’ll watch it back on the highlights and my mind might change… just a bit deflated after that performance
Offered little up top because of the gulf in class between the two sides today. Think against similar opposition in the league we’ll do just fine this season.

He's already played a game before the club have let us know.
Aye I seen he played today & also played last Saturday before we signed him on Tuesday as well.
Utterly bizzare to even sign him, waste of a wage.0 -

Not being disrespectful here but to be calling one of your goals a thing of beauty is bonkers. We absolutely gifted you all 4 goals today by defending absolutely atrociously. Had our defender just hoofed it up the park instead of trying stupid Tika Taka nonsense in the our own half under pressure the chance would never have materialised.
Yes you dominated the game & rightly so given the gap between the two clubs.
on to the positivesFirst visit to the ground & it’s a decent wee stadium & the pitch looked absolutely perfect, credit to the groundsman.
Was impressed with Strain, & Mandron. Mandron just kept finding space wherever he went, we struggled to keep him under control at all. Keep him fit & supply him with chances I think he’ll be a massive asset for this season.1 -

I'll be honest despite how bad we were today I'm not sure it'll actually affect our confidence too much given how good we had been before 3pm today.
Must admit I actually agree, the leagues our bread & butter. If we got anything more than group stages then fantastic.
the squad are miles ahead of where we were this time last season under Irvine in my opinion. There’s a real togetherness with the squad, they look like they actually care. Today against a premier league side that finished in the top half last season was always gonna be difficult, maybe the occasion got the better of some of the lads.
theres a massive connection this season with the fans as well which is always good to see, they appreciated the backing from the fans today & we responded in turn.

I imagine Ray will be giving them a bollocking in the changing rooms, we’ve clearly got a game plan but they haven’t followed it all. Too many individual errors & sloppiness. The Viaplay run was fun while it lasted.
We all knew how difficult this game was going to be given the quality of the opponents.
I just hope this result doesn’t dent the boys confidence going into the first league game next Saturday.0 -

They two goals to concede were absolutely shocking. So poor defending. Regardless the opposition.

Who's off to Paisley today?
Making the trip full of optimism.
So it will be a thrashing & put out the cup.followed by a 5 game winless run in the league to start our downfall.

Remember this time last year when we played the most turgid shit ever? A pleasing change.
I’ll admit, I was against signing Skelly and keeping Moore but they were fantastic tonight. Moore looks a totally different player at LWB.
Nditi was also great and I don’t get why some people don’t rate him.
Moore has come on leaps & bounds this season a total different player from last season already.
Nditi I’m a bit critical at times of however in the past 2 games he’s been excellent. I just think he’s a bit too rash & bashful at times, but you’ll always get that at this level.

Fantastic performance against a wounded Arbroath side, but you can only play what’s infront of you.
Every player gave their all & actually look like they care this season. Looks like a very good close knit squad & there seems to be a real togetherness which is fantastic.

Is that the sumo number 4?
Number 4’s Aidan Quinn, he looked honking.

There wasn’t a single good performance by any player on either team. To claim Forfar schooled Montrose is some stretch. They were slightly less honking is a more accurate description of the game.
Bloody hell, someone’s on the bitter the night.

First half was good, should of scored two or three. Second half not so much. Marc made a couple of decent saves in both half’s to keep the score down.
Failure to put the ball in the back of the net is going to come around and bite us in the behind in the league. Need to be more clinical in the final third.
I’ve been quite impressed with Inglis & Morrison since they’ve signed for us. Moore also has been quietly impressive, much improved from last season. Nditi worries me a lot defensively, he’s far too rash & impulsive at times allowing the opposition to get in behind him, gets caught out of position too much for my liking.
Thommo again very threatening, but just lacking the final pass at times. Thought Seb Ross had a very good game today & deserved a goal but it wasn’t to be.Need another option up top, Skelly ran his socks off but looked absolutely knackered with about 10 minutes to go.

Decent work out today, thought the trialists Blacklock and Mahady looked decent when they came on but not sure if they should be kept or not. No Whyte, Hutchinson or Thomson today so hopefully they were just unavailable instead of injured.
Whyte has a minor injury apparently.
Thomson’s on holiday.
Unsure about Hutchinson & Munro but I’m sure they were in the stands today though.

Not disputing that fact, should have scored another 2 in the second half at least as well. That free header that went well wide was an absolute sitter.
