  1. We have a stronger squad than every club in the division, apart from Utd. Struggled badly against Morton to create anything against a team who have been throwing them in, I think they conceded 3 yesterday. We created nothing against Utd. McPake built the squad, I cant give him a free pass for this. Friday was worse than the 6-2 game IMO. McCann was polished, but spoke positive nonsense. McPake just looks utterly lost.
  2. Fucking hell indeed. So what is required to qualify? Same players? Same minutes? Same position on the pitch when they get subbed? Because it doesn't work. And the other games? And the same result. Strangely no, some speak a bit of sense. Did you see his interview on Friday night, he was like a rabbit in the headlights, utterly confused and lost.
  3. Do other people not look at his subs and think WTF is he doing constantly? The answer is clearly Yes, because its mentioned on here, on the happy clap board, and Twitter constantly. He is like a poor mans Ranieri, he out foxes himself, and his players.
  4. Not made the same mistake twice? Terrible substitutions that weaken the team Slow build up play constantly Playing a striker at left wing Being out managed by Neilson Spouting drivel every interview
  5. Yes, because theres no progress, and I cant see him taking the club forward. His tactical awareness is shocking, he cant get the absolute bare minimums correct IMO. We have absolutely no chance of going up under him, so I would get rid. Theres perfect sense for you.
  6. Hartley was sacked when we were 11th. This entire disagreement comes down to a difference in opinion about what we see. You see progress, I don't, you see cohesion, I see a mess. Lets be honest, we could debate/argue all day, without changing anyones opinion. If we finish second, win the playoff, and get promoted, I will have been completely wrong about McPake, but a happy man. If I am right, the club will suffer, and we will have wasted a season where we could have been rebuilding. Lets hope Im wrong.
  7. So your plan is to stick with a poor manager because its better than trying to get the right one? Quote Alex Ferguson at Man Utd, he always get pulled out the hat as what happens when you keep the faith.
  8. Just out of interest, what are those opinions? I haven't said we should win the league, win every game, so what exactly am I saying thats so wrong to you?
  9. Civility. If by your opinion we are at 75% after 13 games, in what way is that even remotely acceptable? IMO, thats a sackable offence on its own. Id give him time, if I saw progress, which I really don't. The happy backers need to get a bit of perspective as well, this league is a bugger to get out of, clubs go through managers until they get the right one, Utd had to do this a few times. I agree that Utd were almost certainly going to win the league, but theres acceptable ways of getting beat by the best team in the league, or even the worst, but we look gutless, unorganised and witless at times, and that is not acceptable.
  10. Fair enough, with your answers to the points. It wont come as a surprise that I absolutely disagree with your POV, as for deluded, again, another poster with insults, I could retort, but you happy clappers seem quite sensitive, and like to dish it out, so well done. Im quite disappointed that so many Dees are gutless wonders, and seem happy with failure.
  11. You started the insulting posts, so I replied. I disagree with a lot of people on here, but am polite, until I get abused, then I reply to it. I don't need to list a manager to make the point that McPake is not doing a good job, thats ludicrous and lacking in logic. If you have any serious questions, I will answer them. The positive nonsense of backing a manager because he is in place has resulted in us being relegated, and in this mess. If the club had any structure in place, we would still be in the Premiership, not the Championship taking gubbings from Utd.
  12. You've yet to answer my questions, you're only ever backing whatever incumbent there is, like a nice little club poodle. It must be nice to have your thoughts controlled by club loyalty, and not having to form any yourself. So you missed me posting after recent wins then? When we win our next game, I will @you so you can see if you like, I didn't realise my posts were of so much interest to you.
  13. I am not Nelms, am I. If someone is stealing from Asda, or always sick from NHS, or a poor performer for Arnold Clark, do you think they say, oh we cant sack him unless we have a replacement in place? No they sack him, then recruit, why is this concept difficult to understand? Is defeat so welcoming that you are scared to even try and win? Fear of change is ridiculous.
  14. Serious questions for the McPake backers.. Do you believe he is the best manager we could possibly get? Do you believe he is getting the most out of his squad? Anything less than two Yes answers, and you must question whether he is the right man for the job, surely?
  15. Oh god, this again. You lot are like a battered wife, cant leave the psycho beating you up, because you don't know whats around the corner. Here is what you do, you sack the manager, open the post to applications, then hire the best. Something we clearly haven't done for years.
  16. And? Just because Nelms makes an arse of contracts, doesn't mean Utd will do the same. If he leaves Utd in January for a pittance, I wont come back on this board.
  17. Some us think the exact same about the happy clappers as well. Talk of giving someone the season as a minimum is ridiculous, and completely lacking in reality. Some 'positive' fans are just deluded and full of wishful thinking.
  18. Shankland wont leave in January, it would be suicidal for Utd to allow him to go. Their board seems intent on gaining promotion, rightly so, I don't see him there next season though. Utd pulled off a masterstroke signing him, regardless of his high wages, they will make a massive profit from selling him at the end of the season, after promotion and god knows how many goals.
  19. Unless you don't think we are on track, which is my viewpoint. That spineless pish the other night was pathetic, if we come up against Hamilton for example, you really think we will even get close to them. We struggle to beat Championship teams, to think we get the better of a Premiership team is fanciful.
  20. Success this season is, promotion through the playoff, attractive cohesive football, good signings, on field and off field progress. I do not believe that there are any signs that we are on the correct path.
  21. Well done, attack the poster, not the point. Last season is gone, McPake got to rebuild his squad entirely, so what relevance is last season exactly? If you show where I expect to win the league, or get automatic success, I will bow. People like you are apologists for failure, good for you.
  22. We also lost at home to the bottom team just before the three game winning run, or are we just ignoring results to justify our opinions? 4 wins in the last 6 games is decent, but the Utd performance was critical, you can take getting beat, but we didn't even bother turning up. Its not a knee jerk reaction to criticise McPake, its based on over a third of the league season, and over 20 games in total.
  23. He is, but he controls with an iron rod, he is a dictator at the club, and takes advice from no one. Changes at senior level show this quite clearly, we have are being run by an out of control idiot, who knows nothing about football. He may be a decent businessman, but he clearly lacks any knowledge of fitba, which is kinda important.
  24. The debacle last night shows how poor we are tactically, how naive, passive and frankly clueless our managerial team are. The onfield display was inept, but McPakes interview showed an absolute lack of reality from him. We will stagger on with him at the helm, with his backers believing that he is building for next season. The reality of the situation is, we are over a third of the league season in, McPake has had 20ish games overall, and he doesn't know how to set his team up, he doesn't know how to make positive changes, whenever he changes things, they somehow get worse, the squad is unbalanced, the players look uninterested. As I said, we will stagger on, and we will be saying the exact same stuff in 12 months time. Whoever comes down from the Premiership, probably St Mirren at a guess, will fight like hell, and we wont lay a finger on them. Backing a manager is absolutely what we should do, we have failed to fully do this correctly since Hartley. However you only back someone who shows signs of being the correct man, and McPake isn't even close to being the correct man. McCann was a clusterfvck, McIntyre was doomed to failure, but McPake makes them look capable. When we appointed McPake, we took the easiest, cheapest, most pathetic route possible, we went for the guy who was in the building. There is absolutely no way that he was the best candidate, he shouldnt even have been on the 16th A4 page of candidates names.
  25. its 06:28 where I am, woke up early to watch that display. We had people say McCann will get it right, just wait, less so for McIntyre, but the same again for McPake. Its tedious and beyond acceptable, McPake looks the worst of the lot, utterly clueless, can you really see him turning it around, I give him less than a 1% chance, he is dull, confused and lacking any managerial qualities.
