Auditions for Junior Strictly?
-
Today I think they were preoccupied with the launch of some video game initiative. Corporate priorities and all that.

That would be more than enough work for a legion of Compliance Officers. I’m afraid I don’t know what the correct collective noun is for multiple Compliance Officers but there may be others that could put forward suggestions.

What are the things you hate regarding fitba?
Drewmc replied to Bluenortherner's topic in Misc Other Fitba Chat
Anyone who calls it soccer. There is no physical punishment in the world that can inflict enough pain on anyone who uses that word. None. -
I think that position is vacant at the moment. Maybe Maxwell could provide cover in the meantime......although the fatal flaw in that suggestion is that it would involve Maxwell actually doing something. I’ll try to come up with a more realistic idea.

The Terrible Journalism & Tom English Thread

I played in goals in those days. It was before goalie gloves were used. My hands still have a pebble dash effect from catching (occasionally) those bloody things. -
I’m genuinely surprised that Which magazine is doing a comparison of pie huts.

Is that you speaking from personal experience of the process? -

So the spelling of Wdowczyk was obviously a bit of a stretch. -
It should not happen. Why Celtic and Rangers think they should get preferential treatment for this is just blatantly wrong.

Was at that game too. Laurie Cunningham was absolutely magnificent that night. It was a fantastic occasion. I got home minus my glasses which were lost in the bedlam of the jungle after our second goal. In the second leg George McLuskey was through one on one with the score still 0 0 but fluffed his lines. Celtic had been the better team up to that point. That seemed to galvanise Real and they took control and scored 3. -

I think he was sacked before the season started and the singing referred to happened when he was at Anfield managing Derby County....his next job after Manchester United. -

I think the evidence is that bunch of clowns were completely incapable of running a business in such a way that it would ever have to pay tax? I.e. make a profit. -

A unique occasion......as in the ‘old board’ at Celtic upping an attendance figure. -
I was at CP that night when Subo made her appearance. Singing in front of a big audience is clearly something she is very good at. However doing an impromptu interview at half time in a football stadium is not her forte. If only the guy trying to interview her had sussed that and stopped immediately rather than ploughing on whilst 50 odd thousand people looked at their shoes.

At the time Robbie Keane was on loan to Celtic, we had a home game, I think, against Kilmarnock. There were security personnel and police the length of Kerrydale Street stopping folk crossing. I was one of those stopped from trying to get to my seat in the west side of the main stand. I was at the top of the street ...closest to the stadium. A few of us kept asking why we couldn’t cross and were told it was because a VIP was arriving......and we would be in bother if we tried to break the line. Various suggestions about who it could be.....politicians etc. (Not royalty, obviously). We were held for about 5 minutes and then 2 blacked out SUVs roared up the street and the security /polis started shouting ‘everybody stay back”’ etc. The vehicles stopped and from the first one emerged Ronan effing Keating. From the second emerged his family. Keating was about 5 yards from me, preening himself expecting the adulation of the crowd....which was mostly guys over 50 like me. There was stunned silence with a few questions of ‘who the eff is that?’. I pointed at him and asked the policewoman next to me if we had genuinely been stopped from crossing the street ‘because of that bloody no mark?’. She replied, not quite getting the point, ‘Oh yes he is famous and I think he is lovely’. Keating was looking over and had obviously heard the exchange so I told him that if he had just walked up Kerrydale Street none of us would have bothered our backsides about him. (How I kept it clean with no swearing I will never know). No wonder some of these people get an exaggerated idea of their importance. He ended up doing the usual half time appearance but thankfully didn’t sing.

In the current circumstances, I think we all would be. Hope it goes well.

It could be worse. You could have a day out to Brechin planned for tomorrow........

What proportion are you allocating to each of those to stay within your nhs approved 14 units per week limit?......you know the sort of advice you no doubt give out regularly in the day job?? Merry Christmas. (Asking for a friend).

Probably as that was in the ‘good old days’ when the pubs shut at 2.30 and re-opened at 5pm. But at least they were open. The other option of course is an afternoon ‘lock in’. Edit....failed the observation test....just noticed the projector. -
I think a few more than that keeper could end up being seen as contributing to Arteta being binned. They are soft and slow. Dangerous combination.
