  1. State of you. Shit show from us this week, shit show from your lot every week, so bad that you have to go on another team's thread.
  2. Combination of game management and some players who had one too many sherries on NYE by the looks of it. But it's the former that will thwart our aspirations - McCabe is out of his depth as out on the park he is either ignoring or doesn't have the capability to see what's happening around him. Where is the management "support" that was promised when he was appointed? Time the club followed through with this, swallowed its pride and bring in an experienced individual to help.
  3. Rhys McCabe is a good enough player but he's not a manager - yet. 5 months in and he's still proving to be tactically naive with either his formations or substitutions. Other teams have been dropping points as well but at the moment we have mid table written all over us.
  4. So will the club be issuing an indefinite ban to the manager for his recent actions in which the image of him had to be censored?
  5. The link on the website takes you through to the independent ticketing platform Future Ticketing (like Ticketmaster) whose page acts as a portal for ALL football matches at Excelsior Stadium, which as you have alluded to is a host venue for clubs including Airdrieonians FC.
  6. We're back in the news again:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-62512909
  7. Coming from Falkirk fans who started it with their "shitey home support" chants and photograph a few pages back of the home stand/Airdrie fans. Can't accept the facts on something they started.
  8. Spot on, there was just over 1000 in the home stand, 850 in the away stand. As mentioned some Falkirk fans have been looking at the main stand crowd being spread out more (in a larger stand) and thought it looked much less than it really was...an optical illusion, but the figures are accurate.
  9. Yes he was injured but would have been ineligible to play against St Mirren anyway.
  10. Now you seem to be getting annoyed at the new squad having a good day out because you are suggesting the plan isn't going to plan. The two things are completely separate, don't hang it on the players for simply enjoying one anothers company at the start of a tough season ahead.
  11. No killjoying allowed! The event was clearly a team building day out for camaraderie and bringing the players together early in the season. Nothing wrong there, money well spent.
  12. A bit more on Rhys McCabe's time in Ireland;- https://punditarena.com/football/andrew-dempsey/rhys-mccabe-airdrie-boss-league-of-ireland/
  13. Premier Sports (League Cup) fixtures confirmed;- SAT 9th JULY - Cowdenbeath v Airdrie, 3pm TUE 12th JULY - Airdrie v Edinburgh City, 7.45pm TUE 19th JULY - Airdrie v St. Mirren, 7,45pm - LIVE ON TV SAT 23rd JULY - Arbroath v Airdrie, 3pm
  14. Surely Clyde FC is associated with Glasgow and being near the River Clyde, hence the name and the club crest - the suggestion by the poster to move to Kirkintilloch is no less illogical than the move to Cumbernauld all those years ago - doomed to eventual failure. By your argument then you would be in favour of such a move to Kirkintilloch as you are implying trying to get back to Glasgow and the club roots (in particular the Rutherglen area) is not important anymore. You would be as well changing your name and changing the club crest if that's the case. Am I missing something re Morton? Their club crest has a ship in it too, well that's understandable as their ground is across the road from the dock area.
  15. The same reason you decided to move to a stadium and town miles away from your home - "founded and played on the banks of the River Clyde" with a sailing ship on the club crest, and miles from the River Clyde.
  16. It always looks more when you are in the main stand and looking over the crowd - plenty of gaps from just before the halfway line to the Petersburn Road end...pack them all together and the main stand was about half full...still very good but the figures are accurate, there was just under 200 Cove fans.
  17. A number going round to meet the Cove fans coming out - our own plus some Rangers who wanted to greet some Aberdeen who were in attendance.
  18. Brian has been the main commentator again this season albeit he has missed a few including Saturday's game against East Fife. John no longer does the co-commentary.
  19. Yes a few Airdrie fans at one end and a few others near the Airdrie personnel just past the halfway line. Should have won by more but conditions (pitch and weather) weren't great.
