  1. That'll be Mark Durnan away. Saying farewell to the club on his Instagram. So it begins.
  2. Too busy taking his top off and posing for photos to be a manager.
  3. I think it'll be next week when we find out what current players are staying and who's going. I could count on one hand the players that I'd keep, regardless of who's contracted and who's not - Scully, J Longridge, Beadling, Thomson, Craigen. He's not shone and I've been a critic of his this season, but if Faiss becomes available I'd bring him back and get someone for him to play with. Hopefully being signed with us he's not thinking about Dundee and get some of his confidence back. I got excited when Muirhead signed, thought he would be excellent - he's been far from it. Lazy, looks to have an attitude and like his head is anywhere else but trying to win a game of football, for us at least. I feel loyal to Stevie, but the last few weeks have been awful, absolute dung. Part of me thinks we should give him a go and let him bring in his own men, but part of me can visualise a Jim Goodwin holding the scarf up at East End then absolutely murdering people in pre-season. We've looked so unfit this season. Aye the fixtures won't look great, but I'm happy to see Falkirk go down for obvious reasons. I just enjoy going to the football with my mates, sure the Falkirk game brings more excitement but if we're playing well, scoring and winning I won't care who it's against. Arbroath away sounds tasty, was there for the League Cup game at the beginning of the last title winning season, nice July sunny day. Different ball game in December :).
  4. I think Falkirk will be fine tbh. Thistle weren't terrible last night, we were just better in the second half. Alloa continue to get surprising results. This is far from over but I feel slightly better about it now, especially with Queens at home and Alloa away in the next 10 days.
  5. Aye I thought the Inverness and Thistle fans who said he was crap in the summer were being harsh, given that he managed to win the cup with ICT and was in that Thistle team that finished top 6 in the prem. However, I was very very wrong. He's woeful. Genuinely can't see why AJ got rid of M'Voto, he's better than Devine & Durnan. At least you knew what you were getting with big Jean M'Voto. Apart from the penalty he gave away on the opening day against Livi last season, he was pretty solid. Headers everything including wee Falkirk idiots. Durnan being injured for most of the season means he's slipped under the radar a bit, but from what I seen I've not been impressed, even against lower league opposition in the league cup, the pair of them looked shaky.
  6. Callum Davidson is a great appointment btw. Crawford and Shields should be his assistants as opposed to him being the third man in.
  7. Tam O'Brien is a mate of mines, we were in the same year at QA. When Potter was the gaffer he made an approach for TOB to join the following summer. AJ then came in and nothing happened.
  8. He done a lot better last season than the games against Brechin. He's not the be all and end all but he's better than all other attacking midfielder than we have - Hippo, Higgy, Longridge, Connolly, Muirhead etc.
  9. Tbh everything they said was absolutely spot on. For the record, I've genuinely never heard anyone singing/mocking Craig Gowans. Not saying it doesn't happen, I'm sure it does as we both have idiots in our support, but I've never heard it.
  10. And the Norrie chants if you want to play it that game. Was loud and clear post match from our game at EEP in November.
  11. U-19 Scotland call ups don't really count for anything, few days training every two months, not a consistent daily test which would help him improve. Keena, Anderson and Rudden all have better facilities with better players at their parent clubs and have enjoyed that before being sent out on loan. Smith trains against Danny Devine every day, hardly a test whereas Keena, Anderson and Rudden have trained/played with the first team at Hearts, Aberdeen and Rangers. I'd say it's harsh to compare his development to those three. He's certainly not as good as any of them but I wouldn't really expect him to be.
  12. Players connected to Aberdeen, Rangers & Hearts. You'd think they'd be better wouldn't you?
  13. We're right in the relegation dogfight now. I noticed the form table this morning, we're rock bottom and Falkirk, Thistle and Alloa were all in the top half. The only positive I could take is that since Crawford took over, we've played two of the title contenders and not been absolutely battered. We went away to Morton, another mediocre team and didn't lose. The only aim this season is to stay up, therefore the games Crawford will be judged on are Falkirk, Thistle, Alloa & Morton. We need to get to the end of the season, staying in the league and then get rid of the utter dross. Hopefully Bruce and Faiss work well together, they seemed to look pretty good on Saturday. I'm hearing they're flat sharing together as well so that will hopefully be good for their partnership.
  14. If it gets announced he's signed but can't play until March I'll shake my fist very angrily towards the screen.
  15. I don't get the whole "no cash" game. We had enough cash to sign a goalkeeper that really wasn't needed. Don't get me wrong, I really like Scully but did we really need him?
  16. Any squad with Dobbie in it is instantly better than the rest.
  17. Didn't they weren't, I'd fully expect SC & RM to be doing their best. Wonder if Jackie McNamara is involved in any of this.
  18. Not sacking AJ in November was our biggest mistake. Sacking then might have improved the number of fans through gates, meaning more money to play with. SC & RM absolutely have to replace Keena at the very least. If we fail to bring in anyone I'll happily call the league, announce our exit from this season and advise that we'll see them in the summer for the seaside league.
  19. Painful watching others get players in, good ones as well. Hope we have a late flurry. Now the only club in the division to not make an outfield signing.
  20. Aye I think he had the same issue when he joined us. He was unreal for maybe the last two months of last season, goals and assists a plenty. Boys got it if he knuckles down.
  21. Great signing for you guys. Would have loved him back at the Pars!
  22. Gives the Ayr fans plenty time to get to us once they finish work...
