Won 3-0 today mate. Wouldn't have been so comfortable if Whitehill hadnt went down to 10 just after HT. Their keeper was in fine form.
Good result for you guys today!
Just saw ur result there on shire thread. Good result. Welfare are a good side.0 -
I was being sarcastic, there's no chance of us winning the league, even having a chance on the last day of the season would be a miracle. Yet there's still people in the shire support that actually think we'll win the league, delusional
Hope your right.[emoji6]0 -
EKAY WILL HIT A BAD PATCH #BELIEVE
We have hit that bad patch over last month. Its still all to play for. Preston result aside the last month has been a struggle. Went right off the boil from early league form.

Not sure exact number. Big squad tho. Not easy to keep everyone happy. A lot of decent players will be getting left out.

Craig McLeish returns to East Kilbride as club complete double signing swoop

Its a strange one right enough. Selkirk might get 50 more fans through the gate. Other than that it serves no purpose really.

How is ex Rangers player Robbie Crawford doing at his new home?
He scored a double on his debut. Looks decent.0 -
Almost as good belter than trying to claim a world record that you never won [emoji16].
I know, its shamefull.0 -
They should do what EK did and just claim it as a victory.

Who was judging your club???? Just stating my opinion that your current manager and captain lack class!.
Lacking class a bit like 90 percent of your posts.0 -
That made me laugh ! I for one won't do down that route. You are right in your irony [emoji4] (gave you a greeny).
Albion Rovers went through a terrible time in the 1990s just after a bad spell for the Shire. I remember some Shire fans at that time at an away game at Coatbridge belittling the home support for the Rovers performance and why would they support such a team. I didn't buy it then or now as we were just as bad as them a few years before then (little did I know how things really could get bad when Mackin tried to kill ES in 2000/01 then the gloves were totally off and I was protesting screaming and kicking like my club was dying... as it was). Move forward 25 years or so and the disastrous slide of the Zebras out the SPFL is still very very fresh in the memory but we seem to now be worrying about what a player or manager of another club may have said. We are better than that. Shire fans have always been inclusive of other clubs and fans.
To be honest players and managers of all clubs say silly things. It doesn't detract from the work and points already built up by whatever club. What will happen in the future is well why we watch and love footy. I totally agree there are some dafties out there involved with various different clubs spouting dribble for the press and self-gratification. If we give these dafties the time of day then we are acknowledging that their low brow non-intelligent remarks are worth even a glace or thought. Rise above it. Don't give them the time of day.
EK deserve respect for the what they have acheived on the pitch so far this season, even if they currently do appear to have a 5th element of players/management trying to Trump Donald Trump in silly talk.
Great post. Summed it up to perfection. If our clubs were judged on the silly things managers or players say when a mic is shoved in there face then we would all be fecked. There has been a few cringe factor comments from our manager which i would be first to except were a bit off. Made my toes curl as much as it probably made rival teams fans blood boil. But if the team is getting results on a saturday thats all that im caring about. So far they have done that so no complaints. Its a tight league as i said it would be on week 1. Lets see how it pans out. Both our clubs are on there own little journey. Ive enjoyed it so far. Long may it continue. Wouldnt be suprised if it goes down to a final game shoot out[emoji1]0 -
Loving the ek seethe fest. Its a delight.

Even if the planning permission had gone through it would have been a tough ask for the stadium to be ready at the start of the season. Personally I think 450 cap would be tight as surely more folk would want to see EK in their 1st season as an SPFL side if it happened.
Perhaps they could put a temp stand in? Is there space for such?
There is room for extra stands at other sides of groung. They have used temporary stands for some bigger games. The new stadium has been an issue for many years now. Has been ongoing for a while. Thats the longterm plan. Kpark would be used till new stadium is sorted. Biggest problem with kpark is there is not alot of room for parking or major excess traffic if capacity was increased.0 -
The plan is to build a new stadium. As i said tho, they are having problems with the site they picked with regards to planning permision. The new stadium will happen. Just a case of when they can get it pushed through. I would imagine until that happens they will continue to play at kpark. Some attenance figures this season at kpark must be on par with league 2 sides? Wouldnt see a problem with using it. I may be wrong tho. Hibee j will let me know if im right or wrong.

Last i heard they were struggling for planning permision on prefered new site.
