  1. Ignore the quote. I see Peterhead have taken Sutherland from Elgin. I can't help but feel this is doubly good news for us, as while i can't say i rate him that highly, he has often been a decent performer for his parent club who might now struggle to replace him. The fact he's gone to Balmoor very possibly also means at least one less 'good' attacker is likely to feature for Peterhead if they're letting one of their current four go to accomodate him.
  2. What do either of these two know about Scottish Second Division football? Bugger all, I would think. I'd call that a distinct advantage, if i'm honest. And even if it weren't, what exactly is there to know about it that would give anyone superiority?
  3. "Without cruelty there is no festival" - Neitzsche "It is no measure of mental health, to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society" - Krishnamurti
  4. By all means post whatever you wish to, if it helps with this dose of pixelated incontinence you've been laid low with lately. It's no wish of mine to stifle discussion, whatsoever. I don't particularly believe that anyone being supportive, dismissive or indifferent has any relevance to whether a player succeeds or not. John Rankin got pelters for three months, and indeed i'd have dropped him at that stage. Look at him now. Belmokhtar, on the other hand was championed as the Mahrez of L2, to much ado, and look how that turned out. The implication that either Kris is shite or Lennon is good, leaves a bit to be desired. The key to Syvertsen, is how Lennon utilises him. He's good enough to be signed ona permanent basis. But for the manager, most his entire first-choice eleven (Currie, Stewart and DG aside) started in a different role to the one they now play. Appropriately, that exact scenario is what we now have upcoming, in looking for a temporary solution at 9.
  5. I'd prefer if you spoke/posted as objectively about matters you're unsure of, as those you ARE sure of. Shortfalls in budgets were NOT among your reasoning for trusting F****son with his shite signing policy, yet Danny Lennon must be watched like a hawk in how he disperses his funds? Or would those matters have more to do with who was supplying the budget at the time? You seem far more cynical, during a period of consistent club growth and player development, than you ever were when we were complete pish, in my opinion.
  6. Have you ever considered teaching a cop-out class? Christ almighty. "I think he's shite, but if the manager turns him round i'll like him". Be a good idea to check your turds for creosote, HD.
  7. Actually, yes. And very loudly, too. Many saw through Ferguson very early, others were later to the party. The real problem was having to accept the wisdom of those who could not or would not sack him. Please never include that fanny in the same sentence as Lennon, ever again.
  8. Yes yes, this is all old hat tbh. The Queenies beat you to this by about two years. What they didn't do, in fairness, was shrug shoulders at a child-bender in their team. What it doesn't answer, is how can it be acceptable to fully support the apparent findings of one such case, after being thrown out in the garbage at the PF, but nonetheless written in plain black and white by the pretendy, he/she-hurt-my-feelings court (presumably so as not to differentiate between the confirmed and alleged crimes) yet largely ignore another which definitely, absolutely did happen? Would it be the fact that the second happens to be playing for your team when it's at the top end of a league? I find it very difficult to believe that Edinburgh City have at any time forged enough of an emotional attatchment for them among their spectators, to strongly support his position at the club OR for the situation to be seen as anything other than normal activity, with no recourse either expected or permitted, it would seem. If its a simple game of football the twenty-odd punters are after, there are plenty of others they can attend. There is no-one, absolutely fucking no-one, that eager or hungry for success at this mob to merit having Thomson on board, unless either endorsing it as they help him rehabilitate (a proven non-option in thousands of similar cases) or are an equally-as-CT mentally-ill liberal nutjob claiming to support his rights. Your local MPs certainly give rise to a certain unicorn and rainbow agenda, so it's easy to see where both outcomes originate.
  9. Is what he enacted, and admitted to, perfectly reasonable conduct? For fucks sake Tam. See below. Again, see below. Some serious growing up required in North Edinburgh, or a systematic neutering of all males of reproductive age in the area instead if you're actually serious here, Tam.
  10. If the rest of the post, regarding the HMP in your area, is rambling then i accept that charge fully. But it only is rambling because i struggle with the concept of apparent ignorance of Thomson's deeply sociopathic tendencies because he served any time over it. I mean genuinely struggle here, Strichener. Society may pretend that in these hip, liberal times that the world is ready to forgive, and those who don't are the problem. Those types on here clearly only have faith in one side of the legal system, and make their own judgement anyway based most likely on sympathy for the severity of the allegations, coupled with some form of contagion trauma as a means of retribution. Nothing else.
  11. Only one club has a proven sexual predator playing for them, though. Only one has been on The Register, which is usually gas mark 1 for sex offenders. Thomson ranks around a 4/5.
  12. That's awfully strange. I could have SWORN that the pyramid was introduced to challenge and ultimately to replace the allegedly badly-run, debt-ridden, unscrupulous senior clubs supposedly all-too-often amoral, reckless, win-at-any-cost mentality, with this new structure featuring clubs with a new, vibrant, community-inclusive manifesto, and to create transparency throughout the multiple administrations of the game in Scotland leading to us winning the 2030 World Cup in the process. Maybe Edinburgh City and their well-wishers can reflect on this, having now clearly become beset by the very self-interest they no doubt previously keenly engaged in wishing to eradicate, and indeed emerged as unlikely poster-boys for the campaign itself. They wanted equality in football, well they're being treated as equals now alright. Get over yourself.
  13. Fresh evidence, Strichener. FRESH EVIDENCE. Clearly the original evidence was insufficuent to mount a case in the first place, either you are incredibly thick not to read this or you simply don't like the individual, the club or its supporters for not taking the matter lying down, as it were, therefore an unproven allegation carries more weight for your venom, based on who is involved, than an admission from an individual that he instigated and prolonged his deeply sick predilictions for children, and has seeked no cure for his illness despite its availability, but nonetheless an individual you are happy enough to watch in peace and quiet. If it is the case you simply believe 'serving sentence' is the key to human indiscretion redemption, do you by any chance pop into the local gaol with Christmas presents for Thomson's ilk each year, presumably as i doubt many would visit their family members ending up in that particular nick? Following your logic, its YOU who'd be the hypocrite for judging after sentence served.
  14. It's got nothing to do with the fact he plays for my club. If you cast your mind back, there were spates of rape allegations throughout the sporting world at the time, not least one involving the Scotland keeper, a then-St Johnstone midfielder and an alleged reality TV star, all three of whom i held mutual acquaintances with at the time. I had no vested interest in those, or DG/DR's cases, other than hoping the correct verdict was reached. DG played and scored for Scotland in the aftermath, returned to even play for Aberdeen in the intermittent period between cases, with the FP case still looming over him. For it to never reach court, was and is the only factor in why i believe what i do. If one shred of evidence to the contrary were provided, i would have been the first to abandon the club.
  15. If this is how you would like the solving of a case to be conducted, then the answer would have to be an emphatic yes, as all legal recourse had been exhausted and required no trial. Thomson solicited children. There is NO comparison, "years ago" or not. DG is now a father. No woman of sane mind would consider this with CT, by virtue of his patholigocally disturbed preferences.
  16. Simply put, soft lad....you're a complete rocket. "Despite never having faced a criminal trial". You obviously only read certain words!
  17. My oh my Gordy. Shocker. The offence of which Thomson was found guilty, and is a proven and regular preference of its perpetrators, was committed (at its very latest) around the time of the dropped case to which you alledge of another individual. One is guilty, and has a disgusting perversion of which there is a known cure; the other was not even tried. "Many years ago". Fucking hell.
  18. Aside from the blatant singling out of one team's supporters, who generally embrace and join in with the taunts and 'bantz' thrown their way by fans of every single other club (and a few voyeurs in the bushes at Ainslie Park as well), exactly what behaviour is it that is descriptive of "being a fanny"? I'd be inclined to "call them out" (very much last year's phrase) and just say with one exception, the Postal Utd patrons are quite an ignorant, insular bunch. That would be an opinion, based on refusal to answer simple questions, or an unhealthy eagerness to just put their index finger in their ears (incidentally, a much better place to put them than their captain would like to), shout "lalalala" until the internet stops, when pressed on anything remotely of interest.
  19. I think our time's up (to use a contemporary tagline), Yolt. It's clear that the construct of a new team, performing well above its station, has yielded a pre-desired outcome of shutting down discussion among supporters which is normally ignited among the big bad 'old clubs' following, with our trolling among other undermining tactics being ignored into extinction. Craig Levein predicted strikerless teams, now we have opinionless spectators!!
  20. Precious, precious. The irony of TWO other, fellow interlopers like me standing up for you than more of your own fellow football-spotters is dee-lish.
  21. If you don't like the term "well-wishers", how would you like to be addressed? Carpet-baggers? Voyeurs? I see very little descriptive truth in linking to you, the term "supporter", based on not the answers but complete lack of them, when a simple question is asked about the club you choose to follow, at this moment in time. Coupled with much twisting of knickers about a few Clyde fans posting on this open, anonymous thread, i'd hazard a guess that there's something to hide at this club, which open discussion may inadvertently reveal.
  22. Says the only person with a PnB restraining order placed against him. To answer your queries, which i can't be arsed quoting, i'd consider a supporter of a club in 3rd place, posting on an open thread for spectators and well-wishers of the club in second, given the current position, to be perfectly normal behaviour. To be clear, the thread isn't for Edinburgh City 'fans', and nothing on the thread , from anyone, is private intercourse. It's for discussing matters concerning the club, from anyone who wishes to do so.
