  1. Brennan Syme m'voto bene coustrain Barr callachan barr johnston Stewart Hardie I reckon this is how we'll shape up, with Thomson filling in for Syme if fit.
  2. Anyone else catch the McHattie interview... The boy loves the word 'obviously'.
  3. I could be wrong but im sure we signed a 16yr old lad from hutchison vale a couple of weeks ago on a development contract. Good to see more investment from that side
  4. This is ridiculous! This will become a huge story once a player gets injured whilst playing for the development team. Only a matter of time
  5. Its funny how its announced that Bates goes to Rangers and everyone finds its weird. The next thing hes on the bench in a cup game and he becomes the next big thing. Im not having a go at the boy but i think some people need to calm their expectations.
  6. Feel free to read the running commentary on the OS. McHattie shot across goal, Vaughan half volley, vaughan free kick and McManus swerving shot... Seem to remember a double save from their keeper too. Im not saying we made loads but we made more than enough to go 2 or 3 ahead on another day.
  7. Cant agree more! Should of had Matthews and Skacel in there from the start. To those who say we didn't create chances must have missed to first 25-30 mins where we created several and with Vaughan and McManus linking well on a few occasions. Our game plan seemed to be to play down the wings which didn't held and Barr and Johnston had an off day.
  8. Scottish Championship ins and outs - summer 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36394320 Quite a good review of all the transfer business done in the league. I don't pay too much attention to other teams but having read what business has been done, I don't see why we shouldn't be challenging for the playoffs again this year.
  9. I would, both have bags of potential but Vaughan is too greedy IMO.
  10. Knew this would happen once these deals were announced. Pars fans would say we're this and that and think we're struggling financially. Truth is, I believe we've reinvested some of the Toshney money but I don't think all of it. It makes sense to bank some and see if we can secure support from local business people if we can. Would you spend your own money if you knew someone would buy something for you? Thought not! Pars fans just jealous that we're cutting our cloth accordingly and doing well on the pitch at the same time.
  11. As much as i like Matthews, i thought he took far too long to get into the game last night. I'd still have him there instead of Callaghan every week though. I'm happy how Locke' coming across on camera, no BS. Nothing worse when a manager buries their head in the sand and doesn't understand the need to change. You can say his subs last night didn't improve the game, but with the limited depth in the team he done all he could.
  12. I fully expect the 2 players to be Thorsen and Skacel. Would be very surprised if it wasn't the pair of them. Good to hear Coustrain can play at left back if needed. That certainly ticks off everywhere but the fowards which could be sorted by Saturday. When was the last time we had our full team before our first league game?
  13. Taking Lockes words in a gather we don't see Hardie as an option as he's well aware we have a young squad and i feel thats why we're looking at Skacel as he has plenty experience
  14. "We want the young ones to go out and play as we did last year. The under-20s environment doesn't suit, so we want the young talents to go out on loan; the likes of Jordan Thompson, Ryan Hardie, Tom Walsh." http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36808852 Seems 100% Hardie will get loaned out. Just a question of where... If we weren't looking at Skacel, i think we'd be doing everything to get Hardie but I don't think are right now
  15. Couldn't agree more! No point being there to get it if your going to do nothing with it. Anybody who thinks seriously beats a man are the ones who need to watch him as an individual because he's rank. Im not saying we have better options, hes the best out a bad bunch. Out of all the transfer talk, ive read that we need strikers, a back up winger and cover for McHattie but we seriously need to replace Craigen. Im happy with the likes of Matthews to replace Toshney, Scott Brown would back that up. But which CM is going to get us approx 10 goals???
  16. Going by the OS retweet, no.18 is Yaw Osei http://www.johnmadejskiacademy.co.uk/specialism/elite-sport/elite-sport-news/2014/09/01/yaw-osei-trials-with-reading-fc-u18s/
