  1. Nah I changed my wee favourites link the other day, before we'd actually been moved. So there was me being all prepared and smug, clicking into the Championship and we were still down with the plebs in League 1. It's a weird one, I quite like it, we all want to get back to competitive football but I do agree that it's a bit odd with the timing of it and will definitely be of detriment to some teams who may struggle to get players in, are maybe relying heavily on the loan market to build their team etc.
  2. I'd be shocked if it's not imminent. Perhaps waiting to take photos of the players in the new home kit. New site looks good, of course missing sections but much improved. Apparently our new shop will link with The Terrace. So when they post a new Dunfermline related product it will appear on our website as at the moment we have some stuff, but to see the full shebang you had to go on the Terrace site.
  3. You been taking tips off the Falkirk fans on how to be a crying wee lassie? Multi club forum, you can fire over to our big City thread when we do something. Shoes off mind!
  4. Yeah you guys would be pretty handy to know. Wighton played some really great football and despite us not being free scoring he scored a lot, especially the further we went. Be interesting to see how he does this season, he's full of confidence, the main man under McPake which helps him and the fans love him. When he's on one he can be a genius.
  5. Of course not. I think the three signings they've made are good quality, but I wouldn't want them, perhaps Hamilton but Mullin doesn't seem to hold consistency, a bit of a Cardle and I've seen enough of Smith the last year, again he's a good player but that's where that ends for me. Works hard but so do our guys.
  6. Players due back next week? Would be nice to see the old ✍ a few times before then. I know McPake said recruitment wouldn’t stop when he was away on holiday so hopefully that’s true.
  7. And everyone who was offered new terms has accepted. We've also signed Kane Richie-Hosler permanently from Rangers following a successful loan last season.
  8. Yer baws, you were heard asking for almond milk for your tea
  9. Even a lesser quality steak bridie is better than most other things.
  10. I feel like we’ve been at a party and are now eager to get home, birds are chirping, peeping out the blinds looking for a Citroen Berlingo to turn up and take us home. Why are we still here, I feel manky.
  11. Seen him out jogging up the hill past the crem the other week, he’s certainly been in the gym since his departure from East End, looked absolutely jacked!
  12. Apparently McPake on holiday after today so could be quiet for the next week to ten days after today.
  13. Agreed! New club shop looks good too. I was in last weekend picking up something and Matt said that we were getting a new online shop that would also tie in with all the items available on The Terrace. Some fresh faces tomorrow with a home shirt announcement would be sweet!
  14. Seems to have reverted back to the old one now and shop down. I noticed a yellow 1/4 zip on the shop was listed as black for example so maybe just cleaning up some things but it looks great. New away kit is absolutely cracking! I even love the big sponsor logo on it.
  15. I see Dundee have posted on social media to confirm Paul McGowan will now definitely be leaving them. Just glad he's been found safe and well.
  16. Most contracts finished yesterday, it's Thursday, I wonder if we'll see any new faces at East End today.
  17. That line about Paul McGowan is hilarious but not necessary.
  18. The McMullan one would be good if we pull it off, sure he was in one of the four nominees for Championship POTY. He's a good player, someone who I enjoyed having in the year he was on loan with us, and was always a thorn in our side when playing for both Dundee clubs since then. New manager in at Dundee who will know the Scottish leagues well but there's a few up there I'd be interested in, Fisher, Byrne, McMullan, McCowan, McGowan. Now would they want to come here? The Fisher rumour hasn't gone away but I suppose it depends if he's offered terms at Dundee or not, Byrne still under contract I think, McMullan leaving, McCowan out of contract but I'd imagine he'll be offered terms which would require a development fee (he's one I could see playing at a higher level, purely speculation because of the McPake link from signing him previously) and McGowan is a fairly expected rumour given he was with us and was vocal about wanting to stay. The person on here saying we had some Dundeealz about to be completed, come on down and speak words to us all! Suppose today is the last day of most contracts, 31st May.
  19. Have you guys done an end of season staying/going yet or is this it all starting to come out individually?
  20. Not bad. There is however a photo doing the rounds in my group chat that shows the complete reverse, all yellow with black which isn’t my cup of tea.
  21. I don't quite get the 3 year deal but it's not concerning me. He impressed me when playing for Dundee Utd, albeit only a couple of times. His first season with us was dreadful but as a whole we were rubbish and he rather quickly lost confidence and was dropped. Last season he was really good, breaking records, TOTY and it wasn't a fluke, we were just well organised. We won't have all the success we did this season but no reason we can't be difficult to beat again. I don't think Deniz's performances in the relegation season was his true form. If he continues to be a good goalie then we've got him tied down for 3 years, continuity between the sticks for us. If he remains consistent then there's also the potential reward that bigger clubs might come in for him and will have to pay handsomely as he will still be under contract. We've already been fairly ruthless by letting go three players who could argue they deserved a new deal. Chalmers was worthy of a new deal, and finished top of the assists chart in the league, McPake wants continuity not big changes every summer hence why he's tying the core down, experience and youth whilst constantly trying to improve the group with the right people.
  22. Three years seems a bit of a stretch but if he has another season like he had this year then we'll be delighted. I think the reason he looked so poor last season is because of the 10 in front of him. I know some are still at the club, but as a team it was woeful. They've all helped each other improve.
