  1. Don’t think we even had a shot on target at bonnyrigg in the first game of the season, so anything more than that would be a welcomed
  2. Just remembered Nditi’s suspended, so be interesting to see who plays at RWB
  3. Thought Bobby Dailly was alright in a couple of games, but yeah was never good enough.
  4. Going into this one very optimistic. absolutely hate when we play Stenny, it’s always a close game. be interesting to see how we line up. I imagine it will be the same starting 11 that faced St Mirren, if Moore’s still sidelined. would of liked to be going into tomorrow with another signing or two though.
  5. Bonnyrigg Rose 0-2 Dumbarton East Fife 2-1 Peterhead Elgin City 0-0 Stranraer Stenhousemuir 1-3 Forfar Athletic The Spartans 2-0 Clyde
  6. I wouldn’t look much into that if you’re basing that on yesterdays game, our defence is very small, don’t think any of them are over 6ft. The only one above 6ft is our keeper.
  7. I think the diagonal balls in behind our full backs were the absolute killers yesterday, we just couldn’t deal with it at all within the first 10 mins. I think your players realised that so tried it all the time & the majority of the time it worked. Just sometimes didn’t work because of how wet the surface was given all the rain in the first half.
  8. Now that the league cups over & done with. Got through it without any injuries & got some decent performances to go along with it, it’s time to look ahead to the proper fitba. It’ll be interesting to see how Ray sets us up for the league, We played 4 at the back against Cowdenbeath and 5 at the back the other 3 games. So interesting to see if he’s gonna stick with the 5 against teams in the league. I think personally we’re still 3 or 4 players short of what we need to actually put a proper stamp down as being title chasers. We have a very good 11 but I’m not too convinced the bench has enough quality to help or support when we do have injuries. the positions I feel we need to strengthen in (which will probably be loan deals) are Either sided Full Back - Nditi is prone to picking up a suspension through the totting up system. Brindley is hit & miss, needs more competition for his place. Left Winger & Right Winger - Thommo is fantastic but lacks in the final third, always seems to take the wrong option but should always be starting for me. Watson’s not good enough in my opinion, he’s too lightweight & gets easily bullied off the ball. Ross just isn’t a winger for me, he seems to struggle & rarely beats his man when on the wings. Striker -We need a subby striker to support Skelly. Skelly’s gonna run out of steam playing constantly every week, every game he’s been involved in he’s been subbed off & the replacement hasn’t done anywhere near as much work as Skelly has. If we can get a similar player with the same work rate that would be perfect.
  9. Okay I’ve changed my mind I have watched it back. The second goal was decent… it wasn’t the chance that I thought . (Give me a break there was that many we gifted you)
  10. Utterly bizzare, I just don’t understand. Did wonder why he wasn’t on the team line up today.
  11. Not disputing that fact, should have scored another 2 in the second half at least as well. That free header that went well wide was an absolute sitter.
  12. I’ll watch it back on the highlights and my mind might change… just a bit deflated after that performance Offered little up top because of the gulf in class between the two sides today. Think against similar opposition in the league we’ll do just fine this season.
  13. Aye I seen he played today & also played last Saturday before we signed him on Tuesday as well. Utterly bizzare to even sign him, waste of a wage.
  14. Not being disrespectful here but to be calling one of your goals a thing of beauty is bonkers. We absolutely gifted you all 4 goals today by defending absolutely atrociously. Had our defender just hoofed it up the park instead of trying stupid Tika Taka nonsense in the our own half under pressure the chance would never have materialised. Yes you dominated the game & rightly so given the gap between the two clubs. on to the positives First visit to the ground & it’s a decent wee stadium & the pitch looked absolutely perfect, credit to the groundsman. Was impressed with Strain, & Mandron. Mandron just kept finding space wherever he went, we struggled to keep him under control at all. Keep him fit & supply him with chances I think he’ll be a massive asset for this season.
  15. Must admit I actually agree, the leagues our bread & butter. If we got anything more than group stages then fantastic. the squad are miles ahead of where we were this time last season under Irvine in my opinion. There’s a real togetherness with the squad, they look like they actually care. Today against a premier league side that finished in the top half last season was always gonna be difficult, maybe the occasion got the better of some of the lads. theres a massive connection this season with the fans as well which is always good to see, they appreciated the backing from the fans today & we responded in turn.
