  1. And at the worst- the absolute, very very worst- we'll have a bash at one of those exact teams for a spot in L1. Be it Stranraer or Brechin, or an Annan side we already have figured out. Personally- i want it to be Brechin, to finally exorcise the demons of 2004.
  2. The commitment is non-negotiably unquestionable. They've shown this, time after time. I, like everyone else, hope we can begin tying these players down (not in Frank Bough fashion i may add) and build around them. They are after all, mostly young guys trying to forge a career. Those who give us proper memories are never forgotten by the supporters, as and these lads have built a story of their own.
  3. Tbf. That must be the highest points total accrued by a team not going up, so they have a lot to celebrate also.
  4. His game-management frankly is fucking awesome. The flat starts frustrate me like hell too, but i've rarely seen a Clyde manager understand exactly where the opponents gap exists with such precision. There are some managers who are 'lucky'- Lennon is most definitely not in that category, as we're normally steamrolling teams into submission rather than lucky breakaways, which from other teams have been our undoing for the last 10 years. I don't think anything needs addressed at all!
  5. This, this a thousand times Brian. There are a good few among us who still have their head wedged up an arse, be it their own or that of another. The human condition is the most important thing Danny Lennon, and indeed Norrie Innes in bringing him here, has brought and instilled into the club as much anything tactical or technical. This includes from not berating the keeper for howlers here and there (i've been at the front of that queue myself) nor DG for patchy form to the enormous smiles and attitude displayed by every single person in the team and backroom staff- it looks a terrific thing to be a part of. As an aside, when was our last supersub of Ally Love's standing, especially away from home? I make that seven goals on the road- he rarely starts, yet clearly utterly adores playing for us and how DL uses him. He's wur Ally Gunnar-Solksjaer.
  6. Agreed. I felt we were very lucky at the time. But frankly, who cares?!!
  7. Steady the f**k on here. How can we be the moral arbiters of goodwill amd chivalry for self-sacrifice on one hand, and on the other, chastise for a lack of lamb-slaughtering from our international-class striker? There's a fair degree of cake purchasing and then munching going on. These millennials.
  8. Uncle Jum breaking with tradition, here, and announcing that the tea's out rather early this year. Yous are positively shiteing it. Go on. Deny it!!
  9. That was pleasant. Deeply, and utterly satisfyingly pleasant. I look forward to us allowing that bunch of numpties off our mantelpiece for a few days in May for our amusement. #PromotionParty
  10. Where was their an accusation, weedobber? A perfectly innocent error. It didn't harm anyone's efforts or cost sanctioning.
  11. It wasn't coming up at the time i looked, i then went to bed
  12. Shouldn't this be communicated officially, given that the game on Saturday may contain varying degrees of importance based upon its ruling? This isn't some amateur dramatics society. It's a football club, people care about it and deserve better than a drab on an open forum. For fucks sake.
  13. It's momentum which gets you through. In 2014, Stirling were honking until March, then went up beating Least Fife. In 2016, QP sneaked in on the final day, gubbed Cowdung then us in the final- that being after we had secured our spot two weeks before. Stenny fitting the narrative last year also. In the unlikely event of a compromise on Friday, i think we will go on to win the title. Not with ease, but the fixtures we have will command 100% concentration and effort. Even if not, i think Lennon and his team will be focused on winning every match they play, even if you win your next two to clinch your title. A couple of faces will be worth seeing when hearig the results from Peterhead's meaningless match (or two), thats for sure.
  14. Coming back from 2-0 down inside the first ten minutes- Pat Keogh overhead kick. Jim Thomson 95th minute equaliser. Andy Smith header in the pissing rain. Leigh Hinds thunderbolt in the bottom corner- Allan Ferguson's still getting down to it. Bring it on.
  15. That aspect of the decision truly is ridicilous, but its Uefa themselves that have set this marker (FC Sion a few years back). The SPFL started two years later, so perhaps the ruling stems from thar fresh example. Removing the supposedly unearned points (DF did provide the assist) is one thing, but even getting back the point from the game at Hampden may prove decisive.
  16. For fucks sake, don't put ideas in their head. Or his. He has referenced his happy work-life balance on numerous occasions, and his working relationship with Norrie Innes was well-documented, although that of course has apparently altered somewhat. Tying him to full-time AT Clyde has been mentioned, but shorn of any full-time players to work with, i don't see what that would aim to achieve. The reality is he'll go one day, just hopefully not in the near future.
  17. The mountain of self-inflicted obstacles those two have had to navigate the squad through, has been unbelievable. Perhaps the potential for him to achieve at least what he did at Cowdung might be the one major thing to keep Lennon at the club.
  18. Looking at the options.... The only one i wouldn't want are Dumbarton. They seem to score just a wee bit less than they concede, and looking at their players, a wee tweak would have them higher up their table. Stenny, largely full of players we've played recently/had with us, couldn't live with us at Ochilview after Lennon's January signings settled. Munro would now barely get on our bench, and Marsh wouldn't even be the waterboy for this side. I think they'll go directly down, unfortunately. Both Brechin and Stranraer appear half-full of never-weres on the way down, simply cashing a cheque, and their younger players look rather uninspiring going by their stats. If both other Angus clubs in L1 (given Arbroath are all-but-promoted....and that's a discussion for next season) can flirt with the playoffs with little or no player turnover to speak of, i see nothing to fear at Glebe or Stair Park. Annan though- they genuinely give me the fear. Not because they're good. But because we'd somehow find a way to lose to them.
  19. A whopping £60 a week- you're not convincing six players to come to us for the sake of a tenner- behave. The real earner, if not this Saturday alone, will be for Edinburgh if they go on, secure 2nd, and then have us at home in the second leg. You lot, getting us twice in a month, is a major disadvantage to us, given your shite numbers. Not only would you pocket that 3k, but most likely also double that this weekend, and again in May. So- £15k for you, an addition of more than 25% of your prize money on top- and what for Clyde? Not even a grand through the away gate from the home leg, probably barely a monkey on Tuesday night. Nice. I do fancy we'll finish in 2nd, 3 behind Pedro, to rub salt in the wounds, and the above scenario won't play out quite as bad. We'd likely not bring that many to the first-leg, so one saving grace is hopefully not being rinsed by the Edinburgh PIE franchise on that occasion.
  20. The possession of a mere baseball gets the gaol now? Fucking softies.
  21. Now that second sentence is an utter lie. You'd only be warned about singing offensive lyrics if you sang, at all!! And it is of no measure of mental health to be well-adjusted in a perversely sick society. Our stewards are fine, now.
  22. I think we've a few of our own who fall into that category, tbh. Despite what they see in front of them, on any scale, they are simply unshaken in their insistence that it's all fine and dandy. Let's hope Edinburgh's DVD player is broken and they don't get to see our highlights from Saturday.
  23. I'm just as bad. He was a registered Clyde player, but his eligibility for recall from his loan had expired, and we did so after the deadline. Only signing a free agent, or a development loan (like Banks) which i can only assume hadn't come to fruition, would have been permitted.
  24. No, it's not. It's appealling the punishment for fielding an unregistered player.
