  1. Have you got it yet? Just spent half an hour googling different players and still dont have it
  2. No it had a trem and im sure it was near impossible to keep in tune. It wasnt my guitar so never played it very often but it got sold pretty quick after my friend bought it. I think he spent hours trying to set it uo and gave up eventually.
  3. A cheaper squire one or a proper fender? Ive only ever had experience of a squire recently and it wasnt great. Ive always wanted one myself but can never bring myself to spend a decent amount on it.
  4. Our singer had a deluxe strat and it was a great guitar to play. Those bands play all sorts like strats, teles and es type guitars. You may just need to buy more than one [emoji12]. You can never have too many anyway.
  5. I bought a G&L tele last year and love the thing. Played some very good strats but still prefer teles everytime. Its all personal preference and theyre totally different guitars. Suppose it depends on what music you play too. What ones do you have in mind?
  6. I got tested on sunday. They make you test yourself in your car now. This was a mobile unit ran by the army. They hand you a test and give you instructions and then hand it back. Cant see why test at home kits cant be given out if we are expected to test ourselves anyway. As for the lack of testing. I went online and could have been tested 15 minutes later if I stayed any closer to the testing unit. There cant be that many people asking to be tested as we have only had one case since thursday in this region I think.
  7. My wife had her 20 week scan last friday. She didnt want to find out without me so they updated her online notes and she waited til she got home to read them. Think she has an app where all her scans and checkups get updated.
  8. You're probably doing the right thing by getting a proper tick remover. A lot of people use vaseline or try to burn them and all it does is make the tick spew into the dog. I've accidentally left tick heads in my dog before but they have been fine as long as itd kept clean so dont worry too much if it doesnt totally come out.
  9. Maybe try a taylor gs mini if you go down the acoustic route? Great sounding guitars and a good size for a 12 year old. I use one myself on the rare occasions I play acoustic.
  10. I meant like in South Africa where theyre not letting people out to walk their dogs, what are people doing if they have no garden? Surely their dogs need to get out or their houses are going to be fucking rank pretty quick. There must be a fair amount of people in Scotland who have no garden but own dogs. Not saying it will happen here though.
  11. Are people still letting their kids play on swings, etc? I work for the council in Galloway and all parks have signs up saying not to use the play equipment. Is this the same in other areas? Not sure how much of a risk they would be for picking up the virus through contact.
  12. If the lockdown were to get stricter, and nobody was allowed out for exercise or to walk dogs, then what do people do with no garden? Do they live in a house covered in piss and shit just to avoid fines? I've read that South Africa already have these restrictions in place. Would like to know how that would work.
  13. I ordered one from the Game website yesterday. Never noticed anything to say they werent still delivering. I paid for 24 hour delivery but didnt arrive today though [emoji17]
  14. I've read a few things saying the UK is 2 weeks behind Italy with the progress of the virus. 233 deaths now in the UK and exactly 2 weeks ago, Italy had 233 deaths recorded. Really hope we're not heading to 700+ deaths a day in a couple of weeks.
  15. I have a lab/sprocker. A bit of springer added into the mix. Looking at that photo is like looking at my dogs photos when he was a pup last year. Great dogs but absolutely mental.
  16. Ive been watching a lot of videos about amps that size recently. I have a marshall dsl20 but want something smaller to practice at home with without annoying the neighbours. I was considering the katana air but am worried it might not be worth the money. One of these might be a better option.
  17. Same problem with the tickets here. Four of us have bought them online and not received any tickets.
  18. Larnaca last wednesday. Apparently there were around 50 of us. After talking to the other passengers, they all had different names to their friends/partners, so I assume they thought they were moving single passengers onto the other flight. Not sure how often this has happened though, but I read on the first day of the rearranged flight, passengers bound for glasgow from paphos were diverted to gatwick, so I suppose it could have been worse for us.
  19. Good luck. Our flight was meant to be the same as the original flight too. We got to the check in desk for glasgow and were eventually told, after about half an hour, we had been offloaded to the manchester flight.
  20. Currently in Cyprus, due to fly back wednesday night. Kept an eye on things through the night and had a look at a jet2 flight around 5am as back up in case our flight didnt fly back to glasgow. Looked again at 8 and the price had doubled. Looks like we will have to wait to see what flight we get from the CAA. To be fair, most flights seem to be roughly the same time and to the original airport but I noticed a couple of glasgow flights from other areas being re-directed to gatwick and birmingham.
  21. I had a big argument with a friend over this recently. He would happily leave a dog for 8+ hours. I totally disagree and would only leave mine for a few hours max if I had to. I only got my dog because my mum offered to look after him while me and my girlfriend work all day. My friend thinks I am too soft but I cant see a good reason for not letting a dog out for a piss for that long. Not to mention the lonliness.
  22. My friend sent me this photo earlier. We had been talking about hopefully spotting an eagle when we were walking our dogs only a few days ago.
  23. Cheers. Never heard of them before. Definitely looks like the bird I saw.
  24. Just looked at some photos. Think you could be right. My knowledge is obviously very limited but the older I get, the more interested I am in birds. Especially round the coast. Dont think people appreciate what we have around here.
  25. It was a little while ago now but I think they were a bit smaller than a gull and brown with pointed wings. Was hard to see because they were proper shifting. The most impressive thing was the noise though. My dad thought they were maybe turnstones? Probably should have mentioned they were flying near high cliffs.
