  1. I think next season might be a season too far for him but then again his wages aren't huge and would probably be a good backup depending who's available on the transfer market. Also hope the shirt is a 1968 inspired effort
  2. Perhaps the fact you mention only 4 teams have produced 'quality' players is more of a problem than just Dunfermline only Motherwell and Hamilton are premiership teams on your list although Celtic and Rangers have a decent amount of Scottish talent in their squads is it not more of an issue that the other premiership teams with premiership budgets are falling woefully short of the mark. I actually think youth development is more usefully discusses as a fife issue now as the four teams are in it together and each club must work as hard as they can to help whatever talent is available to us to develop as best they can not only for our clubs who can't simply by the best players and have to nurture talent but also for the Scottish game as a whole
  3. really only 2 years? Pretty sure it took 4 years for Iceland to leave. Absolutely delighted with the news today.
  4. reads a bit like someones facebook post rather than a club statement important to get a keeper in but seems odd to get an amateur in.
  5. Won Fifes best eatery last night struggling today
  6. yeh between that and £300k and the season before they got somewhere between £750k and £500K. Dundee Unt obviously got their larger payment for this season
  7. yeh winning league 1 only give you £100,000 whereas most championship teams would get around £50,000 more and St Mirren would have received their second parachute payment of £250,000

Just finished watching this it was a brilliant series looks like there could be another series at least in it, I certainly hope so!
  9. For the 120 mins I thought we competed well gave a decent account of ourselves, hardly think we put in an amateur performance, however you do wonder why we can't stick a ball into the 18ft wide net from 12 yards out if all three of our penalty takers had tried to put a hole in the net and sent it right down the middle it would of gone in. Stats show down the middle is the best place to put it especially if you don't have the skill to stick it right in the corner, all out pens were at least a yard inside. It's easy either practise until you can't get closer to the top corner or batter it straight down the middle that's the coaches job but not a reason for anyone to lose their job.
  10. if Raith bring in Lee McCulloch you'll go from someone bleating on about Hearts to someone bleating on about the gers neither is very professional, but if you want to go the whole nine yards get that guy at Clyde who is always on the BBC talking up rangers or sevco
  11. after all this time I'm surprised the parents haven't been nailed for child neglect, however, glad they lost the case.
  12. The 2 saves after 0.57 and treble save at the end confirms that keepers must be insane they could all of ended his career diving at people's feet. seemed like a decent guy and cowden as well
  13. Johnny Vaughan can't stand him on the radio not sure why though
  14. The member clubs should of got them punted after they got beer banned from the ground.
  15. Hopefully this won't last long the first game involving both Celtic and Rangers where sectarian singing is widespread the police are hardly going to ban every address from buying tickets in the future meaning the whole thing is pointless and is canned.
  16. not much chance of soon normally the day before the match.
  17. I would imagine you would still be able to buy a ticket from a cash gate on the day considering the amount of tickets sold is pretty low.
  18. Already had him in and he rejected the contract we offered doubt he'll be back.
  19. he threw duthie in could see a few others in the U20's making it in
  20. Callum Smith has been scoring for fun in the U20's would he not be worth a shot in the first team should the worst happen.
  21. Queens or Ayr would be decent maybe Aberdeen away, to replicate the 61 campaign
  22. sounds like McMullen has been told he's going to be punted at the end of the season would be worth a look at keeping if he's interested at this level. His quote -"My contract is up at the end of the season and you want as many options as possible when that time comes"
  23. Glad you're feeling a little better take every small step slowly, it can be scary to open up for the first time but would agree with the other guys and say your Doc will help a lot. Good luck man, if you ever need someone to talk things over with don't hesitate same applies to @well fan for life hope you get through the tough sh!t that's been thrown your way and hopefully you start the new year much better than the last one ended. First post in this topic but glad many people who may suffer alone can get help from essentially a group of strangers.
  24. Glad after a few teams were meant to be looking at him he signed on the dotted line, glad he sees us as his priority and isn't getting his head turned.
