  1. To me looks more likely he will stay due to Board inertia and lack of cash to pay him off. In which case time to get rid of that utter dud Murray and get a proper experienced assistant with any type of ability in…
  2. Logan has been a massive disappointment this year as headless chicken, can’t cross/control a ball or defend. Efe is over the hill. Next….
  3. I thought we played really well today, despite my misgivings about the line up ( I would have had Efe in and dropped Logan). Pass marks for all except Ferguson ( empty jersey again) and Todd who looked slow with poor control and gave the ball away too much. Our running off the ball up front was a delight and for once decent passes forward. I thought Stone, Houston, McLelland, Reilly and Connolly shone. Doesn’t alter the fact that we need a new manager and have to bin most of this underachieving squad. One more season FT for me. I can’t make Montrose next Saturday so thank god I don’t have to watch us until July as it’s been a horrible season
  4. Actually I went through the fixtures. I’ve seen 26 games this season and only watched us win 6 times. That’s just horrible. I can’t put my liver through this next season!
  5. Listen if it means I don’t have to watch the dispiriting and turgid crap I’ve seen this year great. I’ve watched over 20 games and seen us win in person 3 times. Awful.
  6. Pretty good cv. I’ve changed my mind. Get him in now……
  7. Did well to get them out of L2 and back end of this season has been good but no progressive forward player development strategy as seems to be done with a nexus of ageing pros, mostly ex Queens players. He has got a lot out of them but not sure how he would handle a bigger budget and no evidence of ability to get a team out of L1 or play on a bigger stage. Not for me but I could be wrong. Difficult to be worse than our last 2 incumbents. Still the proven track record and connections of McCall for me.
  8. I see no long term track record that would put him on my list
  9. Because of his proven track record and link to Dumfries. Happy to listen if you have a better idea.
  10. I agree with this. I’ve sat on/ am sitting on a number of Boards and the Chairman with Board approval picks the ceo ( in our case also the manager), a strategy is agreed, then a business plan, with an appropriate budget and the executional plan is agreed then monitored ongoing with appropriate metrics. For what it’s worth ( only my view) it would be a retrograde step to go part time. I would pay off Bartley, approach McCall ( who I guess is only on a short term contract at Clyde) and then have a long term plan to start moving forward again. It may mean another loss but to a purpose. Much though I like Marv and his rhetoric, this year has been an abject failure with poor recruitment, hapless tactics and the football is awful to watch. Even if he hasn’t lost the dressing room he seems to have lost the fans. It would worry me to trust him once more with our summer recruitment. If we leave him in place it’s another lost season. I am deeply worried about the potential calibre of the new chairman and board ( I’m nervous about the info one can glean about Mr McLinden, on the one hand there is some evidence of success but also extensive PR about an ambitious business he was involved in being dissolved). Maybe I’m wrong as I don’t know him but I’m edgy. You all know my view. I still wouldn’t rule out opening the club up to investment and professional input from beyond just the local area. Only my opinion but seems that we are at a crucial inflection point for our future. I would hate us to become another L1/2 part time local club with no ambition. just a view…..
  11. Qos supporter told to take his drum back to the bus by a steward as the H & S manager had banned them - wtf. Rumour was that Connolly disciplined for dumping his healthy Qos packed lunch in favour of a KfC. Go Marv. Thought we played ok today albeit with no creativity. At least we stuck in. Ferguson anonymous, Doherty clueless, Todd a liability and Logan poor. Tbh Gibson didn’t beat his man all day and should have been subbed but not for Keiran, who did next to nothing as ever. Almost there and we can kiss goodbye to a truly awful season.
  12. I met him at Dumfries and Galloway golf club. Lovely man and a tremendous player in our 1970s seasons for me in particular. Brilliant one club man. We haven’t one player fit to clean his boots in the current team. He was never given the recognition his excellent play deserved. Sad
  13. For sure…signal must have been goofy between flights…
  14. Thought he was excellent yesterday and we will miss him against Hamilton
  15. I would have Houston in for Logan, Efe in for McKay and almost anyone in for Ferguson who again today contributed nothing.
  16. Just enjoy tonight. We won for a change. Lots to do but played much better.
  17. I’m fed up of fish. Let’s turn to meat. With McKay in today we will be mince. Overseas but sadly I’ve found a stream for this so will have to watch it before heading out to a client meeting midway through the second half. Let’s hope game is done and dusted before that. Cmon Queens time to start winning.
  18. Spot on. It hurts but you are right….
  19. Steady on. We aren’t going bust. To me we have to get to the Championship. Consolidate our full time status and be an Accie style toppish championship and occasional Premiership club. We are so underperforming at the moment it hurts. From 1930s-50s we were a top league fixture. Last 60 years have been crap.
