  1. Well, that’s one way of saying Arbroath have played 2 more games.
  2. Some mod want to ban this utter fantasist for the dozenth time?
  3. The ridiculous handball decisions you see in European competition suggest you’re talking shite. And either way - the premier league have proven they don’t have a fucking clue how to implement it, it’s not gonna magically get better next season.
  4. https://mobile.twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1229314540040544263?s=20 Not sure I’d be barking up that tree as Rangers manager, Stevie.
  5. I got a boxing stream and spent days with constant pop-ups. Can't be arsed with all that again. Use chrome with an adblocker, I’m sure hesgoal doesn’t stop people using adblockers. The quality isn’t always great but it’s usually reliable enough.
  6. There's two fairly simple answers to that: 1. Loan players out. 2. The Old Firm stop hoovering up any boy who looks like he has a 0.01% chance of turning into a half decent player.
  7. That MIGHT be one of the worst refereeing decisions I’ve ever seen. Gets worse with every replay.
  8. He might be the best keeper in the league but I don’t watch enough European football to know if he’s best in the world. I highly doubt Carragher really has a clue either but that never gets in the way of the EPL hyperbole machine.
  9. Man City are every bit as morally bankrupt as PSG - being bankrolled by another dictatorship with a horrendous human rights record. They’re also clearing circumventing the rules with their Etihad “sponsorship”. The bigger more established clubs might see FFP as way of keeping the status quo but clubs like City getting hammered because of it should be seen as a good thing.
  10. I’m no fan of Hanley but it’s hard to see past him when you look at our other options. It will probably be 2 of Hanley, McKenna and Cooper.
  11. Absolutely. Just trying to generate a bit of discussion on the matter because I do think the state of the place probably puts some prospective fans off attending. It might not matter to us on here but any local is just gonna think “what a shithole” when they pass by.
  12. I’m glad there’s a broad agreement that we need to move with the times whenever we’re in a financial position to do so. Thought there’d be a lot more rose tinted glasses than there are. I can’t wait for us all to have the exact discussion in another 10 years time.
  13. Staying at Somerset is definitely the preferred option. There’s been a bunch of wee improvements made over the last few years but nothing near the scale of what will be needed at some point in the not too distant future. Pretty much the entire ground would need revamped. I think ideally you’d revamp the main stand, extending it along the whole side of the pitch and moving the pitch north to give room for more seating and stuff like hospitality (it’s really bizarre that our hospitality is in its own stand-alone building opposite the main stand). That would still leave you with 3 sides of terracing but they’d need to be steeper and in a far better state of repair and actually have proper toilets (what a luxury that would be). Not to mention some work on the perimeter walls to get rid of the prison look. A lot of people talk about getting a roof over the north terrace but that doesn’t really bother me as I like being out there on a dry day. f**k it, let’s all start a syndicate for the lottery.
  14. Bit of an out the blue thought here spurred on by some posts on the St Johnstone match thread, but we really need some movement on the stadium over the next few years. I love Somerset but when you take the blinkered glasses off you realise that the terracing is crumbling around you and far too shallow to see what’s happening at the other end of the pitch, there’s pillars everywhere bar the North Terrace and the atmosphere from one end to other doesn’t travel at all. It’s not something that will be sorted out until we have a new owner which we could be waiting another 10 years for, but until it is it will just carry on costing us tens of thousands each year to patch up as well as potentially putting off new fans - I mean there can’t be many neutrals who look at the place while driving down Somerset Road and think it looks an enticing place to spend their Saturday afternoon. I’m not advocating building some soulless Lego shithole on the outskirts of town but we can’t keep plodding along with what we have for another decade.
  15. Tremendous highlights package from Sportscene there as always. Really helped clear up any talking points with all the replays.
  16. It was but it’s irrelevant given it was a straight red.
  17. It’s mental how he seems to be the undisputed England number 1. Foster, Pope, Heaton and evening Forster are all miles better. He’s a wee ned into the bargain as well. edit - England really do love having blindspots for a keeper. It took them ages to drop Hart when was throwing in clangers every other game despite them having about half a dozen other keepers they could have turned to.
  18. I reserve the right the right to be raging at either McLean or Muirhead after seeing the highlights because the red card and goal moments later killed the game. For all their possession against 10 men there was no killer instinct from St Johnstone and I’m pretty confident we wouldn’t have lost with a full team on the park.
  19. Someone is on the Somerset Road End asking for opinions on a poppy flag to fly year round and I can’t tell if they’re trolling or not.
  20. I make that at least two Killie fans all over this over the last few hours with some thinly veiled crowd wanking before half our support have even bothered buying tickets. Rent free.
