  1. I absolutely expect a manager to sign players to offer a degree of balance, yet we aren't even close to that. Its now November and we still don't know how to play football. January to May is irrelevant now, however, if anything it should have helped McPake, he had a clear slate to work with, but has massively buggered things up.
  2. He was given free reign to sign a new squad, we have what Hamilton, Kerr, McGowan and Nelson from last season? You'd think balance would be important in building a squad, but we have 5 central midfielders, pish wide players, 3 strikers, 2 defenders, the balance is miles out. Yet you think thats a justification for defending McPake? I think thats justification for a P45. Ayr managed to rebuild their squad just fine.
  3. McPake signed these players, if there are squad issues, he is responsible. He cant get a free pass because the squad is unbalanced as fvck, its entirely his fault.
  4. Simple questions. 1, Are you happy with how things are going? 2, Do you genuinely believe we are maximising the squads potential?
  5. McPake signed the players, yet cant get a formation that works against a decent side, and struggles against Morton and QoS as you have said, do we give him a free pass because of this? Id say thats a massive failing, not an excuse. Ayr play very good football, yet play a bog standard 442, and do so on a tiny budget. Defending McPake is just madness after that game.
  6. A semi competent manager would get more out of our team, and a better performance IMO. That performance was utterly unacceptable for me.
  7. I know he has scored a few good goals recently, but McDaid is either good, or utterly dreadful, Mackie is useless, Nelson clearly isn't a winger/wide player. We are going nowhere with this manager, team or tactics.
  8. Its ok, we can beat Alloa and Morton. Tonight was utterly pathetic and embarrassing yet again. McPake is out of his depth, its staggeringly obvious to anyone who cares to open their eyes.
  9. Has Josh McPake ever looked anything but utter shite?
  10. China now, but used to live in the good Perth many years ago. Need to hope that DeeTV works tonight, as my IPTVs have both went belly up. Will be a closer game than last time, too tight to call probably, depends if their one man manages to score yet again.
  11. Kick off at 03:45 here, going to be a long day or an early morning wake up, cmon Dees get into these Angus tossers.
  12. Just woke up to a good scoreline, good to see Hemmings back on the scoresheet as well. Onwards and upwards hopefully.
  13. Good win, the second half was pretty much a non event strangely. Ayr win the foul count by a country mile, they just kicked anything and everything, very Hamiltonesque.
  14. You get the feeling that we have to score again, we cant try to hold this.
  15. Funny old game, Ayr looked better until we scored, we seem to invite them to come forward, then we open up a bit, and get forward quite quickly for us. Great goal by Gowser, love that wee lunatic.
  16. In theory, thats a decent team. The centre of defence is a worry though, only McGhee is good enough, and as Ive moaned a million times, Meekings is a truly abysmal player. I don't care what system, formation we play, as long as we win. Hopefully McPake can start learning, and very quickly.
  17. Hoping for a good result and performance, hopefully with Ayrs new manager in place he will try to change something and it will backfire.
  18. The problem we have is, since Hartley left, each appointment has been a mistake. Believe it or not, I don’t want constant change, to be sacking the manager and rebuilding. But we should not back someone who IMO, has shown no signs of being an even remotely competent manager. In no other business is failure tolerated so much as football. From media buddies defending their mates, to fans having blind faith, or wishing their favourites to succeed, or just wanting consistency for consistencies sake. Just a general opinion, not specifically about McPake. Revisionists saying this season is a rebuild, mid table isn’t a disaster, we were never going to go straight up are living in a fantasy world. It’s a results driven business, and so far, it’s not even close to being good enough. He won’t be sacked any time soon, but Nelms must be having third and fourth thoughts about this appointment.
  19. I heard that, he came across as a complete belled, a complete fantasist.
  20. Our next manager cant have any links with us. Im sick of starting to dislike people that I used to like, McCann was one of my favourite players when I was a bairn, but now, I cant stand him, I don't want McPake going the same way. Also, no Ross County, ICT or Dabs links either please.
  21. I know he isn't popular at Dens, but Id have loved having McCall as our manager, he is the best in our league by a country mile.
  22. Taking off Byrne and McGowan, and replacing them with two school boys. Ending the game with three pretty poor wingers on the park. If those two pretty obvious things aren't the managers fault, then good god.
