  1. No idea but we drew 18 out of 39 games when won the old Division Two in 1980/81! (won 16 and lost 5) As it was only two points for a win back then, the draws didn't do us much damage.
  2. The aim is to be playing at Lesser from the start of next season. We'll see. Would be hilarious if this game is on tomorrow then the Thistle game gets called off again on Saturday. We've only played once on the pitch since Dec 4
  3. He's more than good enough for League One, we were all singing his name for the first couple of months of the season when he was at his best. It's also a bit disingenuous to claim that Muir "has not shaped up" in League One in the past. He was fantastic for us in League One season 2016/17 when he returned from East Fife. He was only at Methil for a month or so and his reasons for leaving were nothing to do with his performances on the park. Unfortunately the following season he conceded a couple of dodgy goals and fell out with Gus, meaning we had that doughball Michael White in goals for the rest of the season. Pretty sure we would have had a decent chance of avoiding relegation if we'd stuck with Muir. Ferrie has taken his chance superbly and if he keeps performing like this then he'll be our number one for a long time. His kicking and all round distribution also seems to have improved. I can't see Muir wanting to leave full time football though unless he has a job lined up. No idea when his contract is up. The club might decide Heraghty is good enough back up. He did well at Airdrie but I'd rather have an experienced back up tbh. I suppose there will be a lot of things up in the air once the new manager is appointed.
  4. I wouldn't be too sniffy about Paul Dalglish and the level he has managed at (are we really much better?) Looks like he has acquired plenty of experience over there. TBH I'm a bit bored with the usual merry go round of Scottish managers. Might be worth a shout He also might bring along one of my heroes Bruce Grobbelaar as goalkeeping coach.
  5. If you really are a QP fan ( yet you've never posted anything about QP) do us all a favour and never darken our door again. I'd rather absolute weapons like you weren't anywhere near our club Alternatively come up the back of the stand at Falkirk on Saturday and announce yourself so we can push you down the stairs
  6. Oh we are but maybe not as much as Raith spent today to take the rapist off your hands
  7. He signed a lot of them on 2 year contracts to be fair. But maybe he had to offer them such a deal to lure them down to League Two in the first place.
  8. I've decided that everything that happened that day against Falkirk was an absolute fluke .......but aye he did do well that day. Doyle was a stand out for us at right back in League 2 but his performances this season have reduced in quality IMO. I love Doyle's passion and his commitment certainly can't be questioned but I actually think he's done better for us this season when he was filling in as a centre half.
  9. The reaction of the majority of their fans on social media (and some sponsors) has been tremendous. Puts others to shame
  10. If we somehow manage to reach them then I'd be absofuckinlutely delighted to win them. It'll be a new squad next season, no matter what division we end up in.
  11. Surely there is somebody out there we can get on loan (unless we have reached the loans limit) Even a half decent young striker from a premiership club, something we used to do when we were amateur ( Brophy, Duggan, Keena) Heard a rumour Murray is having an operation next month!
  12. I think there was an incident at the home league game when an Airdrie fan (with his young boy) got lobbed out after he tried to get into the directors' box and offered a QP director a square go. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the reasoning behind this. Completely OTT of course.
  13. Think you're getting mixed up with the early season League Cup game v Airdrie. It was 500 for all those games. We managed to give Airdrie a small number of tickets though as we didn't sell out (Motherwell game a few days before was limited to 300 home fans only as the club messed up)
  14. The commercial guy is doing the job he is paid to do. Cringey vids aside, he seems to be doing a decent job. Aye it's a constant bombardment of tweets and posts right now from his department but that's only because the club have nothing to tweet about actual football matters. Well no good news anyway. The team doing poor right now actually makes his job harder. As for Haughey, who knows what his intentions and aims truly are as we've never heard from him so we only have the word of the President to go by. However I do know that we might not have got the required amount of members' votes to turn pro without promise of his investment, I doubt we would have won promotion to League 1 during a pandemic without him financing the 1st team (what standard of player would have signed for us and played for only expenses while the world shut down?) In fact, I'm pretty sure we'd be duking it out in the bottom half of league 2 right now. And let's not forget his money bailed us out when the initial Lesser build went tits up.
  15. We don't do runs of victories. Runs of draws are our thing. Promotion winning form in 1980/81 right enough.....when it was only two points for a win I really wish I had your confidence. We all know form in football can turn in an instant. We all thought (or hoped) the Falkirk result was going to kick start things but that didn't happen. So we could win 6 nil tomorrow and I still wouldn't be convinced it was the start of a consistent run unless we add a striker to the squad and get in a decent manager. Sorry but one win in 10 and 11 draws from 20 have made me like this. Feel free to quote all this stuff to me should we go on a good run. I'd be fuckin delighted to be wrong.
  16. ..or bowing out on a high after we qualify
  17. brilliant. Hope the guy got a massive Lego set for his Christmas
  18. Buzzin' for the table service in the Star Inn.....
  19. Grass is perfectly fine. ....if only one game a fortnight is getting played on it. Ground sharing means the pitch has no time to recover, especially in the winter I understand Ellis wanted a nice grass pitch. Now he's gone. Heard a rumour we're thinking of putting down a hybrid pitch at Lesser
  20. Our supporters' team are doing no bad at the moment. Maybe give him a wee shot
  21. Think most QP fans who want to go have managed to get tickets anyway. They appear to be still on sale
  22. Was Hamilton an available alternative? I honestly don't know I admit, I was quite happy when they announced Firhill in the summer. But my thinking was obviously clouded by the decent pubs nearby, the good weather back then and the pitch looking OK. Ground sharing a grass pitch in the winter sadly isn't working for either club. The pitch is ruined.
  23. I'm prepared to praise them for demolishing the old dressing rooms at Lesser. Mainly because it really annoyed a bunch of weird farmhouse nonces so fair play.
