Our mental weakness as a nation doesn’t have manifest itself in the performance of our national football and rugby teams. Honestly, how is it possible to play that well for 60-70 minutes, and get beat 4-0!? We collapse far too easily when things start going against us. Clarke should have treated this like a competitive game tonight. Next 3 x games would be the time to experiment and try out guys like Ferguson. Completely lost control of the midfield when Gilmour was taken off!! Don’t know what to make of it all in the end. Part of me thinks we would have got at least a draw out of that if it were a competitive game. However, we can’t continue to fold like that when the going gets tough!!

Yes, that is why I think Gilmour has to play in every game, he demands and is comfortable taking the ball in tight areas. He also makes it easier for players around him to play and keep possession. Whereas McGregor hides and wants nothing to do with the ball against opposition such as England and Spain. He needs Gilmour alongside him imo to force him to play.

As a Scotland fan, I’ve lost count of how many times we have thrown away opportunities like this. Great comeback, and then just when you think we’re going to achieve a great result, a switch gets flicked and we throw it away! I know this was just a friendly, but this type of outcome becomes a habit; a habit that seems to be passed down through the generations of our national sporting teams.

The ‘ultimate goal’ for Scotland should be to win the Euros. Why limit the ambition to last 16. Plenty European nations in similar stature to us have progressed to QF’s, SF’s and even won it, so why not.

Italy played all their home games except the semi final in Rome at Italia 90. Semi final was played in Naples. 3rd / 4th playoff was played in Bari.

That’s the million dollar question that no one can answer. I have yet to hear a good argument for remaining in the Union, and yet some Labour and Lib Dem voters will drop all their values and beliefs in a heartbeat to help keep the Union in place, makes no sense!

Lib Dem voters really showing their true colours at this election, a massively pro-EU party (apparently), but yet propping up the unionist parties at any given chance! Surely a vote for SNP would make more sense, but being part of the Union seems to trump everything, absolutely pathetic stuff! Where do all these people come from, I have never met a Lib Dem voter in my life! As for people like Willie Rennie, he perfectly encapsulates the daft wee, smiley downtrodden Scot! Quite happy to shout from the sidelines, but would shit the bed immediately if any true responsibilities with actual consequences was offered to him. Again, absolutely pathetic! Having said all that, the unionists can spin this any way they like, but yet again the parliament will be very much pro Indy and therefore will be entitled to hold another independence referendum. It’s only a matter of time, thankfully the vast majority of younger people see right through people like Willie Rennie.
