  1. Already mentioned on previous page. You looking for a deal with Alzheimer Scotland?
  2. Supporters' bus is full and there will be the usual lot taking their cars but the trains being off tomorrow (totally forgot about that) is bound to put a wee dent in our numbers. Looking forward to it. Been too long
  3. Nah, bring it on. This is why we want to play at this level. Different challenges every week
  4. We'll be bringing our usual amount. No crowd wankers allowed
  5. Social club is currently getting renovated so we're currently all drinking in the Florida Park on Battlefield Rd before and after the bus to Stennie. Cheaper than the Clockwork round the corner from it
  6. Aye, I know how good Tutties is. That's why I was surprised. We've went there every time we've visited Arbroath. The bus drops us off outside and we've all piled in, no problem. I've got no idea who told him this but I'll pass on the message to everyone on the bus that we're welcome
  7. The guy that runs our supporters' bus has been told it's home fans only now
  8. Iain Campbell (and a mate) were sitting up the back of the stand among the QP troops last Saturday taking plenty of notes. He even joined in a few of the chants. Came across as good lads, even though they can't get us into Tuttie's
  9. ha ha fair enough, DC was class. Two great spells for us. Think we might have stayed up season 2008/2009 if Speirs hadn't left him out for Zander Cowie (who to be fair also produced one of the best saves I've ever seen at Ayr from Brough's close range header) That DC save you mention v Stennie was the best I'd seen.....until Muir's v Clyde in that infamous return to Hampden match. Stopped us going 2 down before he went up for an injury time corner and won that penalty. He also went on to break DC's consecutive minutes without conceding a goal record, although DC did set his in the one season (seven shut outs in a row when we won promotion) My Top 3 goalies would be Muir, Monaghan (let's not mention his brief second spell years later) and DC Another good listen troops, well done
  10. I loved Atkins, Ross, Monaghan, Inglis and DC. But see if it's not Muir....
  11. After what happened against Ayr, I really feared the worst when Thistle equalised but what a response from the lads. I think this is gonna be the season when my heart finally explodes. I did expect more from Thistle but maybe I've been underestimating the quality we have.
  12. I thought the midfield showing on Saturday was a vast improvement and Coyle got it pretty much spot on. Boeteng was class and exactly what we have been crying out for.
  13. Cheers faither. But is it not about time you got yer arse to confession? You've a lot to get off your chest
  14. The suggestion that away fans with non- wheelchair disabilities should have a small amount of seats together in their own bit of the stand is completely different from the stewards waiting until the 90th minute to do something about an able-bodied fan sitting among the QP support acting like a fanny. It's quite important not to conflate the two although I get the point about limited space and welcome the club being open to us using the space behind the other goal, although the restrictions that come with it seem unnecessary. Maybe our club shouldn't be giving away so may comps to assorted hanger-ons and "VIPS". That was one of the problems last Friday. Folk getting to their seat to find it occupied by some freelance journalist or lower league manager/coach. Our fanbase is small and we'll never grow it until we get back to the southside. However I actually think the numbers we've taken to a ground 25 miles outside of Glasgow have been decent so far. The club should never take that for granted but it seems like they can't help themselves at times.
  15. You think? We could be here forever talking about this complete and utter Jackie Brambles
  16. Aye, we are desperately needing a proper defensive midfielder. And let's hope he turns out to be much better than some of the other Under 23 players we've had on loan from down south
  17. Our performances so far against the fellow Championship sides have been real Jekyll & Hyde stuff in every game . Dundee and Hamilton league cup games - poor first halves and deserved to be behind. Second halves the much better team imo. ICT and Ayr - first halves we were dominant, causing all sorts of problems to the opposition in midfield and attack, could have scored more goals. Second half at Inverness we were under the cosh but still managed to hit on the break. And at least we showed some dig and fight up there to come back with at least a point. The second half on Friday was just total capitulation. Think Murray had a shot that was well saved but the rest was one way traffic. I've seen us lose quite a few two goal leads over the years but never seen us drop out a game so much. It can only be a mentality thing that we're not doing it over the 90 minutes. I can accept us not playing well, that happens, but we looked so jittery second half on Friday. We could hardly keep the ball or string more than two passes together.
  18. He's also in the training photos. I'd fling him straight in.
  19. Yep. Playing a cup tie so not moving their fixture (as is their right) But our game v Thistle next week is on Saturday when they are at home in the league so we must have come to some "arrangement" with them going forward
  20. I've no idea if Kilday has been made club captain (usually the commitee's choice) or if Coyle just thinks he's the best player to captain us when he's in the team. But we've had club captains before who weren't regulars in the team. Davie Graham in 99/2000 (Paul Martin was team captain) and Sinky in 06/07 (Kettlewell was team captain)
  21. That's Eze signed (officially announced tomorrow) Boateng close to signing
