Don’t want to sign up or register to the morton website, I just want to buy a ticket.
Why is this not an option ?

Two weeks is a long time in football.Perhaps he’s better suited to playing against diddy teams

Connell looked brilliant on the highlights, liking the 3 playing off a single front man.
That 2nd goal

Certainly been told there is no money.
We’ve been told that for over 30 years

That’s not the impression I have. We have an abundance of central midfielders and he wants him to play. I think we’ll see him in the team next season.
Spot on

Whats baffling is we now have a well advertised scout/ talent spotter in place and the best he comes up with is Connell and McBride , Heard lee bullen comment on a post match interview that his scouts monitor lower league down south that’s how they spotted Akinyemi where’s our scout looking ?
Bullen will have a network of contacts down south from his Sheffield Wednesday days.
they’ll get chucked a few bob as a finders fee

In the short time Spencer was on the pitch you can see he’s 100 times the player Scott Brown is.
Think the ‘captain’ needs a wee seat on the bench, offered little and when he did it was to slow the game down.

1st time I’ve bought tickets on line
Is it specified seating ?
as my ticket states 2 rows, so I’ve obviously grown in my own age.

Cameron has scored for Killie at Tynecastle tonight.
Still not good enough for us apparently
I’d take him in a heart beat

No thanks he'll spend more time in the stands than on the pitch lol.
Is there a bar in the stand

Interesting that he’s gone, within a week of Sim’s interview that mentioned players had inbuilt increases in their 2 year contracts.
Anyway probably on a decent weekly wage, and the new manager didn’t fancy him so makes perfect sense for him to move on.
Seen some oddballs on Twitter demanding to know the fee

Were there any directors in there at the time sitting with a whisky whilst discussing signing targets with fans?
Sadly I’m not as elite a support as @Scottydog

Yeah that's the way I took the statement.
Was in the Strathearn last week for a family meal, Nolan and Agnew were there.
Nolan’s his right ankle was bruised to f**k.

Ayr have also sold more season tickets than last season
Anywhere near the 1,500 you were actively shooting for ?

Wonder if there is any truth/still a chance of Adam Rooney. Seems to me he’s the experienced type of player we lack right now, the kind of guy who you’d hope would be ruthless in front of goal.
Isn’t the Adam Rooney rumour, purely based on forums such as this ?
From Twitter I’ve seen him linked with at least 4 other Scottish teams so far by their own fans.

Can understand folk wondering if Luke Connell can make the step up.
It’s definitely a big leap, but it’s encouraging that a fair chunk of his goals last season were against Cove Rangers, so it’s not as if he was just a flat track bully against the also rans.
Fingers crossed he keeps up his good record against them this weekend.
Certainly doesn’t come across as being overawed by the challenge in his interview. Confident, but not cocky.

Devils advocate here, but given the season is 36 games, why do all fans want a settled team and 3 points on game 1 ?

Aye, I seem to remember him starting a game over there with 10 guys in his first game cause his star player had forgotten some registration or some shit and had to go home and get it....
See guys it’s not all bad this season
Signings to be choreographed with FFP being released on line tomorrow ?

It's a slow day at work, so I just had a wee look at this. Usual caveat that this is based on five minutes Googling and some fag-packet arithmetic, not any Skyline Drifter style working knowledge.
Every time a player is transferred between countries for a fee, 5% of the fee is held back and allocated to the clubs who helped develop the player (regardless of the player's current age).
So if we take the reported €500,000 as gospel, €25,000 would be held back. It's then divided proportionately between any clubs that the player spent time at between their 12th and 23rd birthdays.
I don't know how loan periods affect it, but Bates didn't leave us permanently for Rangers until shortly after his 20th birthday. I've no idea if he was at a boys club before joining the Rovers youth set up and when that might've changed, but if we assume for argument's sake that he was with the club from the age of 12, we'd be looking at something like €16,000 or £13,500. Even if he didn't join until he was 16 it'd still be about €9,000.
Not the worst news in a week where we could do with some cheering up!
Didn’t he come from Falkirk to us, if so they would get a fee too

This is the part that makes me think it's budget related, we can't afford to sign the required players with Berra on the books as a player or coach. Would suggest that our financial situation is quite poor if that is the case.
Or simply more evidence that Sim has stitched up his pockets

Been up to Aberdeen with much better Raith teams and been given a worse hiding.
I’d leave any judging of Murray till after the 1st 1/4 of the league season.

It's worth remembering that the defence was generally terrible last season when Berra wasn't there. Also Frankie missed a good chunk through injury. I can't imagine any incoming manager who didn't know the squad would be rushing to keep Benedictus and Musonda.
All comes down to the replacements, of course.
Already heard Matej wanted too much money so that’s why he wasn’t signed. Bene was also one of the highest earners.
Frankies deal would have included accommodation so again another cost. He also failed to nail down a starting position within the team for 2 years, (FFS Davo kept him out the team) and had a bad injury.
It almost as if some of these players are getting better because they aren’t here anymore, and people are forgetting what they were actually like.
Matej for example was busy but wasn’t the finisher we needed or now need - cup final performance aside.8
