Seems a strange decision following their 2 best results of the season so far, with Vaughan returning with a double, Duggan opening his account and Buchanan remembering where the goals are. Does he have second sight and doesn't fancy staying around for the eventual sack when RR get back to their old selves or has he been poached by a bigger full-time team????? Would anybody swap Young for him theoretically???????

Some people seem to be belittling the fact that we have a striker from the East of Scotland League. Did we not get Craig Johnstone and Nathan Austin(Fash) from local amateur leagues and who would turn Fash away now.!!!!!!!!!

Don't think we will see any well known signings, possibly a couple of the younger guys and the ex Alloa goalkeeper who have been training and playing in the friendly matches. Would like to see a biggish name striker as a priority but don't think that will happen now.

Heard we were in contact with ex-QOS striker Derek Lyle but Peterhead stepped in and offered him £500 a week. Need I say more.

Don't think it is a case of supporters getting tetchy, just that we don't recognise the description of Liam Watt that you portray. Is it not the case that you are trying to convince yourself that he was not good enough for you but really you would have liked him to stay??? That's a strange one??? One of the reasons he left East Fife after a couple of short weeks was due to a gripe about travelling and now he is going to Forfar to play second fiddle to McCallum?????

I think you are in for a disappointing time if you are expecting your team to thump long balls up the park and Duggan to win them and lay them off to the supporting forwards. His strength was running on to balls played over the defenders into space. Mind you he missed a few of one on ones as well. Also a bit greedy shooting from daft positions when others were better placed but time will tell he may prove me wrong.

I would imagine we need more than "a" striker, only got Kevin Smith who I wouldn't call an out and out striker. Got to have competition for places and contingencies for injuries not just at striker level but throughout the whole team. Don't really want a bench like last year where we had the manager, a goalkeeper and a couple of others. At the moment though, there are quite a few other teams in the same boat so there is time and some good players still available. Don't know about other supporters in general but I am getting a bit fed up with the player merry-go-round in the lower leagues with players moving on to other clubs in the same league after a years contract. Don't like turning up every other week to see familiar faces in the opposition ranks who I was supporting the season or two before.

Get yourselves down to New Bayview tomorrow to watch East Fife Youth Academy Golds (u15) who are Fife Youth Development League 2 Champions. This is their last game of the season v Crossgates. 12 noon kick off. Free admission.. The team so far have played 20 games, won 18, drawn 1, lost 1 that is 55 points out of 60 and unbeaten at home (usually Savoy). A great achievement.
