We have been saying that for weeks now, not convinced by the propaganda interview by McCabe eiher. Interesting to see championship side Morton delving into he League 1 jobbers to sign Grant Gillespie a nd Jai Quitongo from Queens Park if that is what is getting picked up from teams league above, what hope have we got..

Jim McInally was saying it's the quietest window player availabi!ity wise this season and struggling to get players in, Looking at the released players from championship and league 1 teams to be honest the majority have been snapped up, a few decent left which would be out of our wage bracket Telfer, Longridge etc surprised Boyd got a gig in the championship would think he would have done job at us... A few on here seem on think we have signed a few unannounced players, not convinced at all.. McCabe has to deliver, have we been caught out here, massive couple of weeks coming up....

Second bottom picture looks like Darren Lyon. Ex Queens Park

I don't think anybody is that naive to be honest, but it sounds like the inner sanctum have dropped major hints of done deal signings, which so far haven't materialized which generate frustration amongst our support, you are right we can sign from other leagues and countries...... Looking at our league QOS have signed a more than decent squad, Falkirk signed well as well , we need at least 10 before our first match against Cowdenbeath you cannot play trialist in that tournament....

Away and don't talk pish, Well done streaky bacon on heavily buttered well done toast is the dish of champions -
I am not normally a critic of the club PR, last couple of seasons has been ok imo, but since the playoff defeat admittedly it was gutting and then losing your entire Football dept more or less,,, As they say you learn more about yourself in adversity, We appointed McCabe and Fordyce bravely ?? New signings give you an idea on where you think you will end up and generate interest and expectation for season ticket sales and beyond.. Our opening season Ticket sales weekend and nothing on the new signings front, all we have is the negativity of the Rico tribunal... Rumours abound (coolled a bit recently) of signings in the clubs opinion that make us a stronger squad and business has been done....I Why not unveil the signings IF they are a done deal......

If your looking for a seven a side kickabout give Airdrie a phone -
Boyd is probably an 8 to 10 goal striker, not great, it remember Smith was only getting 6 or so until his breakout season just ended, brings us into the elephant in the room can you see Murray coming in for Smith before the season, possibly..... Maybe that is the reason we could be *loading* up on forward players....

Tory Boy seems quite happy a little more I TK (reliable though), the club always state they will only unveil new signings when paperwork is signed, can only assume players have agreed to join the club and just need formalities done before the fountain pen appears again..I Still convinced we will sign a couple from Alloa and QOS, hopefully all will be unveiled soon..

Did Rhys McCabe play with any of these lads during his time at QOS.. -
It will be an interesting season and I full expect Dunfermline and Falkirk to contest the title, where we end up I think 3rd would be a successful season, by no means guaranteed, not ideal. But..... We will be fishing in different pools, would not be surprised if we sign a couple of Alloa and QOS players they would probably be in our wage range, we signed a couple of gems last season Frizzell from Dumarton showed no real form prior to joining us and we don't need to talk about Dylan Easton.. we need to build interest and expectation that is down to the club though, Season will be on us before we know it...

Possibly not, unless we can get a physio in by then..... I know a lot of comments are tongue in cheek, but admittedly we do have time, not a lot though, Pre seasons are getting shorter especially if you are involved in latter stages of playoffs, that is the trade off, could be well in hand, although something tells me it is the opposite...

The loan system has a bit of Russian roulette about it, to be fair Murray worked it pretty well, over the years we have had a fair few duds via this system also, if loanees are taking up 25% of your squad they really need o be on point.. another bug bear of mine (not another one you say) is our reluctance to give out 2 year deals to players and Manager, alright I know we signed CB, have CS and SAL on 2 year deals from last year.....that's the reason we are in this state(what state) Easton who was and is the best player to play for ourselves in a generation walk off into the sunset with Murray just ahead of him, let's be blunt we have given 2 year deals to players not due them, Conroy and Page the worst , Keiran MacD was decent enough though... looking at our rivals Falkirk, Dunfermline and QOS are signing well mostly on 2 year deals we must have ambition and match them it is the only way to get the extra quality to compete , the League is stronger this year....

The Lanarkshire Cup is in 3 weeks, still no official word is it because we haven't confirmed we will be taking part...b hopefully the deals apparently done will be unveiled soon, still not convinced we will b e shopping for the game changing players Telfer, Burke etc, I think we might sign 4 experienced players and the rest loanees and youth rejects, which will not be enough to challenge.... The pyramid system is fairly putting a rocket up league 2 and Lowland leaguers, Stenny have signedCraig Bryson on a reported 700 a week parttime, Lowland League EK paying McHugh 500 a week and non league Darvel signing for far skipper Ross Meechan on 400. Our highest earners have been 500 a week full time is Football changing and running the *Hybrid* has no real benefit with lower league teams blowing our Part Time wages out the water (All Wages are rumoured and have been mentioned in previous threads)
