  1. They are planning to introduce restrictions on Tuesday...having parked their car away fans are required to enter the store and spend a minimum of £500. Security on duty, reg numbers being taken, so no alternative. Home fans allowed to park too but Lidl have agreed to reduce the shop spend to 50p.
  2. That's a good picture. Genuine question...Is that the shopping mall in the foreground?
  3. Vocal travelling support indeed, but their repertoire was cringe at times:- Refer to Clydebank 20 + years after the event - check. Refer to a shitey home support when you're hardly packing out your own ground - check. Refer to Airdrie being a shitehole when you come from Greenock and Port Glasgow - check.
  4. Does anyone know why the massive "fan/B" commemorative banner behind the Craigneuk Avenue goal has been removed? It appeared for a couple of home games early/mid last month but has disappeared. Was it voluntarily removed or did the club ask for it to be taken down? Shame, as it was very impressive.
  5. The Rovers fans did manage to squeeze in a rendition of "if you hate the f'ng Airdrie clap your hands..." Obviously an opportunity to voice their dislike of all things ML6 on the television!
  6. You could argue that Rhys has already done something that Murray didn't - win the play off and get us promoted. That alone raises his stock, especially as a first season in management. Arguably there are bigger clubs in the Championship than Airdrie, and plenty down in England, who might have a sniff around if he continues to get results - and get noticed, which (albeit we have lost 2 league games so far) so far he is doing.
  7. Might have missed this but if not has Rhys been asked the question by either Diamonds tv or the Record about why Devenny's on the bench/not playing and/or rumour that a club is in for him?! Or is it a case of we don't want to ask the manager an awkward question?!
  8. Clarke was playing at the stadium on Wednesday night against East Kilbride.
  9. Spot on GD. The old "it means nothing/nobody gives a shit" is invariably trotted out by fans of the bigger clubs when they lose these kind of games. What a pathetic cop out, to the Dundee poster above how about saying "nobody gives a shit" to your fellow 400 odd fans who took the time, effort and money to come down from Tayside to Lanarkshire!
  10. He's a total dinosaur and a thick, ignorant clown - "we played well for the first 7-8 minutes" - what a joke of a manager coming out with that (trying to be serious) tripe, then trying to blame the referee for not giving them a penalty (what about Leon McCann not getting sent off then John?), shifting it onto the fans etc... etc...
  11. Manager Rhys on the Pint and Two Shots podcast, 1 hr but worth the full watch:-
  12. Great relevant point there - not! Remind us all where you are in the league with your own stadium? Bottom, so fat lot of good your dump has done for your performance on the park. A stupid, meaningless point to make. Quite a few clubs in the leagues don't own their stadium, and anyway Airdrie's stadium owner owns...Airdrie!
  13. Completely agree. I remember the main stand being jam packed with 3000 fans, but have never seen a stand empty so quickly at the end of a game. As I walked outside into the car park and along Craigneuk Avenue the anger, disappointment and frustration was unusually evidenced by an unnatural, almost stunned and eerie hushed silence - no shouts, rants or even heated debates...it was almost surreal. I have never seen that before and I was sick to the stomach. We never really turned up on the Thursday night at Firhill yet there was very much a mindset of "we'll finish the job off at home on Sunday" - not boasting but confident we would be alright in the return leg. After our goal we looked on our way but their equaliser and winner, coupled with Murray's bizarre tactics (a good enough manager for us but ultimately failed to get us promoted) finished us. Based on our record I am not confident at all going into the play offs but agree with others on here the players are capable of doing it and we've as good a chance as anyone else in the mix.
  14. Two Dunfermline fans lifted - the main culprit had a beef with the stewards, who promptly called in the plod who were parked up in the away car park. Then said individual didn't take too kindly to the long arm of the law on his person...kicks and punches flying as the Pars lad got dragged away.
  15. Exactly. The same one who comes onto a thread commenting when his team isn't involved with a retort that involves dissing another club's crowd...surprise surprise from a Falkirk fan! You couldn't make it up!
  16. Like so many of them, too busy obsessed with how big their support is, how poor the home/away support is, why they shouldn't be playing in this "diddy" league etc...etc...
  17. Total fud. Not sure whether someone primed him when he was with Albion Rovers that we were "the enemy" from 2 miles up the road, or his time at Kelty where he was conditioned to despise any team from the west of Scotland, or maybe since he's landed at Clyde his teammates have told him we are indeed North Lanarkshire's finest! Odd behaviour for a two Bob bit nobody!
  18. Saturday's hammering was the final straw for the Peterhead board...manager Davie Robertson's away.
  19. Remember the days when Gibson Street was called Curry Alley. Glasgow has lost a few Indian restaurants in recent years including The Rawalpindi (a Tam Cowan favourite) on Sauchiehall Street and The Kohi Noor on North Street at Charing Cross.
  20. Never mind all this talk of players, formations, tactics and whether we will go up or not...the main and most pressing question this morning must surely be if Jim Milton will pour his own drinks in Hospitality on Saturday seeing as he has scooped a prize in the community draw?! These are the burning questions, the things that will make or break our great club...
  21. He's a clown when he goes on like that. At the moment the players are playing for him and buying in to his philosophy. Carry on spouting pish like that and he'll start losing the respect of the dressing room, players will turn against him, and then he's in real trouble. Get a grip Rhys FFS.
