  1. Falkirk.... Bo'ness........ It's like choosing between Cancer or a Stroke. I'd hardly boast about not living in Bo'ness if I stayed in Falkirk tbh.
  2. I agree. Bo'ness makes Greenoch seem habitable. Imagine publicly outing yourselves on an open internet forum as living in Bo'ness. Minter.
  3. I refuse to acknowledge any existence of Greenock. Far better off living in arrogance than believing that such a fundamental hell hole could ever exist on this land.
  4. Student loan came through without any complications or bullshit. So tempting to go out and bet it all on red, but i'd be spewing afterwards. Going to open up one of them savings accounts that you can't touch for a couple of decades and try and dedicate a set amount to it each month. Hopefully won't need to be relying on it by then, but will still be nice to have available.
  5. Not so sure. There's a distinct lack of winners in Falkirk. It's as if god took all of lives major failures and shoved them all in one place to protect the rest of us.
  6. How many times has Falkirk been mentioned in this thread? Can't be bothered to go back and count.
  7. I like how they word it as "Davidson being more popular that Sturgeon". Of course a huge percentage of people in Scotland think Davidson is doing a good job. Just not in the way that she or yougov seems to think.
  8. That's cute. Did your grandson type that for you? Tell him he's welcome to have a chat with me on here once he progresses beyond writing several lines of code.
  9. That's too technical a term for him. He doesn't even know the difference between RAM and ROM.....
  10. You wouldn't know. There's very little you know how to do online.
  11. You mean like your previous post? "7 billion idiots sitting on the crest of a wave of brilliance produced by a handful of geniuses". Really? Well if it's all 7 billion of us, then that includes everybody of all ages. Why didn't the last generation do enough to encourage the next generation? Old people love to point the finger at the younger generation for what they perceive to be social, economic and intellectual weaknesses. But aren't willing to take any responsibility for allowing that to occur. Where were they as parents when they felt their own children were failing them?
  12. You don't need to be a programmer to fix a PC issue. In fact, you don't need to know anything about coding to fix a basic software or hardware issue. On the other hand, to become an accomplished hacker, you must have at least a moderate understanding of code and how to manipulate it to behave the way you want it to.
  13. Well different people have different experiences then. Because the younger generation are naturals at fixing technical issues in my experience. Not only do they fix them efficiently, they make it look easy.
  14. The one that you left when your lost your marbles due to old age. Shame.
  15. With your constant whining about us young whippersnappers and the over use of technology in the modern age, you come across as a bit of an auld git tbh.
  16. In order to earn, you need opportunity. It wasn't like back in your day where you didn't need qualifications or the necessary paperwork. You just walked into a job and rolled your sleeves up. These are different times. So quit living in the past. I'm not complaining. I'm actually doing quite well for myself thanks.
  17. We're entitled to a future full of opportunities like you had. While your kind are trying desperately to rob us of that, it's failing miserably.
  18. Just wait until your PC breaks down (which will hopefully be sometime soon), you'll be running to a young guy to sort it out for you. You're much like my grandparents, they try desperately to do the basics, but come to me to fix basic issues whenever something goes wrong.
  19. Old man ranting about young people using their phones. You're most definitely a Telegraph reader. That's where you get this level of crap from. Also, it was your generation that screwed up the economy, not ours. We were too young at the time to be borrowing money that we couldn't afford to pay back. Still.... you keep on thinking that your generation are better at budgeting. As for all of the stuff after that. More rantings from an old man. If I ever reach a situation where I need to do any of these things (which I never have done) I will type it into google and get the information I need.
  20. More often than not, young people can fix PCs when they break.
  21. It really isn't. You underestimate the intelligence of the new generation. Young people learn more in the space of 5 years, than the last generation did over a life time.
  22. No. But I study computing at a high level. This includes software, hardware, programming, networking and security. Things you and your old chums on here clearly know nothing about.
  23. Are you suggesting that people who can't use the UI have a better understanding of how it works? That's desperate old man. Sometimes you just need to accept that you're in the wrong and step away from the debate. Young people are far better educated now than they were back then. I know old people like to complain that young people are lazy and don't have a clue about anything. But really, it's old people who are lost in the modern world. Outdated knowledge, outdated political views..... they're dying out mate.
