Just had a look at Hearts' 1st team squad on Wikipedia. There are definitely some players I'd have in an instant - Naismith, Boyce, Berra, Halkett, but it doesn't look like it's miles ahead of what we have (at least outfield, anyway). Remember how well Nielson did with the DABS trying to get them going in 2018-19? He's a decent manager, but he's no Jocky….. We should be pushing Hearts and should be well ahead of the rest of the pack in 2nd at the very worst, but there are a couple of things that give me the fear, I presume it's fairly obvious who they are...

TBH, I'm just glad that the signing pics on the club website don't include shots of his watch....

Still need another goalie, another central defender and another striker. Could just about manage without the second two in the short term.....

Didn't listen to the interview, but it does seem a rather weird way of doing things - get suspended in the U21s and then play for the full team (potentially, anyway!), then do the same the other way about - get red-carded for taking out their main dangerman and then play for the U21s later in the week!!!

Read on the BBC website that Porteous is suspended for the U21 game, so in in the full squad. Is he allowed to play for the full squad in that case?? Seems a rather odd distinction that you can be suspended for one but play for the other...

I can't see anywhere on the SPFL website mention of TV gamed outwith the Premiership & Betfred Cup. Has there been any official announcement of how many games are being covered, even if they haven't said which ones yet? I think that last season our games against the DABS were on Premier Sport (?) rather than ALBA, so just wondering if they will want to highlight Charlie's skills to a wider audience this coming season??
